    Dramarama did not disappoint!

by dknj2013 on 10/28/13The Wonder Bar - Asbury Park

I look forward to this band coming east every year and this particular show blew my friends and I away. You can just tell John Easdale loves what he does. From the sold out crowd to the 2+ hour set list, this show will go down as one of our favorite shows by this band.

    Great band

by JuggBand on 10/28/13The Wonder Bar - Asbury Park

Dramarama is a great band. Like many other people will say, they (John Easesale) is so good, they should be famous - (maybe it's just a bad band name). They played great songs - the Cinema Verite album is awesome, but he also hit some other great songs from other albums. The sound was good at the Wonder Bar. Cool place to see a show.

    Dramarama were exciting as ever!

by Dano621 on 10/24/11The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

I have made it a point to see Dramarama almost everytime they have played in the NJ area. They always put on an excellent show and seem to know exactly what the audience wants to hear out of their immense catalog of great tunes. It is as if they have been practicing steadily for all these years. John Easdale is still the great singer, clown, showman he always was and if I had any say, I would make sure these guys were as famous as they deserve to be. They still keep the rock n roll spirit alive, and for that I am eternally greatful. Oh yeah, the Stone Pony was packed that night, and of course everyone thoroughly enjoyed the show!

    This was pretty average!

by PhebeK on 8/30/104th and B - San Diego

Mostly disappointed that The Motels didn't play very long. I thought they were the primary headliner and they played only about 4-5 songs.....they should have played longer! Also, what was up with the intense Security at 4th and B.....I know they probably need it for some events there, but this was an 80's event and the audience was mostly those in our 40's to 50's....I would think that we are all past the age of acting out!

    Awesome show!

by MariaB on 8/1/10Coach House - Capistrano - San Juan Capistrano

Dramarama put on just as strong a performance as they did in the 80s. Absolutely shredded the guitars and the vocals were perfect. They seemed to have just as great a time on stage as we did in the audience. As expected, everyone went nuts over "Scenario", "Anything, Anything" and "Last Cigarette." John Easdale is still one of the best entertainers I've seen, along with the the rest of the band - who played their hearts out. A really great, fun night.

    Dramarma

by EdTheHead on 12/7/09Coach House - Capistrano - San Juan Capistrano

I haven't heard Dramarama play live in over 14 years and it was like they never left the stage. I forgot what I was missing after all these years. Mr. E's fingers glided over the frets of his guitar with the passion of an artist and the precision of a machine. John Easedale's lyrics were as powerful as ever and his persona was warm and friendly. He welcomed the crowd back and took plenty of time to greet his guests. John's voice was powerful and commanded the show. Peter was extremely tight on "Haven't Got a Clue" and was friendly with the crowd. Every lick the band played sounded like studio engineered quality. Thank you Dave C. for getting us back stage to meet the band!

    Flock of Seagulls

This was a well organized show. I like the sound system and the freedom to move around!

    80's 80's 80's !

by BillMac on 7/19/09House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

Top to bottom review - Anytime you can see When In Rome, do it ! They were great. Gene Loves Jezebel were pretty good. Dramarama is not my favorite, but they are a tight band with good energy. Flock of Seagulls took the easy way out and played a very short set, and not enough hits. decent, but I was disappointed.

    80's flashback

by sammmm1777 on 7/17/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

HOB is a great venue to see any concert #1. Jean loves Jezebel was the first act to hit the stage and they rocked it! I thought it was going to get better with 3 more bands to go, but seems like it went downhill with the consecutive bands. I really like only a couple of songs from each band after that and they all sang some new songs, etc that I wasn't familiar with. Had fun though!

    Flock Of Seagulls

by 80sboys on 7/17/09House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

Annoying Gene Loves Jezebel was an unwelcome surprise lead band- before even the other two bands. They started at about 8pm and played for a rather long time... Flock Of Seagulls didn't even begin until 11:30pm!! They played for about an hour. They played OK, but you could tell the lead singer wasn't into it. Just paying the rent....for 22 years! Worst moment...Flock Of Seagulls played my fav song 'Wishing' at high speed!! It ruined the dreamy nature of the tune. It sounded like what AM radio used to do to songs' play speeds.

    Lost 80s

by Idelhide on 7/17/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

I did not think they played very well. It was four bands that all needed more practice and only had one good song from the 80s.

    80's?

by ZaYb1 on 7/17/09House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Several band members mixed with the crowd during the show which is always appreciated. But, if I had a complaint it's that the bands were trying to push new stuff and not playing enough 80's music first. I don't mind hearing new stuff but save it for the end of your set or mix it in here and there. As always the HOB is a great place to see a show. Oh, also, if your band has only one original member shouldn't you mention that somewhere in the show advertisements? I'm just saying. (Why isn't Jene Loves Jezebel listed? They opened the show.)

    Flock of Seagulls was good

by IAmDaves on 7/16/09House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

It would have been better if Dramarama didn't over play and cause Flock of Seagulls to only play for a short time. Don't get me wrong... I went to see everyone, just I didn't want to see them as long as I had to. Would have rather seen Flock of Seagulls more.

    Dramarama was great!

by MariaB on 7/16/09House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

Dramarama was without a doubt, the best performance of the night. The others were good and the lead singer of When in Rome had a fantastic voice; however, Dramarama put on the best group performance. John Easdale sounded just as good as he always has and the crowd loved it.

The event was as it was back in the days... The music is the best.
