About

The Eagles possess one of the most storied careers in all of music. The California group, formed in 1971, have sold more than 200 million albums globally with six releases reaching No. 1 on the Billboard 200 through their final studio album, Long Road Out of Eden (2007). The band also holds the record for best-selling album in the United States with the 1976 compilation Their Greatest Hits 1971-1977 certified 38-times platinum. Their immediate follow-up Hotel California, released later that year, ranks third on the U.S. all-time best-seller list at 26-times platinum. The Eagles made an instantaneous imprint on rock music with their indelible 1972 debut single “Take It Easy,” and over the years released five No. 1 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 including “Best of My Love,” “Hotel California” and “Heartache Tonight.” The band earned six Grammys throughout their career, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. Founded by Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, Glenn Frey and Randy Meisner, the Eagles have forged ahead as a live outfit featuring Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill and Deacon Frey.

    Absolutely THE BEST SHOW EVER!

by Debbie on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

I have seen the Eagles perform many times over the last 52 years and have never been disappointed, but knowing that these concerts are some of the last is certainly bittersweet. Yet, in playing hit after hit, never missing a note, we were all transformed back into our younger selves 52 years ago. I love live music and the Eagles are the epitome of a live show. If you have a chance to catch them on this last tour, you will not be disappointed and you'll have memories to last a lifetime.

    Great Show

by Charles on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

Great experience. Had seats 10 rows back sitting center stage felt like I was part of the show on stage with them

I really hope this is not goodbye!

by MK McDonough on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

Oh my goodness! The harmonies! Great music and great time! One of the best shows ever, and I really hope this is NOT a goodbye (even though it is said to be a LOOONGGG Goodbye)! Wonderful to hear the group, such a great show! Thanks to Deacon and Vince for being part of the group! Deacon would do his father proud! Steely Dan was not the opening, because of a family medical emergency, but Vince Gill did an awesome job to be the opening act, and then went on to play the whole show with the Eagles! Such a velvet voice! And the Eagles..no words can express what a treasure they are! Thank you for not only playing Eagles hits, but also Don's hit in memory of Jimmy Buffet as well as Joe Walsh showing what a magician he is on the guitar with his hits! Thanks for a great evening - I hope this really is not goodbye!

A bittersweet yet spectacular concert! 5stars plus!

by LM on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

I've seen The Eagles 5 times over the years and Don Henley solo once. They have never disappointed me and this Long Goodbye show in Charlotte was no exception. What a gift they have given the world all these years! I feel both privileged & sad. They have earned their retirement & I respect their need to live their lives but I will surely miss seeing them. If they happen to add shows from time to time, I'd be willing to travel to see them and so should anyone who wants to experience the best of the best!

    Eagles concert in Charlotte NC

by River girl on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

The concert was fantastic. The energy level was over the top for the entire show, those guys never slowed down. I would love to see them in a smaller venue.

    Another excellent show but....

    by G W on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

This show was great as expected, with performances of my favorite Eagles songs of all time. Opening with Seven Bridges Road was perfect. But this show did not measure up to earlier Eagles concerts. This was the 13th time that I have seen them, and during this event, one could tell that these guys are at the end of the road. They were old and tired. That said, it was still a special event and my wife and I enjoyed it tremendously.

    Awesome Show!

by Phoebe on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

This was the second time I saw "The Long Goodbye"show, both times in Charlotte. The Eagles are still as good as they were when I first fell in love with their music in the 70s and 80s. Their instrument talent and vocal abilities are so strong. The Eagles give the best in concert of the other artists I have seen.

    Amazing Show

    by EAGLES#1Fan on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

The show was absolutely amazing. The band sounds as good as ever. Unfortunately, Steely Dan couldn't make it but Vince Gill stepped up and entertained everyone for an hour prior to coming back out with The Eagles - true performer. The Charlotte Spectrum Center was a very good venue. We had a great time and will always be on the lookout for their Long Goodbye to take a little longer and we can see them again.

    Eagles specific restrictions!

by PumpkinLady on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

I never could find the Eagles specific restrictions. Last time I took my camera that met Spectrum Center specs but not the Eagles. This time nothing was said about not taking pictures or videos. I probably could have taken my real camera and had better photos. Even a note to say there are no longer Eagles specific restrictions. I tried both with Ticket Master and Spectrum Center and general Google. Very frustrating. I would have loved to had my Nikon.

    Amazing Night!!

by Cloey on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

This was my 2nd time seeing them on this tour…and I was NOT disappointed!! Not that I had any reason to believe I would be beforehand! 🤣 They were AMAZING! Joe Walsh absolutely blew us away with his performance on the guitar this time compared back to November in ATL, although, I’m sure it’s different at each show….BUT MY GOD!! He absolutely ROCKED it out on that stage Saturday night!! LEGENDARY!! 🎸🤘🏼 We were also beside ourselves and so very thankful that Vince Gill was able to open for them last moments notice. And for it to be an acoustic set!? WOW!! JUST WOW!! ❤️❤️

    Amazing as usual

by NC Eagles fan on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

I see the Eagles every time they play Charlotte and it never gets old. They’re amazing. I know this is supposed to be the last time they play here, but one can hope. Deacon Frye is the spitting image of his daddy, he sounds like him and plays like him. Somewhere up there, Glenn Frye is watching his son ever so proudly.

    Incredible

by DG on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

The concert was incredible! Best concert we have attended. Sound was fabulous, the vocals were spot on. Entire performance from Vince Gill opening in place of Steely Dan to the very last note of the Eagles performance was simply outstanding. Performance was tight, each member of the group had an opportunity to shine and shine they did. Graphics in the background added to the ambiance of each song. Took me back in time to simpler days. Caught a few tears in my eyes as the show ended. So thankful we were able to experience the show. THANK YOU EAGLES for 'Taking it to the limit one more time!'

    Never gets old

by Charles on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

I have seen them probably 20 times and it never gets old. Seen the long Goodbye show 6 times already. I wish they would film it and then sell it when they are done with it. I would watch it all the time. Charge $100 on Amazon to own it. Why not once it is over ?

The best concert I have seen in a long while

by Beverly on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

    WOW!

by gwlw on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

They were so good and I had the best seat for this venue! Joe Walsh is still amazing on electric guitar and the close instrumental as well as vocal harmonies were still very, very good. It was good to see Vince Gill as a part of the Eagle "family". The only disappointment was that Steely Dan was not able to be there. Vince Gill did a great job as a last minute backup in a very tight situation. The Eagles will always be a fond memory from my past and I hope they continue in the future!

    Worth every penny

by Michelle S on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

Although I was saddened that Steely Dan was unable to open for the Eagles, Vince Gill was gracious enough to fill in at the last moment and did a great job. I have been wanting to see the Eagles since high school but could never afford a ticket. It was well worth the wait. I wish they had done New York Minute, that's my only complaint.

Way better than I had even hoped for . . .

by Russ on 3/19/24Spectrum Center - Charlotte

I was not necessarily a big fan of The Eagles but was compelled to go since they are good and this is apparently their farewell tour. It turned out being much better than expected. Glenn Frey's son was awesome, and the band was collectively really good too, but the thing that unexpectedly transformed the concert from a rendition of pop/top 40 hits to a really cool concert was the band's apparent agreement to let Joe Walsh go wild, and he did, and it was great. Imho, Joe Walsh's songs and elongated guitar solos/highlighted portions pulled this show off the charts and into a great rock concert. Don't get me wrong, the top 40 songs were good, and done extremely well by the entire band, but Joe Walsh changed the dynamic significantly. I do wish Don Henley would have sung more songs, including some of his own and particularly The Eagle's "Last Resort", which I always considered one of The Eagle's best songs, but that didn't happen. And while I thought Vince Gill did a great job doing the vocals on some of the songs Don Henley had sung, I really wanted to hear Don Henley. But again, the concert collectively ended up being great all around and I'd recommend that you go for sure !
