Was my second time seeing Ensiferum. Great show, great sound. They need to headline next time for a longer set-list.

Septicflesh was awesome. I definitely plan on seeing them again if and when they come back. I don't like Ensiferum at all! So I left before they started Septicflesh was the only reason I went to that concert bottom line Septicflesh hell yes!

  • Energy fueled mosh concert

by Roostersmith on 1/8/19Baltimore Soundstage - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

The band played flawlessly. The energy they projected translated directly to the audience and the mosh pit was continuous. The crowd sang what they could while moshing about and the band's interaction was appreciated. Being this was a band that I've wanted see for some time they met my expectations and more. The absence of the song Dragonheads was not missed since the played most of their hits that they're known for plus Two Paths. The background of the accordion laden songs was recorded, but did not distract from the bands performance. The venue allowed plenty of viewing areas and the bathroom was clean. (that's a plus). Thanks Ensiferum! for a great show.

  • Roar like a viking.

by LittleBigViking on 6/4/15Brighton Music Hall - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my third concert ever and my first metal concert. Ensiferum is the first metal band I've ever listened to and seeing them in person was pretty much magical. Korpiklaani was fantastic. It didn't matter that I didn't know many of their songs it was an experience to behold none the less. The opening band trollfest was a boat load of laughs and great music, The Venue was small but not cramped it was very cozy. All in all a great experience and there really isn't anything like roaring with a couple hundred people.

  • All three bands were amazing!

by Zubei on 5/27/15Brighton Music Hall - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Trollfest started off the set with a hilarious performance. I was surprised at how great it was, because I honestly have not listened to them too much. Their cover of Toxic was incredible, and the interaction with the audience was great. Next up was Korpiklaani. Incredible performance. Played a great set including Vodka and Rauta. Loved the live performance of Rauta with the audience shouting "Iske!" Ensiferum was amazing. They had to replace their keyboardist with someone, but that someone was Netta Skog, former member of Turisas! Amazingly fun performance from this band. Towards the end, Netta came out wearing a police outfit and everyone in the band changed instruments and covered Judas Priest's Breaking The Law, Long sets from all of these bands. over 3 hours total. Well worth the price of admission. I hope these bands come back to the US soon!

The show was fantastic. First on the bill was a Folk metal band named Trollfest from Norway. A very original funny & funny bunch. They were on for about 7 songs. Next up was the co headliners Korpiklaani from Finland the 2nd Folk metal group. They were on for 12 awesome songs & Last up was Ensiferum. A Folk/Viking group also that also hails from Finland. They played for I believe 11 songs. This was all around a great show!

Flew from Florida to California to see this concert (it was on my 43rd birthday, and the tour isn't coming to my area). I had seen Korpiklaani in Tampa in 2010 but was "meh" on them since I had seen 6 bands in a long day prior to their set. I was so thrilled I made the trip, was worth every penny! I brought a good friend of mine who lives near the HOB Sunset Strip, he went in cold deliberately. Every band was better than the next, and TrollfesT was an impressive start to up the ante on! I had never seen or heard of TrollfesT, but was immediately impressed by their stage presence and the songs! Got pulled into the pit for their conga song, and I'm usually just a "pit goalie" these days! Korpiklaani was either much improved, or I wasn't paying good enough attention last time. Great musicianship, and the vibe was great! I had been more attuned to Ensiferum's "slower" material, and told my friend that they would be less intense than Korpiklaani, as we got knocked into a few times at the pit edges. Man, was I caught in a red-faced lie! Almost every song was harder and faster in the live setting than they capture on CD. One of the most lively sets I've seen in a while, the pit was intense, and not one song they played was a dud. They also kept going and going based on crowd response, the encore lasting 5 songs, with one being a cover of "Breaking the Law" where the band members switched instruments! My buddy is a new convert to all 3 bands, and I also got my picture with TrollfesT, as well as one of their guitar picks! If this tour comes to your town, drop EVERYTHING you have going on and get your ass to the venue!

The musicians were very skilled. It was a lot of fun and even a little educational about Scandinavian folklore.Loads of fun! Please come back to the US again soon!
