My husband and I went to see Eddie Griffin at the Wilbur this past weekend. I have never been to the Wilbur before but loved the set up. Every seat was a great seat just about. The drinks were good (not weak). Best of all Eddie. Funny funny funny! Would see him again in a second! Thanks for a great fun night out Mr. Griffin!
Funny as hell! Had a great time and laughed all night long. Glad he tore up the heckler! Definetely worth the money. I hope he comes back to New England soon.
It was great to see such a famous Balck comedian like Eddie Griffin at the Wilbur Theatres. Boston usually does not have that many options for night life events other than bars and clubs so it was nice to do something different. I didn't expect the seating to be set-up the way it was. I felt crowded and uncomfortable. I paid for the better tickets and still didn't have satisfactory seating. Other than that, his jokes were great and I had a great time.
this comedian and comedy show was real nice i will go see him again when ever he comes to the bean town
I go see him whenever he is in town, never the same jokes twice!
Show was great! I can't believe it wasnt sold out! Great Pricing for the seats, Staff was pleasant. But Eddie is clearly the reason people came. He was great, proformed for what seemed to be twice as long as he was scheduled for. He was joke after Joke funnier then ever. The second floor of that theater is a scary place I recomend paying to sit on the ground floor! Building is beautiful to see but is clearly built and restored to hold the early 1900's style. I noticed many customers hanging on to the chairs when stepping up and down the stairway. But I'd go back in a minute to see him again.
He is hilarious and we had lots of fun. It was much more enjoyable than seeing him on TV.
This show was very funny and I will definitely go back and see him again when in the Boston area!!!! I would recommend people to go see him and the realness he brings to the stage!!!!!!!!!!!
My girl friend and I enjoyed ourselves very much can't wait to see him again .
This cat was funny and very entertaining. I iked hearing his stories as they related to other well know celebrities. He did a great job with a rude heckler. The woman ended up getting bounced out with her boy friend because she was such an ass.
So funny, and was on stage for about an hour and a half, so it was a long performace. Anyone who just enjoys dirty comedy would enjoy this. He talked about so many different things and really had a good flow going. Would see him again in a heartbeat.
Excellent very very very good. You should have him on again. I will definitely see him or Bill maheur again.
He was hilarious! Great show!!! Would def. go see him again!!!
Amazing show. I feel like I cheated Ticketmaster by purchasing tickets to an event that was worth much more than $45! Kudos to Eddie Griffin for making January 30, 2010 a memorable one!
hilarious. he reacted with the audeince too. soo funny.made fun of everyone
He was great, the Wilbur theater was great (as usual), and the show lasted more than 2 hours. Got my bang for my buck.
EDDIE KEPT US LAUGHING ALL NIGHT. GREAT SHOW. HOPE TO SEE AROUND IN THE AREA SOON..
Tough there were several funny moments, much of the show sounded like the rant of a drunk (he was constantly drinking during the show), angry, old man going off on a tangent. The last 30 minutes we were there - we left early, something that's NEVER happened at a comedy show before - had almost almost no jokes and very little laughter from the crowd. I have to believe that we were not the only people feeling uncomfortable and wondering where the punchlines were. Very dissapointing.
After reading some sketchy reviews about the Hu Ke Lau in Chicopee MA, I was concerned that the food and service would be a disappointment. But since it was Eddie Griffin's show, anybody could have told me anything about the place and I still would've went. And I'm so glad I did - it was a fabulous night! The line was long, but it moved very fast. The place was packed but the servers were quick, polite, and the food was delivered in a timely manner. I was impressed. The food is decent - no better or worse than you'd get anywhere else. It is slightly more expensive though - maybe a few dollars more per entree than you'd pay at other places. But hey - no other place had Eddie Griffin there, so it was well worth it. Atmosphere was good and the show was awesome! The opening comic was extremely funny and Eddie was everything in person that he is on TV. I cannot remember the last time I laughed so hard - even my stomach hurt from all the laughing. Can't wait to go again!!!!
