Elbow's return visit follows quickly after four mesmerising performances last July, including sold out shows in Melbourne and Sydney and a remarkable set at the Splendour in the Grass festival.
Elbow have consistently delivered impeccable, brilliant live shows. "Elbow are as close to a perfect live band any punter could hope for..." Fasterlouder
The band's graceful, lush orchestral sounds a gently sublime mix of the intricately elegant, poignant, and elative, rousing crescendos serve up stunning renditions from their five album repertoire.
Up front, Guy Garvey fills the room with his angelic vocals, undeniable stage presence and natural charisma; his generous between song banter building a strong rapport between band and audience. "‘Open Arms' was triumphant, ‘Station Approach' possessed an almost hypnotic jubilation and set closing ‘One Day Like This' was positively euphoric." Drum Media
"We think we may have gone to musical heaven..." Inpress 2011 marks Elbow's 20 year anniversary and the release of their fifth studio album, ‘Build A Rocket Boys'. ‘Build A Rocket Boys' follows debut album ‘Asleep in the Back', ‘Cast of Thousands', ‘Leaders of the Free World' and their fourth album, the 2008 Mercury Music Prize winning ‘The Seldom Seen Kid'.

Wasting no time, a stripped down, acoustic, second album ‘Flaws', was released a year later making the UK top 10. ‘A Different Kind of Fix' is Bombay Bicycle Club's latest offering, cited as a their best record yet and a promise of more to come. The band have built a fiercely loyal UK fan base to which they're about to add a whole lot more Australians. Immerse in the sounds of Elbow, with special guests Bombay Bicycle Club.

I only knew a few Elbow songs before seeing them live but, I'm a fan now. Great show.
Elbow is the perfect combination of really talented musicians, with a wonderful singer, smart and sensitive lyrics, with a witty delivery. They can rock and then they can effectively render a beautiful, sensitive ballad. I came away feeling that this is almost perfect, which, in my experience, happens very rarely indeed. The lead singer holds the audience in his hand, with humor and interesting commentary. They didn't try to be too loud, so the sound was very good all over the Fox Theater. Anywhere you sat or stood or danced it was fantastic!
Once again, Elbow proved to be masters of their craft and delivered a finely honed set list that covered selections from their new album , "The Take Off and Landing of Everything" and outstanding selections from their deep catalogue of crowd pleasers. Having seen them on different tours in different parts of the world, this one was special as it was in my own stomping grounds and at a small venue. They seemed a little more 'casual' than usual, but it did not take away from their professionalism and delivery. The newer songs proved road-ready, and we saw the beginnings of a couple of new classics ( "Sad Captains", "New York Morning", "Real Life (Angel)". Guy Garvey's vocal performance was nothing short of breathtaking, all emotion, melodies and nuances in place. If you have never seen Elbow live, and are a fan, I strongly urge you to check out their next show.
The sound was great, Guy's voice was smooth and they engaged the audience as if it was a house party; they all looked like they loved their job!
I can't believe how amazing these guys are. Last time they were at terminal 5 and killed it, but these time... Well, I think it was even better. Tight ass band, amazing sound, and Guy's vocals ripped through the whole place. Set was tops as well.
I'm so happy to see that America finally "gets it." Elbow is unique. Not many bands can do a live show and sound great but Elbow nailed it. The words to their songs paint pictures. Happy it was sold out and becoming popular here. So many people were singing the words! When are they coming back? House of Blues is beautiful inside, but as a venue it's horrible. Many people had the view of someone's back. We were lucky to ferret in and out and found ourselves upstairs where we had an ok view. They need a bigger venue next time, like Rosemont Theater.
So great to see Elbow back in Boston, even better to see the great turnout and seeing the crowd singing along. Elbow is an amazing band and I am so glad to see there U.S. following grow. Can not wait until they return.
Elbow took the stage and took control of the room. From opening song "Charge," Guy Garvey masterfully led his mates through an unforgettable set of classics from Elbow's back catalog and new material from their latest record. This is a must-see show for all fans of Elbow and highly recommended for anyone interested in a transcendent evening of progressive alternative Brit rock.
Awesome show, why don't more people in North America know this band? 1500 people in a great venue for a band that draws 10000 in England. It was like having your own private show with the best band in England today. Buy tickets, do not miss them, pray they come back.
From the perfection of Guy Garvey's voice to the well-balanced sound, everything about this show was fantastic. The performance was warm and intimate; the band flourished; they played each and every song I was hoping for.
Perfect venue to see/hear this band, which I've been following for years now. They played a mix great mix of new and old, and they excel at performing their songs live even more exciting than on CD.
Incredible!!!!!!!!!!! From start to finish! Elbow rocks!!!
Elbow was unbelievable! They sound just as good as their CDs. I could listen to Guy Garvey sing all day! They did a nice mix of older & their new songs. I've loved them since 2002 when I bought Asleep in the Back.
Elbow always is a fantastic show, but they were excellent in this venue. Can't wait for them to come back to the states!
Elbow never fails to disappoint and keeps the energy up, even when playing their slower material. The band sounds even better live than they do on their CDs, and the obvious passion they have for playing is best enjoyed in person.
These guys always put on an amazing show, and I love hearing how well they recreate their songs live. The arrangements are always so simple yet so effective. Glad I could catch them on another tour.
Beautiful venue, incredible performance. Definitely among the best shows I have ever been to.
I have loved Elbow's recordings for a long time and had heard that they were amazing in concert. Well, they completely lived up to their reputation. Every song was even better live than on recording and this is one of the tightest bands I have ever seen. Two songs in and I could just not believe how good they are. Guy Garvey's voice is fantastic and his stage presence is great - he really connects with the audience. Do not miss a chance to see them. I would go again in a heartbeat.
Elbow is one great band live. We saw them in New York a few years ago and their live performances are a must to see. This show at the electric factory was as superb. We would see them again!
