The best night of rock n roll for your 2016 is kindly announced......courtesy of your party starters supreme and ministers of all musical mayhem EAGLES OF DEATH METAL. The divine sound of live rock and roll made as God intended.
Balls-out, ass-shakin’, soul scratchin’, boot scootin’, neck lickin’, freewheeling just-for-the-hell-of-it raw, sleazy, dirty, sexy, groovy, good time, joyful, smile on your face pure unadulterated, psychedelic, blues and Rock. And. Glorious. Roll.
Eagles Of Death Metal was formed in 1998 in Palm Desert, California by best friends Jesse Hughes and Joshua Homme (who also founded Queens Of The Stone Age). EODM have just released their fourth album Zipper Down, their first new studio release since 2008.
This will be EODM’s first NZ headline show since they blew the roof off the St James in 2007.
“…. genius, hilarious and brilliant. Such words don't even begin to describe Jesse 'Devil' Hughes and the Eagles of Death Metal, but they're about as close as one can come, when left reeling from a night of outrageous rock 'n' roll magic.” (New Zealand Herald)
Despite their band name, EODM (Eagles Of Death Metal) is not a death metal band. The story goes that a friend was introducing Joshua Homme to the death metal genre, and Homme wondered what a cross between the Eagles and a death metal band would sound like. With that EODM was born and has never looked back, flying ever upwards and hell bent on good times. The band released Peace Love Death Metal in 2004, followed by Death By Sexy in 2006, and Heart On in 2008.
EODM are known and loved by fans for simultaneously owning and mocking the overtly stylised image of Rockstars, all the while (Homme) describes their sound as a combination of "bluegrass slide guitar mixed with stripper drum beats and Canned Heat vocals".
“I came up with a great analogy for what the music is. It's bending George Clinton over a couch and butt-fucking him using Little Richard as the dick and the Rolling Stones and Chuck Berry as the balls” (Hughes).
Joining front man and guitarist Jesse Hughes on the road on guitars is Eden Galindo and Dave Catching, Matt McJunkins on bass and Julian Dorio on drums.
More hook laden than your old job at the bait shop and with a stage presence akin to sexual dynamite Eagles of Death Metal are an eargasm of glorious groove. A fivesome of parallel universe Rock n Roll Superstars.
“The new album Zipper Down really represents to me an attitude and philosophy of life,” says Hughes. “One should not zipper up, they should zipper down and let it all hang out.”

Second time I've seen them live and they are amazing!! Took my song requests!!
2 Hours of EODM. A Great band and a great show!!!!!
absolutely fantastic show. eodm never disappoints.. however the house of blues is the worst venue in dallas. too expensive, inconvenient location, most hard ass awful security that looks like they're itching for a fight and to top it off after standing for three to four hours you get to exit the building by walking up two flights of stairs. come on, hob. just turn into planet Hollywood and be a restaurant.
I've seen them several times and they never disappoint!
Fun show, everyone looked like they were having a genuinely good time. Good vibe, the guys worked the crowd.
Never been to the Chameleon club but there was a parking garage directly across the street. It looked like a hole in the wall and it was but it ended up being a great place.Small but that is a plus. The Eagles of Death Metal kicked a=÷! Jesse Hughes is a great front man and you can tell he loves rock and roll and the opportunity to play it.He seemed very grateful to be there and loved the crowd. The whole band was great and sounded really good. The show was FUN! Worth every penny. If I didn't have to work the next night I would have went to the show in Md.
Couldn't wait to see Eagles of Death Metal with Josh again seems like so long ! Show was nonstop one song after another with Jesse cracking jokes and being the showman he is. Wish I could of seen more due to the horrible lay out of the venue! Josh was amazing on drums ,in fact everyone played just like the album!
Awesome show, great musicians, tons of energy, very engaged with the audience. They had us jumping on our feet. If I could have gone two nights in a row I would have. Have yet to see a bad EODM show - always entertaining and a good time.
Not a dull moment at this show where rock and roll prevailed! I was blown away not only by the volume but the solid musicianship of these guys! I wish I were them! I'm ready to quit my job, leave my family and hit the road behind them!
The show was amazing! They played great & interacted with the crowd much of the show. I'll never miss an opportunity to see them again!
These guys rocked. I made the trip from Cleveland to Detroit because I'll be out of town for the Cleveland show. Do not miss them. Best show I've been to in about 15 years. Amazing energy, great tunes and great crowd interaction.
This event was sold out. Probably because Josh is a member of this band. A prominent member. Of course, he wasn't there. There was a stand-in, and just the other singer, Jesse Hughes. Jesse was OK. But there was no Josh to hit the high notes. The concert went on for too long, too, with two guitar solos, then a bass solo. We finally left. Won't be attending anymore EODM concerts, or buying any of their CDs. Note that the promos for their tour included pics of BOTH prominent band members. Bullcrap.
This show was fantastic.Webster Hall is a great venue for this type of band.Jesse Hughes is funny, charasmatic, and all around good show man.The band is tight and completely on point.
i had a lot of fun at this show. eagles of death metal is always an entertaining band.
What a great venue and a great way for Eagles of Death Metal to end their tour. Ramshead Live in Baltimore is an intimate venue where you can smell the sweat of the performers up on stage no matter where you stand. And last night's show featured pleanty of sweat. Eagles of Death Metal blazed their way on stage and proceeded to prance and grunt and shake their money makers for a solid hour and a half for all they were worth. After a short intermission, they retook the stage and spent the next half hour to forty-five minutes blowing the doors off the place. They came to Baltimore to do one thing: Rock with a capital R. And they did just that. Peace. Love. Death Metal. What more needs to be said?
unbelieavable show, first band was NOT my style, tight but, mediocre. EODM came out and was amazing .... all i can say!
I loved this performance. The lead singer is true rocker. He kept the crowd going from start to finish. I can't wait to see them again.
WOOO this show was great the eagles of death metal RULE! Long live ROCK N ROOLLL!!
The Band was having a great time playing and the crowd was into them!! Fun show!!
