  • Not great

by RAP on 4/23/2424th Street Park - Virginia BeachRating: 2 out of 5

I have been going for years. This is the lowest amount of vendors for the price. We only had 10 vendors.

  • She Crab Festival

It was very organized. The lines moved quickly and the soups were delicious.

  • Great Event

2nd year attending. Outstanding way for local resturants to shine.

  • Okay but

by Kev on 4/23/2424th Street Park - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

The festival was great, a little disappointed that more restaurants weren't represented. Also I think the sample portions should be a least 2 oz we paid 30 each for probably 3/4 cup of soup if that and it only took us about 30 min to taste test the 10 there , give us just a little more for the money, each restaurant should bring enough to accommodate the number of tickets sold again at least 2 to 3 oz servings each

  • It was ok

by Shelly on 4/23/24Rating: 3 out of 5

We were disappointed in that there was only 10 restaurants participating, the portion were very small. The spoons were even smaller, very long lines basically had to get one sample and just get in line for the next, didn’t have much time to just enjoy your time there. The drink prices were, extremely high in my opinion. Our group had fun just because we were all together, but we won’t be returning to this event again.

  • Best one yet!

Well organized, well staffed, and the lines weren't too long. Oh and the soups were very good.

Ten vendors. Soups ranged from the very good, to how did they get entered. Be prepared to only have a very small sample, about one ounce from each vendor. It's not a meal, just a tasting event, but it's a fun event, especially if the weather is good. Well organized and good entertainment.

  • All vendors and volunteers were very pleasant. Very fun!

by Tammy on 4/25/2324th Street Park - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

All vendors did a great job and the soup was great! Fun family environment. The only suggestion I would make would be to offer 'other than alcohol' beverages for us non partakers :-) It is an annual event for our group of friends. Can't wait for next year.

  • Beautiful day and well organized

by Pinkie on 4/25/2324th Street Park - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

I go every year and was a little disappointed in the number of vendors. This year there was only 10 vendors when it’s usually more. The price of the tickets are kind of steep for 10 samples in my opinion. Over all, still a great time and the band was great as well!

  • Love she crab soup

by Piggy on 4/25/2324th Street Park - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

I was disappointed there weren't more vendors. She crab soup was good except Atlantic Pints, theirs was bitter.

  • Disappointing

by Michael on 4/25/2324th Street Park - Virginia BeachRating: 2 out of 5

Small, expensive event. Ten restaurants, each serving you a tiny mouthful of soup. Half of them didn’t even quite know what she crab soup was. Not worth the money, just go to a restaurant and pay less for 10x the quantity and quality. It also makes no sense to not invite previous years’ winners back, you’re kneecapping your own event

  • 2nd year attendee

by Julie on 4/25/2324th Street Park - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

The check in is confusing with both the box office and the will call in the same spot. Having people with e-tickets go straight into the event with someone scanning tickets and giving bracelets near where you had the voting sheets would have been easier. Water stations would be a nice addition. I’m interested to know if making the voting completely electronic lowered your voting percentage. I know it’s much easier for you but it’s also easier for people to forget to do it. Otherwise an awesome event! Will be back next year!

  • Just ok

by Lisa on 4/25/2324th Street Park - Virginia BeachRating: 2 out of 5

It was very expensive considering you pay $25 (pre purchase- $40 at the door) and you only received MAYBE a cup of soup total. Each restaurant gave you about a tablespoon of soup. If you wanted a drink you had to pay. Lines were very long. We were actually worried we wouldn’t have time to try them all in the 2 hour window. I love the idea of this but the execution was not the best. I’ll save my money next year.

  • Enjoyed it so much

by Syl on 2/7/20Rating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I attended last year. Even though there was a misty rain during the event, we had so much fun. I had no idea there was such a wide range of flavors that could be had in she-crab soup. Some were phenomenal - some were so-so, but that is what made it interesting. If was a well organized event. The live band entertainment was great also. We definitely plan to attend this year too!
