About

Drew Lynch On Tour

“A comedian with a stutter” is how Drew Lynch describes himself on his popular YouTube channel, and that description is certainly accurate. But it’s also misleading, because Lynch is so much more.

His weekly videos feature the affable, earnest Lynch monologuing alongside his ever-patient service dog Stella, or Lynch and Stella rendered in colorful animation for their recurring “Therapy Dog” segments, or Lynch performing stand-up at clubs around the U.S. They regularly rack up tens of thousands of views, winning him legions of fans around the world.

More than making people laugh (the job description of every comedian ever), Lynch’s mission is unique. Yes, he’s a comedian with a stutter, and he often makes his condition the punchline of his jokes. But whether in his videos, on stage, or acting in film and TV, Lynch applies his comedic gifts to dispel stereotypes and convey a message of perseverance, open-mindedness, and positivity.

Lynch didn’t originally set out to inspire anyone — or to be a stand-up comedian, for that matter. Relying on his boyish good looks and stutter-free charisma, he left his native Indianapolis to attend performing-arts high school in Las Vegas and, after graduating, moved to Los Angeles with aspirations of becoming an actor.

While hustling for acting gigs in 2011, he was derailed by a freak sports accident. Fielding grounders for the Flappers Comedy Club softball team, he took a couple balls to the head and throat and woke up with a speech impediment that still afflicts him. Stand-up comedy provided release, as well as an eager audience.

But his biggest break came in 2015, when he came in second place in the 10th season of America’s Got Talent, receiving the rare and prestigious Golden Buzzer courtesy of fellow comedian Howie Mandel. Since then, Lynch has made his condition both a cornerstone and a sideshow of his comedy routines, establishing himself (and a prodigious YouTube presence) and taking his show across the U.S. and Canada.

    Great Show!!!

by TY on 2/21/22Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

Drew and the opener were amazing!!! The Majestic however is very uncomfortable. I feel it's possible to update seating while keeping the historic feel.

    Like Tennis

by SAN ANTONIO on 2/21/22Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

He was funny enough but he paced from side to side the entire show which was quite annoying like at a Tennis match and he had really long pauses in between jokes. He's really funny I just felt like there should have been a lot more jokes

    Amazing dude!

by Atti2de on 2/21/22Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

Funny as always. We’ve been following Drew’s comedy for a while. What I didn’t expect was for him to stay close to 2 hours after the show to meet everyone who wanted to take pictures with him. Very humble guy who cares about his fans.

    Excellent show, tiny seats

by Ameera on 1/24/22The Wilbur - Boston

Drew Lynch was hilarious and definitely gave everyone an experience to remember. His show was worth waiting for with two cancelations thru Covid. The venue was gorgeous with an intimate feel to the stage in all areas. The down side is the seating was hard to maneuver around, they were small bar stools tightly packed in rows. If your seat is at the end of a row you will be locked in until the end of the show. No way to pass by the rest of the row in front or behind them. No elevator to the balcony seats so be sure you get floor seats if you have any issues climbing stairs. I specifically got floor seats for that reason, but any attempt to meet the talent in the vestibule requires being able to climb stairs to wait in line. I am not able to do so and there wasn't a communicated way from security for a handicapped option. It took some serious self advocating and disobeying wicked loud requests from security. Speak up, stay respectful and security will work with you.

    Changed vaccine requirements last minute

by Bummer on 1/24/22The Wilbur - Boston

I couldn't attend this show because the venue changed their vaccine requirements less than a week before, and I couldn't get any kind of refund or exchange. I specifically got these tickets because only masks and social distancing were required. They also changed my seats to the top of the balcony, when I paid extra for seats closer to the stage because I'm 8 months pregnant and there are no elevators. Needless to say I'm very disappointed. No accommodations at all.

    Awesome night out!

by Rae on 1/24/22The Wilbur - Boston

We waited 2 years for this night and it DID NOT disappoint! Drew was fantastic, his opener was too. He took time to meet everyone after the show. Just a genuine guy. We were very impressed with how the Wilbur handled the event.

    Highly recommend!

Drew's show was absolutely hilarious. Drove an hour and a half to see him and it was well worth it. Highly enjoyable!

Definitely a night full of laughter, belly laughs and cheeks

by Deanna on 11/11/21Carolina Theatre - Durham

My only complaint is a particular woman who decided to keep blurting out but Drew shut her down in a hurry. I was most impressed with the fact that Drew started to meet and greet, sign shirts and take pictures with all of his fans refreshes of how long it took. I was highly disappointed when all but Stella shirts were sold out because I really washed one for our 17 year old and his girlfriend because they aren’t old enough to attend. I’m still emailing any contact I can to try to secure him a shirt with no luck as of yet. Recently priced tickets and decent seats considering I waited until 2 days before to purchase them. Ask I can say is Drew Lynch is truly a class act, who not only cares about his fans but makes time for them also. Fame hasn’t give to his head and there’s something to be said about humility. I look forward to the opportunity to see Drew live again!

    Drew does not disappoint

by JAH on 11/10/21Carolina Theatre - Durham

Overall it was a great show. There were a few people in the crowd that were incredibly obnoxious, and I felt the ushers should have shut that down. Drew had some really controversial bits, which were funny (several people left the theater) but very unlike him in past shows I've seen. So I'm not sure why he's going that route.

    Probably Wouldn’t Do It Again

by Lewie on 11/9/21The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

I’ve been watching Drew Lynch videos for a few years and when I heard he was coming to the Charleston Music Hall I knew I had to get tickets - and front row tickets at that - for my partner and me. We’d been looking forward to it for months and I’m sorry to say we were disappointed in the show. Drew seemed angry when he first came out for his portion of the show, did A LOT of pacing without speaking, and some (most) of the ‘jokes’ fell flat. We enjoy going to the Charleston Music Hall and think it’s a great venue - we just won’t be coming back to see Drew Lynch there.

    Pacing madness

by Bob on 11/9/21The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

The opening “act” was a precursor to the evening. The fact that the young woman could say unimaginative four letter words often did not make her funny. Drew paced manically back and forth across the stage during his entire performance. Just when he was on the verge of something funny, he found a way to destroy the moment. His forays into politically sensitive areas also bombed. There are and always have been blue comedians who could be clever and imaginative at the same time that they walked the thin line between tasteful and tasteless. He was much funnier when he was on his talent show run on tv.

    Charleston Music Hall

by K on 11/9/21The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Drew Lynch is one of the funniest comedians I’ve ever seen. He was also kind enough to meet everyone in the lobby. Overall amazing experience

    Drew lynch

by Robyn on 11/9/21The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Show was decent. He gets a little raunchy which is unnecessary. He is funny otherwise. The girl before him was awful. She wasn’t funny and just down right nasty Charleston music hall Néw policies are ridiculous. You stand in line with id and covid card yet no one had on mask. This does nothing to prevent the spread of covid and is a ridiculous policy. Then you go into the theatre to get body checked and are wanded but they don’t check your big purse you have offered for them to check. The most ridiculous policies that accomplish nothing.

    Opener not great

    by K123 on 8/25/21Barrymore Theatre - Madison

Drew was amazing! His opener made me really uncomfortable though. There’s an appropriate/good way to make a joke about your trauma, and that just wasn’t it. It was more “here’s my trauma now laugh”. It was very intense for me as someone who’s been a victim of an assault

    Awesome show

by Jen on 8/25/21Barrymore Theatre - Madison

Drew was amazing. Brought some laughs that were well over due. Drew is also a “Real” person, down to earth and very true to his fans.
