ERASURE IN CONCERT:
Nearly three decades after their debut, British synthpop duo Erasure continue to reign supreme on dance floors around the world. Combining the production skills of Vince Clark and the soaring vocals of Andy Bell, Erasure dominated European airwaves in the '80s and '90s with a massive string of hits that sound as fresh today as they did 25 years ago. Bell is a legendary live performer, maintaining an infectious energy and positivity as he lends his perfectly-preserved pipes to the love-drunk swoon of "Oh L'amour" and the uplifting message of "Chains of Love". The duo's unforgettable live shows never fail to spark impassioned dance parties among nostalgic fans, and their upcoming dates on the Violet Flame 2014 World Tour will be no different.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Erasure was formed in mid-'80s London by former Depeche Mode member Vince Clark and budding singer Andy Bell. Their 1985 debut album Wonderland failed to make much of an impact in Britain, but they hit the big time with their 1987 sophomore album The Circus, which remained on the UK Albums Chart for more than a year on the strength of hit singles "Sometimes" and "Victim of Love". The following year they achieved breakthrough success in America with the Top 20 hits "Chains of Love" and "A Little Respect", both from their third album The Innocents. That album was the first of five consecutive UK No. 1 records for the duo, a streak that culminated with 1994's I Say I Say I Say. With their 16th studio album The Violet Flame hitting shelves in 2014, Erasure will treat fans to a series of electrifying shows in support of the release.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"Andy Bell is one hell of a performer and had a lot of energy to bring their songs to life...I remember looking around and seeing my fellow concertgoers smiling from ear-to-ear and having an amazing sing-along experience. Definitely money well spent."
"Andy and Vince were awesome. The new songs are great and it was a blast hearing the old songs once again."
"Simply amazing! Erasure kept the crowd happy and dancing throughout the whole show."

Erasure put on one of their best concerts in years. Even though Andy Bell was getting over a cold he sounded great. I spent the evening dancing, singing, and cheering. Can't wait until they come back for another tour.
Super short concert, just over an hour of Erasure (too much time talking / chatting between songs). The opening act, Reed and Caroline, was horrible. Seriously thought we were being punked.
Loved them since I was a kid, since I saw them my first time. ❤️
The music speaks for itself. They went to the beginning and latest and everything in between. Excellent sound and lighting. Very entertaining. Had a great time again. The use of the side lighting was fantastic.
The concert was awesome. Erasure sounds like they did in the 80s & 90s. So much fun. Great set list.
Was an awesome concert but I have to say was over waaaaaay to fast!
The band got on stage a little after nine and wrapped up at ten. What a short show. They were supposed to play another 45 minutes. Everyone in the crowd was very upset we paid to see this band that only played for an hour. Will NEVER see them again or have anything good thing to say about this experience. All the staff didn't even know why they wrapped up so early. Shameful. I home Toyota Music Factory never brings them back.
Erasure is always just spot on. The music is fun, the crowd was dancing and singing along. Couldn't ask for a better time.
Wonderful show, sang most of their hits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The sound was horrible for the venue on the lawn. I don't know if it was the speakers or the engineering, regardless it was off. It should have been clear and it was like I was sitting in a really old car with blown speakers.
These guys sold out the stadium and kept everyone dancing for the entire show.
Loved Erasure. Sound, lighting, and presentation were great. Crowd was feeling it. The weather was a perfect Texas summer day... which was maybe a bit much for Andy Bell... wearing 3 layers and being British. But he was a pro about it... singing and dancing. He and Vince played some of my favorite new wave electro pop songs. Had a really fun night. Only issue is the outrageous drink prices.
Andy and Vince always put on a good show, that's a given. Couple of "technical" points... saw them from the lawn seats. The sound from midway back, left-of-center was... "muddy". My guess is the time delay between the main and reinforcement speakers was set wrong. MAYBE just the particular spot we were sitting In. Wasn't particularly loud (we were able to talk to each other at a normal voice level), and the dialog, when Andy was talking, was unintelligable. And... it was short. Wasn't timing it, but it felt like it was about an hour. We all looked at each other after the encore and the lights came up like... "that's it?" Probably don't need to tell anyone this, but... food/drinks... STUPID expensive. I chose not to have anything rather than get ripped off like that.
If you are a fan of 80’s to early 90’s British Pop Music than you are most likely a fan of Erasure. As expected, you can alway count on an irreverent Andy Bell and a quiet Vince Clarke to perform the majority of their hit songs with a smattering of newer songs. Although Andy was recovering from a cold, he gave a strong performance and every person in the pavilion was singing along with their hands in the air. The only negative of the night was their opening act; Reed & Caroline that resembled and sounded like the last call at your local karaoke bar.
Good location, greater good options around it. Drinks a little pricey inside the venue.
Erasure put on an amazing show (as usual), but it was way too short!
If you have never seen Erasure, then go see them! Andy Bell puts on a great show and is full of energy so that you have no choice but to sing and dance. We've seen them 4 times, but this time the sound was horrible. I don't know if it was the venue which was a new place for us, or if their sound engineer didn't know how to mix the sound, but the bass was so high that you could barely hear the vocals. We will try another concert soon at Toyota Music Factory and if her sound sucks like Andy's, then we will know it's the venue.
Heard news that Andy Bell was sick, and had to cancel the a previous show. He sounded pretty good to me! Vince, as always, was awesome!
Erasure played so many of their favorite songs. Although the concert was short, it was fun.
