I Love El so much that I named my daughter after him Eldra/Eldrina. I am going to see him in Tampa (October 20 and Miami December 3). My daughter died š at the age of 19 in 2019. I miss her so much!!!
I saw EL in Miami at the Jazz in the Gardens. He was my only reason for attending. Wonderful performance, vocals on point. I will be seeing him again in Orlando.
Had a blast at the ATL Love Train Tour. I have all his albums and still play them in my rotation. First time seeing him and he dud but disappoint. Wish he had a band support him in his act to make it even better, and he still can sing and hit those notes when needed. I need to see him again in a smaller more intimate venue. Love, love, that heās performing so well and I had a chance to see him and get a bucket list item achieved. Much love to all who support and God bless. Hope to see him again soon.
El DeBarge did not dissapoint at the Last Stop in the Love Train tour. He still songs amazingly and is a great entertainer. I was so happy but wished he would have sang more. I would love to see him again! Come to Birmingham, Alabama El!
Perfect vocals. Engaged the crowd. I woyld like to see him headline. He was opening act so we got maybe 5 songs. Understood though since he opened.
Upon reading reviews I must remind people that his brother had just died so yes he was somewhat sad. Also the audio was horrible. Artist also perform in the time slot the promoter gives then with the amount of time they are told they have. He was given 15 minutes. This happens when there are so many acts on a show.
I attended R&B Fest on 10/30/21 which included El DeBarge and many other singers, but I was really only there for El DeBarge. He was like the 2nd act to come out which was strange to me because heās a bigger name than some of the others who performed that evening. Then he only did 3 songs and he had issues with his audio which he later apologized for. He looked very adorable. He did a lot of flirting with the women in the first row and telling the audience how he āhasnāt gotten any action in awhile.ā His voice sounded good after he fixed the mic. But tbh, he didnāt seem like he wanted to be there. It was still a great show and I would go see him again.
You will not regret going to his show. He sang all of his classics hits.
El DeBarge is blessed by God with a great amount of talent. He is going to do greater events.
He didnāt truly sing as much as he entertained the ladies. He would skip high notes and verses and let audience sing. Different from show last year.
Well, he stayed true to form and had another massive mishap requiring The Birchmere to offer refunds to patrons. We were told about 5pm (after I stood in about an hour of ice cold weather in line) that his flight was not landing until 8:05pm. At Dulles! Yes, Dulles. So they had no way of knowing how soon after show time he would actually hit the stage. Therefore, we opted for the refund. I hear he hit the stage eventually about 9:20, which was just unreasonably late for a 7:30pm show. I only came from DC, but I felt bad for the people I met in line who came from Baltimore, Richmond, Norfolk and even flew in town for his show from Memphis. I cannot imagine how he is making money like this, even though his tickets were the most expensive tickets we even bought at the Birchmere, EVER. El, stop touring until you can get a handle on whatever issues you are having that are precluding you from 100% fulfilling your show date obligations. You are obliterating your legacy with your fans in this industry.
El still has it!!! Enjoyed the show. El was over an hour late and I'm not sure if that is why he didn't perform any of his songs from his solo career. I will definitely see him again.
What a professional! His airplane was late but when El arrived -- he went to work! This was my second time seeing him in concert and he has not disappointed either time. I plan to see him again whenever he is in the area.
Loved El's performance because his singing was true perfection. He has maintained his falsetto for decades. Wow. He made the songs from my childhood come alive and I thoroughly was entertained. I was even surprised that he sang a few verses from Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" and tried to even dance like him. I let that slide because I love El but next time stick to your own music. LOL.
Elās plane caused him to start his set about two hours late, but his backup band and a fill-in singer did a fair job of keeping the crowd entertained until El arrived. El was fantastic as usual but Birchmereās menu needs an update.
So I knew I would enjoy El DeBarge because his music is the soundtrack to my teenage years. What I didn't expect was him to entertain with such youthful exuberance and relevance to today's culture and standard of entertainment- he was simple awesome. He performed all of his hits and his family standards, plus Michael Jackson, some R&B classics, and straight out party music. He's pure talent- he plays the keyboard, dances, and sings with no back-up singers or fillers. He's voice is like silk, he's still got it!
A little late but, the concert was one of the best I have been to because of audience interaction.
OUTSTANDING!!! Yes, the show started late, but he never failed nor waivered in delivering his absolute best. Thanks El. Can't wait for the next show. Stay blessed. P.S.....my man says "Good looking out, Man. My girl brought the show home, and....."
El Debarge was late to the venue due to a delayed flight but he performed like a true legend. Sung all the hits and some other artist hits, amazing service, food was good except BBQ was nasty. But overall El Debarge was FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
