ERASURE IN CONCERT:

Nearly three decades after their debut, British synthpop duo Erasure continue to reign supreme on dance floors around the world. Combining the production skills of Vince Clark and the soaring vocals of Andy Bell, Erasure dominated European airwaves in the '80s and '90s with a massive string of hits that sound as fresh today as they did 25 years ago. Bell is a legendary live performer, maintaining an infectious energy and positivity as he lends his perfectly-preserved pipes to the love-drunk swoon of "Oh L'amour" and the uplifting message of "Chains of Love". The duo's unforgettable live shows never fail to spark impassioned dance parties among nostalgic fans, and their upcoming dates on the Violet Flame 2014 World Tour will be no different.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Erasure was formed in mid-'80s London by former Depeche Mode member Vince Clark and budding singer Andy Bell. Their 1985 debut album Wonderland failed to make much of an impact in Britain, but they hit the big time with their 1987 sophomore album The Circus, which remained on the UK Albums Chart for more than a year on the strength of hit singles "Sometimes" and "Victim of Love". The following year they achieved breakthrough success in America with the Top 20 hits "Chains of Love" and "A Little Respect", both from their third album The Innocents. That album was the first of five consecutive UK No. 1 records for the duo, a streak that culminated with 1994's I Say I Say I Say. With their 16th studio album The Violet Flame hitting shelves in 2014, Erasure will treat fans to a series of electrifying shows in support of the release.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Andy Bell is one hell of a performer and had a lot of energy to bring their songs to life...I remember looking around and seeing my fellow concertgoers smiling from ear-to-ear and having an amazing sing-along experience. Definitely money well spent."

"Andy and Vince were awesome. The new songs are great and it was a blast hearing the old songs once again."

"Simply amazing! Erasure kept the crowd happy and dancing throughout the whole show."

  • As good as ever!

by DavidPinky on 10/20/14House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Typical Erasure concert, beatiful music, excellent audio, nice and simple stage. It was a great show full of 12" mixes, and plenty of new and good material. Starting the show with Oh Lmour was just awesome, got everyone fired up from the get go. Plenty of classics played too. Andy and Vince may have aged physically, but their music just doesn't get old. Very lucky to have such a good group still around. Can't wait for the next tour!!

  • I love erasure

This show is always phenomenal! I always have a great time seeing erasure. My only complaint is that the crowd... When singing along... Sing louder than Andy bell does. Not the show or artists fault.

  • Probably my favorite concert ever!!!

Don't miss this show! High energy. Played the songs we love the most. Andy is a fabulous entertainer and I will not miss any future Erasure shows. We had a blast.

This was an excellent show! Andy was in superb voice, and Vince was rocking the house with the remixes of old classics!

Erasure was freaking amazing, didn't want the show to end, saw them in the early 90's & still just as incredible.

I've loved Erasure since the late 1980s but somehow never saw them live. They were worth the wait! I highly recommend going to see them, it's such a fun show!

Erasure sounded so great. I danced the entire show. I would go to another show again and again, no doubt about it!

  • first concert in 10 years.

    by richie712rich on 10/15/14Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

I have always wanted to see Erasure. Was not dissappointed. It was a wakup call that I am now in my 50's,,, the reason I say this is because I was supprised at all the older people and then realized that they were all my age. I loved the set, the lights, the playlist, the interaction with the crowd.

  • Erasure did not disappoint!

by Jeto on 10/14/14Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

I was worried about the seats I got because I was taking my sister and niece who drove in from San Antonio. They ended up being perfect and the show was great. They were better than the last time I saw them in what was then called "Verizon Theatre." Of course the drinks were way overpriced and the seats are practically on top of each other, but I'm rating the show and it was excellent!

  • Erasure didn't miss a beat!!

Such a fun performance!! The new songs are just as wonderful as their "classic" songs.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. The sound, stage, lighting, artist - everything was perfect! This is my favorite venue in Houston!

  • Erasure brought back memories!!!

Andy Bell is always the entertainer. He is so full of energy. And, Vincent Clarke the quiet and super talented one is always on point with the electronic audio mind explosion.

  • Erasure could have done better concert

by artmaul on 10/14/14Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

I'm an Erasure fan and saw them in concert many years ago, back then was fun because they had dancers, nice scenery and several dress changes. Now all that is gone and makes their concert sub-standard and not to the part to their contemporaries, still fun but expected more.

  • by Cooperaggie on 10/14/14Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

Erasure sounded great. Exciting show. Andy Bell has a great voice, still

  • Erasure's still got it after all these years!

    by KellsBells123 on 10/14/14Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

We had so much fun. I have lived in Houston for about 8 years and have never had the chance to explore the Theater District. The parking was so convenient. The staff at Bayou Music was so friendly and no matter where you sat, you had amazing seats. Also enjoyed their opening act, Dangerous Muse. It was my first time hearing them and they were incredible and so very nice. We got to stop by and do a meet and greet with them on our way out after the show. They were extremely humble and took their time posing for pictures with us. Had an amazing night!

  • Erasure rocked, people are terrible!

by gatekpr on 10/14/14Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Who doesn't LOVE Erasure!? How simple, Vince Clark, Andy Bell, some backup singers and great lighting. Simple. Easy. Classic. They played all their hits, unlike most who would push the new album. I've seen them a few times, they're such great artists! You had one terrible person hold up a DIGITAL CAMERA the whole time... extended arm length, when he wasn't doing that, recording the whole show from his camera, he was holding up his cell phone.

  • Awesome Show!!

    by cab710 on 10/14/14Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

I have been an Erasure fan since the 80's and they always put on a great show!! Their music speaks for it's self and I love that they always sing their big hits from the old days.
