East Coast She-Crab Soup Classic Tickets

This is my 3rd she crab festival. This time there were only 9 vendors vs 12 last year. I think you need to add some new vendors and take it back to 12. Plus it adds some variety to the event.

It was delicious! Finally a place to get she crab soup without visiting all of the restaurants.

Only 9 restaurants were represented. The samples were tiny, which I guess was to be expected. No booths, other than alcohol, were there to sell drinks, like juice or sodas. At $35 a head we will definitely not be doing it again.

The line were extremely long, no one to explain the lines & to tell us to go get a wristband - first , then back in line to get a very small sample. But wait - you didn’t tank the card because nobody told you you needed it at every tent for samples! We were told it was just for voting! No one could explain how the judging worked. The entertainment-music was not playing, because of the stupid food truck table was there! None of the volunteers seemed to understand the process for voting. There was definitely some good sheet crab soup, but I would not go to that disappointment just to taste him again.

First time to this festival and I thought it was well organized and lots of fun. Did not feel overly crowded and the lines to the different restaurants moved right along. At first thought having only a small taste of soup would not be enough, but having 10 samples, along with time for beverages was plenty. Delightful hour or two.

Tasted 9 different versions of She Crab Soup & loved each one! Fun outdoor event with music, games and pic ops..... made friends while in short lines, everyone was having a great time! Looking forward to next year ;P

I thought it was well run and lots of fun. The lines moved quickly and the soup was good. Great job by all the judges and the staff.

If this were to review the restaurants showcased or the soups sampled the review would be a glowing 5, the event however ranks deep in the negative zone, as the entire event conssisted of one big crowded line, not a fun or relaxing way to spend an afternoon at all, will not be returning to that event

900 people in that small park is 800 too many. The restaurants were great for showing up and allowing a sampling of their soups. Thanks to all of them. However, being so up-close-and -personal with 899 other people was not fun. You literally couldn't move. Unless this event is moved to a larger venue where people can relax and move about ... I won't be back.

Had a good time, good variety of taste for the she-crab soup. Too many people in a small area though at the middle of the event. Would have helped to have volunteers with end of line signs held high to get to the right line. Could also have used more than 1 bar for drinks, long lines at times. Overall fun, would try it again with a few improvements.
