About

Drew Lynch On Tour

“A comedian with a stutter” is how Drew Lynch describes himself on his popular YouTube channel, and that description is certainly accurate. But it’s also misleading, because Lynch is so much more.

His weekly videos feature the affable, earnest Lynch monologuing alongside his ever-patient service dog Stella, or Lynch and Stella rendered in colorful animation for their recurring “Therapy Dog” segments, or Lynch performing stand-up at clubs around the U.S. They regularly rack up tens of thousands of views, winning him legions of fans around the world.

More than making people laugh (the job description of every comedian ever), Lynch’s mission is unique. Yes, he’s a comedian with a stutter, and he often makes his condition the punchline of his jokes. But whether in his videos, on stage, or acting in film and TV, Lynch applies his comedic gifts to dispel stereotypes and convey a message of perseverance, open-mindedness, and positivity.

Lynch didn’t originally set out to inspire anyone — or to be a stand-up comedian, for that matter. Relying on his boyish good looks and stutter-free charisma, he left his native Indianapolis to attend performing-arts high school in Las Vegas and, after graduating, moved to Los Angeles with aspirations of becoming an actor.

While hustling for acting gigs in 2011, he was derailed by a freak sports accident. Fielding grounders for the Flappers Comedy Club softball team, he took a couple balls to the head and throat and woke up with a speech impediment that still afflicts him. Stand-up comedy provided release, as well as an eager audience.

But his biggest break came in 2015, when he came in second place in the 10th season of America’s Got Talent, receiving the rare and prestigious Golden Buzzer courtesy of fellow comedian Howie Mandel. Since then, Lynch has made his condition both a cornerstone and a sideshow of his comedy routines, establishing himself (and a prodigious YouTube presence) and taking his show across the U.S. and Canada.

  • Amazing and hilarious

    by Kathy (BOD) on 12/4/22Rialto Theatre-Tucson - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

We loved the show. We tried to stay afterward to get a picture but had to work at 3am. He was a gracious performer and stayed to meet anyone who wanted. Thank you for making me laugh so hard I needed to wear a diaper lol.

  • 10/10

    by XKoenigX on 12/4/22Rialto Theatre-Tucson - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

Drew is as humble as he is hilarious. I’ve been a long time fan and finally got to see him live and meet him after. It was everything I hoped it would be and more! Will definitely be going to see him again!

  • Not polished yet

by Philippe on 10/15/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 3 out of 5

Great on YouTube since those are extract of the best moments, although he needs to be more polished for such a large venue. Stick to the script more than in a small comedy club.

  • I love Drew Lynch, but the venue was TERRIBLE

by Disappointed Fan on 10/11/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 2 out of 5

We have seen Drew Lynch before, and we love his shows. The problem here was the venue. The workers were great, the service was spectacular, however the experience of the show was terrible to say the least. The acoustics were horrendous, and I think I was actually able to hear and understand about 10% of the material. That's probably a bit generous. Extremely disappointing is an understatement. The 2 stars is not a rating of Drew, it's a rating of the experience. As a matter of fact, it's because of Drew that I rated 2 stars instead of zero stars. I hope Balboa Theater reads this and takes action. There were 6 people in my party and none of us will EVER go back to that venue.

  • Outstanding Stand Up

    by Holderemus211 on 10/5/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

I'm 43 years old and just saw Drew as my very first stand up comedic act. I've followed Drew for a long time, ever since his time on AGT. His free comedy special on YouTube was pretty good, but, his live act in San Diego was amazing! His content is mostly on modern issues, which we all can relate to. The one thing about Drew that I think is unmatched, is his ability to improv on the spot. There were several crowd hecklers that Drew flawlessly interacted with which just testified to my belief. I waited forever for Drew to come to California. The fact he finally did, and wasn't far away, made seeing one of my favorite comics in life a reality. Thanks Drew...."you killed it bro!" *California voice + 🤙*

  • Comedian was great, but sound system was terrible!

by Jesse on 10/3/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 3 out of 5

It was extremely difficult to hear the performers through the night. We missed a lot of jokes. Not a great experience. Loved the jokes we heard though.

  • Love Drew, wrong Venue

by MichaelSD on 10/3/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Drew Lunch is a great comedian and his show kept us laughing. The challenge was the sound system at the Balboa theatre. We could understand little of the warm up guy and probably missed a quarter of what Drew said. We were fairly close to the front on one side but had a hard time making out what was said - both loud and muffled. Still highly recommend Drew but may think twice about the venue.

  • I laughed till I cried!

by Momma Bear on 10/3/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Drew Lynch was amazing! He was extremely funny and rolls with the audience and plays off their shout outs. I literally laughed until I cried or couldn’t breathe. It was exactly what I needed. Jared Foster was his opener and he was very funny as well. The venue was perfect. The Balboa theatre is historic and beautiful. Not a bad seat in the house. Getting in and out was easy, the bathrooms were adequate and clean.

  • Funny scripted and unscripted

by Sara on 10/3/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Drew and his opener Justin put on an amazing show! Despite a tipsy crowd, Drew still engaged with audience members turning silly comments into comedic genius. He has great charisma and a natural gift at coming up with comedy on the fly. His laughter is infectious and I love his point of view that comes through subtlety!

  • Unexpected

by TRam on 3/6/22Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 3 out of 5

I was a bit disappointed with how much Drew paces back and forth across the stage. Literally from one corner to another. I was having to constantly be moving my head around the man in front of me to see Drew. A huge part of his show that was the funniest was a bit on an audience members laugh. I think that was all unscripted and it was the funniest. I didn’t care for the abortion bit.

  • Best Show Ever

    by E. B. on 3/3/22Rating: 5 out of 5

Drew was amazing! The show was fantastic! Just like in Drew fashion he played off the crowd. One of my favorite young comedians. He was hilarious. Most definitely will see him again if ever he’s down this way again.

  • Amazing night!

by Paige on 2/25/22Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

He was down to earth, and just loved the crowd, I think he was nervous but who wouldn’t be! Great night

  • My cheeks hurt!

by Reed on 2/23/22Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

By far the best comedy show I've been to! And the fact Drew stayed and signed shirts and net every person after the show, was amazing! I'll definitely go to see him again!

  • Best Show

by Cat on 2/23/22Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

I love Drew and his comedy, his sense of humor is unlike most. I laughed through the whole show.

  • Hysterical

by Amber on 2/23/22Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

He was relevant, current and absolutely hilarious. I laughed so hard I cried.

  • We were excited!!

by Shay Rood on 2/22/22Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 2 out of 5

We were really excited to attend the event. We had watch a lot of his previous work on YouTube. He was definitely not as funny in person. And he ended with some extremely distasteful abortion jokes.

  • Freaking awesome

by Pokemon dude on 2/22/22Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

Drew and his buddy were hilarious, getting to see Drew afterwards and chatting a bit made my year. It was truly an experience. I haven’t laughed that hard in a very long time. Thanks man for an awesome performance. Hope to see you again in San Antonio

  • Awesome show!!

by Mike M on 2/22/22Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

Hilariously funny from start to finish! Justin Foster started the show off brilliantly and had everyone laughing hysterically from the get go! Drew Lynch came out guns blazing and put on an absolute dynamic show! These two gentlemen put a lot of time and hard work into their sets and it really showed! Jokes were amazing and the laughter was nonstop! Highly recommend seeing these two if you get the chance...you will not be disappointed!!
