About

Alternative rock/metal band Drowning Pool rocked countless fans at the 2001 Ozzfest Tour, helping propel their debut album Sinner to platinum status in just six weeks. That good news shortly turned tragic following the death of lead singer Dave Williams, but the ever-resilient Drowning Pool has continued to sell tickets under a revolving list of singers, including Jason Jones (2003-2005), Ryan McCombs (2005-2011) and Jasen Moreno (2011-Present). The band is considered one of the best metal bands in concert and have played on multiple Ozzfest Tours. They released their fifth studio album, "Resilience," with new singer Moreno in 2013. "Resilience" features "In Memory Of..." dedicated to the late singer Williams and released on the 10th anniversary of his death, as well as "Saturday Night" and "One Finger and a Fist," which both will be popular at upcoming shows.

Drowning Pool formed in Dallas, Texas, in the second half of the 1990s with guitarist C.J. Pierce, bassist Stevie Benton and drummer Mike Luce. After releasing the platinum-selling "Sinner," Drowning Pool recorded one album with Jason Jones ("Desensitized") before doing two recordings ("Full Circle" and "Drowning Pool") with McCombs. After McCombs decided to rejoin SOiL (who he previously recorded and played with), Drowning Pool connected with Moreno, who joined the band on the road and in-studio in New Jersey for the recording of "Resilience." Drowning Pool is a band that continues to overcome incredible and sometimes horrific obstacles, such as the death of singer Dave Williams; yet they continue to trend forward and serve as one of modern rock's best live acts.

    Drowning Pool Stole The Show

    by ElectricFuneral65 on 9/11/17Wellmont Theatre - Montclair

The Make America Rock Again tour was very good. The headliner was Scott Stapp of Creed. He was pretty good with a little bit of energy.Sick Puppies and Trapt were also good, however Drowning Pool Stole The Show. They had energy and had the crowd into every song. They are much more then the band that plays the 'Bodies' song. I highly recommend seeing Drowning Pool if they come to your area.

    I'm beyond mad at this

by Dustanator on 9/23/16iWireless Center - Moline

I'm very disappointed in this show because I was told that 12 Stones would be there numerous times and they weren't even on the set once I arrived there. I drove 7 hours for this show and was highly outraged when I heard word. Also I paid for the eat and greet and they served us really bad pizza and not all of the bands even showed up for the eat and greet. If I could get my refund back, I would

    Drowning Pool was AMAZING!

by LiyahsMommy on 9/16/16iWireless Center - Moline

The entire show ROCKED, starting with Tantric and ending with Drowning Pool. Saving Abel has an amazing stage presence as well, and most of the bands came down into the general area and just hung out after their sets! Just AMAZING!

    Very disappointing

by ThatOtherChick on 9/14/16iWireless Center - Moline

Wasn't there for Crazytown simply because they were a one hit wonder. Got there for The Zealots - SO HAPPY THEY WERE ADDED TO THE ROSTER! They put on a great show! Alien Ant Farm - Eh, wasn't much of a big fan of them 10 years ago so can't say too much about them. Their stage performance was okay. Trapt - Didn't enjoy them either, spent most of that time out on the deck after 2 songs to eat some vendor food. Saliva - Best performers of the night! Sound was great! Drowning Pool - All Jason Moreno did was talk. Even at the end when he told what crowd was there that they were running out of time and we had to choose which song we wanted them to sing, he still kept talking. They still played the two songs anyways so again, dude talked way too much.

    Great show

by EazyErock on 9/13/16iWireless Center - Moline

Great concert. It rocked. Couldn't believe how empty it was in the arena. My dislikes is I bought 12 tickets seats close to stage. But the ushers/security wouldn't allow us to go down to the floor pit part. Even though it was so empty. I'm sure the bands would like a bigger crowd. But oh well. The concert itself was very awesome. And the price was nice. Also the sound was kinda staticky towards end. Kids got to meet Crazytown lead singer. But we thought they sucked. The rapper couldn't understand at all. And I love all music

Great show for a low cost. Every band played for roughly a half hour. Saving Abel and Saliva were the 2 most entertaining bands! Although The Zealots put on an amazing show as well. Definitely worth the time and money!

Sound quality unbalanced, sets should have been longer, and stop ripping people off on food and drinks!!!!

    Poor planning

    by Kart13 on 9/13/16iWireless Center - Moline

Wish bands could have played more than 4-5 songs each. If you have that many good bands, start the show like around noon or so. Glad I only paid $15 per ticket!

    Meh

Disappointing shown. BorING stage. Saliva was really good UT the other banD's where terrible. Was looking foward to trapt but they aren't good live. Drowning pool was a let down. The lead singer doesn't rrally fit the roll.. One awesome part was a local band the zealots they where great and honestly held there own with the big name bands!

Make America Rock Again was a lot of fun. The tickets were priced well for the bands and the amount of time playing. It was very long though for it not to be a festival. It was about 6 hours long. My husband and I ended up leaving early because of being too tired.

by Anonymous on 9/13/16iWireless Center - Moline

6 hours of music, very short set changes and bands came onto floor after to greet fans and usually kept coming back to floor several times. They all acted like they wanted to be there. Great night

    Spectacular show!

by Anonymous on 8/17/16Chene Park - Detroit

We had a blast. It wasn't too crowded, and the bands were amazing. It was so much fun reliving my musical past and seeing how great the bands were to the fans. Although the bathroom situation is rough at Chene, the view was beautiful and all of the staff were wonderful. Would happily relive this experience!

    Awesome!

by Anonymous on 8/17/16Chene Park - Detroit

Had a great time. Awesome show. I was surprised the turnout was so low. This seemed like an amazing group of bands. I remember listening to most of them in the early 2000s in highschool. Saliva and Drowning Pool really kicked ass. The venue was great too. Decent price for drinks.

Great sound and interaction with the crowd/fans. The smoke Effects where phenomenal, with getting the crowd fired up. YOU ROCKED DROWNING POOL\m/\m/

Small, very disappointing crowd. Security was non-existent except for one person who apparently did not have permission to toss the drunks that spoiled the Drowning Pool set. On the other hand, everyone up to Drowning Pool were fantastic and got the energy going. Full Devil Jacket set was cut short, which was a damn shame as they ROCKED!!! Drowning Pool had a much more difficult time getting the small crowd into it. I'm glad I went but The County Line had better step up their game.

Awesome shows. Never a dull moment. Would like to see more shows there whether it's a small or large venue.
