Dropkick Murphys proudly remain Boston's rock 'n' roll underdogs turned champions. Since 1996, the boys have created the kind of music that's meant to be chanted at last call, in packed arenas, and during the fourth quarter, third period, or ninth inning of a comeback rally. Their celebrated discography includes four consecutive Billboard top 10 album debuts (2021's Turn Up That Dial, 11 Short Stories Of Pain & Glory, Signed and Sealed in Blood, Going Out In Style), along with 2005's gold-selling The Warrior's Code featuring the near double platinum classic "I'm Shipping Up To Boston." Whether you caught a legendary gig at The Rathskeller (The Rat) under Kenmore Square, found the band by taking the T to Newbury Comics to cop Do Or Die in '98, discovered them in Martin Scorsese's Academy Award-winning The Departed, or saw 'em throw down at Coachella (or one of hundreds of other festivals), you've become a part of their extended family. Dropkick Murphys' music has generated half-a-billion streams, they've quietly moved 8 million-plus units worldwide and the band has sold out gigs on multiple continents. In 2020, the band was one of the first to embrace streaming performances, starting with their Streaming Up From Boston St. Patrick's Day virtual performance. It was followed by last year's landmark Streaming Outta Fenway livestream, which drew more than 5.9 million viewers and held the #3 spot on Pollstar's "Top 2020 Livestreams" chart. Dropkick Murphys St. Patrick's Day Stream 2021...Still Locked Down, was #1 on Pollstar's Livestream chart for the week ending March 22, 2021, logging over 1 million views. Dropkick Murphys return September 30 with their first-ever all-acoustic album, This Machine Still Kills Fascists (Dummy Luck Music / [PIAS]), followed by their first-ever seated theater tour kicking off in late October. This Machine Still Kills Fascists breathes musical life into mostly unpublished lyrics by the legendary Woody Guthrie, curated for the band by Woody's daughter Nora Guthrie.
Brilliant, Loud, and always a party. Those who have never seen the Murphys, need to! GREAT SHOW~!
The show was awesome, as always. The Fox is quickly becoming my favorite venue in the bay area and to see great bands like DKM makes it even better. My only complaint was that Dropkick played "sunshine Highway" and didnt play "John Law", other than that it was a perfect evening as far as DKM goes. I didnt like "youth brigade" fruitcakes spouting off their political views, I came for a punk show, not an obama support rally. I dont care what their political views are, I dont want to hear it.
high energy. crowd oriented, very in touch with their fans. they need to play on in northern california more often. great music
I love these guys, I had a blast. Great performers, tons of energy, even the fans were nice!
Dropkick has a kickass fun amazing cool energy on stage, and with tons of nice, happy, crazy people - it just can not go wrong. Tie your shoelaces and get ready for the pit!
If you're thinking of going to see Dropkick Murphys, stop thinking and go!
This was the best concert I've ever been to. Everyone should go. Awesome experience and great people.
Irish trad made modern punk\bar band gives traditional style music a fresh feel and a great beat..
The Dropkick Murphys were great!! They really know how to put on a show and the whole crowd is into it! I will definately go again.
THEY CAME OUT SCORCHING THE STAGE WITH ''DO OR DIE''..... A 12 YEAR OLD RALLY CRY FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS THAT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE APPROPRIATE DURING THESE TOUGH ECONOMIC TIMES..... THEY PAYED TRIBUTE TO OUR MILITARY FAMILIES WITH MORE ''OLDIES'' SUCH AS ''THE LEGEND OF FINN MacCUMHAIL'' , ''FAR AWAY COAST'' ,''CITIZEN C.I.A.''..... AND MIXED IT UP WITH ''THE WORKER'S SONG'', ''BURIED ALIVE'' AND, OF COURSE, ''BOYS ON THE DOCK''.... TOO MANY EXCELLENT SONGS TO LIST HERE....TOUGH TIMES FOR THE BLUE COLLAR FAMILY NEVER SOUNDED SO GOOD!!!
The show was as always fantastic!!! The Band interacts so well with fans. Can't wait to see them again
It was one of the best shows I have ever seen in my life. The only drawback that my wife and I had was the fact that the venue was without any type of seating. therefore we were standing for over 5 hours during the show.
All i can say is that it was as sick as always! Oh ya, if you dont know who these guys are yet def have to check them out.
Really good...I might say that it was better than the one in New York last year...But I like Badlands cover better than The Who's
DKM ALWAYS puts on an awesome show! I see them every St. Patrick's Day in Boston and no matter what, their show is the best! GREAT music - the crowd is always singing along and having a great time. They never disappointment! One of the best Irish punk bands out there! They should have been the headline group. Offspring put on a great show too! LOTS of great songs. The majority of people were there to see DKM :) :)
Great Show. Nice variety in the set list. Some old songs and new ones too. Great live sound. Really enjoyed it.
This the best concert I 've seen since 1980--when THE CLASH opened for ELVIS COSTELLO!!!!! Just a spot on raucous rock n roll show! More energy in that venue than THREE MILE ISLAND!! GO SEE EM AS SOON AS YOU CAN. I MUST ALSO SAY THAT THIS IS THE ONLY CONCERT I'VE EVER SEEN(Im 50 yrs young)that invited the audience on stage to sing & dancxe with their performance. Talk about connecting with your fans. The DropKick Murphy's the peoples band. They even played a slow song!
DKM ploughed through 1 1/2 hours pretty much non-stop. Playing new songs and fan favorites. Still inviting the gals and guys on stage to sing along. Ches-a-rena leaves much to be desired, as they don't have a liquor license, but they still wanted to sell beer. If you attend a show there expect to pay $20 more once you get there if you want food & drink, but then you have to stand in a cage toward the back of the floor. So, you'll have to pick between dancing or drinking.
The Dropkick Murphys are the best Irish punk band from the states. They put on a hell of a show. There is so much energy and excitement that the band sends the crowds into a frenzy reguardless if the fans are in the pit or not. The mix of older favorites of the fans and traditional Irish songs DKM does keeps the crowd singing and dancing for the whole time.
Dropkick was awesome - great openers and their show was high energy like always... The only complaint i have is that Cheswick Arena was a horrible venue. It was way to hot in there, and especially for a punk concert where everyone is going nuts. The sound wasnt the best. Though it was funny that they had a concert like this in a roller rink...
