About

EN VOGUE IN CONCERT:

En Vogue have been giving audiences something they can feel since their red-hot 1990 debut album Born to Sing. Combining impressive vocal harmonies and a sassy, empowered lyrical sensibility, the R&B divas dominated '90s airwaves, becoming one of the most successful girl groups of the decade. At their 2013 concerts, the ladies stunned crowds with their pitch-perfect a cappella breakdowns, sharp choreography, and stylish stage presence, building anticipation for their 2014 tour dates.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"En Vogue sang their hearts out and even went a little over their time."

"These three ladies put on quite the show. The song selection was great! They also took time to thank the audience on more than one occasion, making me feel good about spending my hard earned money to see them."

"The concert was amazing!! The ladies were so down to earth and very entertaining... I would definitely go again..."

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in the mold of the legendary girl groups of the '50s and '60s, En Vogue's throwback sound resonated with audiences, propelling their 1990 debut Born to Sing to No. 3 on the Top R&B Albums chart. 1992 follow-up Funky Divas would prove an even bigger success, earning the band a host of awards and five Grammy nominations with ubiquitous No. 1's "My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)" and "Giving Him Something He Can Feel." The group's sophisticated image, benefitting from several stylish videos in heavy rotation on MTV, added to their appeal, earning them more MTV Video Music Awards than any other female group in history. Despite lineup changes over the years, original members Terry Ellis and Cindy Herron remain, ensuring that En Vogue's live show remains loyal to the group's heyday.

    En Vogue @ Center Stage

by PamR on 7/11/09Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

The show was fantastic. The ladies STILL have "it". They sounded just like the tracks from the CDs (if only artists now-a-days had the talent of En Vogue). The only downside was the DJ that warmed up the crowd. Spent way to much time chatting about the after party, and playing warm-up music. The show started an hour or so later then advertised. Honestly, unacceptable!

    EnVogue is Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by ATLtoDC on 7/11/09Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

EnVogue brought down the house!! There was a change in the line up, Tank was schedule to open up for them but instead Montell Jordan did. Surprisingly I really enjoyed his performace. I was so glad to see the orginal envogue back together, yes DAWN was there! Those ladies are in their 40s and look better than most of these young singers today. They played all my songs, I would have liked them to perform the MJ/smokey robinson "when I had you" but they didnt'. I was grooving to every song and so was the crowd. I am happy to see EnVogue back in it!!

    Funky Divas

by MoVogue on 7/11/09Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

I went to see EnVogue in a small venue in Atlanta. After seeing this group on TV and other media for over 15 years, I expected more hype. A lot of people did not know about the show due to poor promotions. The venue was not sold out and the crowd was forgettable. Come on Atlanta! This is EnVogue! This super-group did not have a live band and performed to tracks which gave it a sing-a-long feeling. There were no costume changes. They ran through the songs wearing white tops and denim bottoms. Cyndi was great leading the songs. Terri was beautiful as ever. Dawn did her thing. I was really surprised at Maxine's voice when she lead a song. Max was hot!!! The vocals and notable harmonies are still on point after all of these years.

    En Vogue still got it

by Bradley on 7/11/09Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

First off Center Stage is the place to see an act. Secondly, En Vogue was very good and still look great as well. Montell Jordan opened up and was great as well.

    They are Back!

by MicS on 7/11/09Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

After many iterations of members over the years since the 90's the original team is back and they are great! Their voices sound just as great as they did in the early 90's, they look great and can still command a stage ... Really exceeded my expectations, except the set was too short .. its as if the show at Center Stage was a teaser for their return this summer at Chastain ... but really enjoyed this a lot

EnVogue was amazing but Silk was awful

by DMR222 on 7/11/09Twin River Event Center - Lincoln

Envogue is a classy group of women with amazing voice and stage presence. The medly of songs appeared well rehearsed and it was great. However, they need a different opening act. The silk show was AWFUL and it didn't even reach the level of a rehearsal. It was childish and they didn't even sing one full song! What a waste of money on them but Envogue made up for it.

    En Vogue still sounds great!

by Keranda on 7/11/09Twin River Event Center - Lincoln

I loved their set list, they got everybody up and dancing when they did the old discos songs. I loved that they ended with my favoirte song, Hold On. They were also very entergetic and I liked their dance moves. It was a great time!

En Vogue was the Jump Off!

by Bride2b2010 on 7/11/09Twin River Event Center - Lincoln

Honestly, I would have to say that this was one the best concerts that I have been to! The concert was up close and personal. It was great to see of the four girls united again! I was a little disappointed that they didn't sing more songs from their Funky Divas album. The venue was a little small, but it worked out overall. I was able to take some up close and personal shots with my camera! They sang about 5 hit songs, "Hold On," "Never Gonna Get It," "Whatta Man," "Don't Let Go," and "Free Your Mind." It brought old time memories! They haven't missed a beat; they look great (can't tell that they have kids, married), and sang wonderfully!

    Envogue captures the magic!

by Martyc2 on 7/11/09Twin River Event Center - Lincoln

Envogue is definitely worth the trip! They sang and performed all their big hits and sounded great in full harmony. I did feel at times that the music mix was off as the band played louder than the lead singers. Silk was there mainly for the ladies as they sang their swoon "party in the bedroom" karaoke songs to ecstatic women. The worse part was a 1 hour delay before the show started. Why advertise an 8pm start time when the show actually began at 9pm?

    The Real Ones Are Back

by JRod on 7/6/09Lot C at Camden Yards - Baltimore

From thair first note to the last EnVogue did it. They showed why they were and still are the queens of the female singing groups. With harmony so tight you couldn't squizze a hair between them and a stage show that was as polished as a patent leather shoe. I for one am glad they are back. Long live the " Funky Diva's"

    EN VOGUE @ AFRAM 2009

by Shame218 on 7/6/09Lot C at Camden Yards - Baltimore

EN VOGUE was amazing! I have been a fan of theirs since the beginning- 1990 (when I was a freshman in High School)! Never having seen them live, this was an opportunity that I could not miss, especially since this was the ORIGINAL 4: Terry, Cindy, Dawn & Maxine! The ladies still have it: amazing voices, beauty, and a friendly synergy that would make any fan temporarily forget they broke up once upon a time! Most importantly, they were having fun! It was gorgeous, listening to them with fireworks as the backdrop! I am ready for a comeback!

    WHAT A SHOW!

by Desky on 7/5/09Lot C at Camden Yards - Baltimore

My husband and I really enjoyed the Tony Toni Tone and En Vogue show. Both performances were great. It's great to see Tony Toni Tone still give an excellent performance without Raphael Saadiq and En Vogue getting back together again to give an excellent performance as well.
