  • Only for Sonata Arctica!!!

by SeishinUma on 10/2/09House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

Sonata Arctica was worth the entire price of the ticket! They are fabulous performers and musicians!!! They are also such nice people, i would recommend seeing them to anyone! However, Dragonforce was hugely disappointing. I left after their first song. Takeing Dawn did a pretty good job, i wouldn't mind seeing them again.

  • Fantastic Show!

    by Pat53 on 10/2/09Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

DragonForce and Sonata Arctica were fantastic! An incredibly high energy show with two bands I love but never expected to see. The Beaumont Club is a good venue, well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive we had to get there. I highly recommend both the bands and the venue.

Dragonforce is one of the best bands I've ever seen. These guys are truly incredible musicians. The intensity they bring to a show is amazing. I hope they come back soon!

  • Keytar! In the HOUSE!

by djmikeyz28 on 10/1/09House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Dragonforce kicked ass. Blindingly fast, and a surprisingly heavy amount of the keytar throughout. If you haven't seen them, do it. Do it now. Awesome show!

  • Dragonforce was so much fun!

by Metalheaven on 10/1/09House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Went with 4 kids ages 12 and 17. I myself do not fit into either of these age groups being somewhat older that 17. I found that even with the differences in all of our ages, everyone had a great time. Dragonforce is just fun to watch. They always put on a great show. However, if you are fortunate enough to be down in front as we were, prepare to get wet.

  • Killer Good

by Tetragurl on 10/1/09House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

If you are a metal fan. This band is truly great entertainment. Their drummer drives this band with incredible frenzy. I can't imagine how hard it was to find keyboards and guitarists to keep up with him. They managed to do it and this band makes it all seem so easy. I think they are one of the most harmonic metal bands on the face of the earth. LONG LIVE DRAGON FORCE! I had never heard Sonata Arctica but was incredibly impressed. I will be purchasing their CD's. House of Blues is a great venue. A good time had by all!

Dragonforce is a creation of indiviual talents of vocal, keyboard, base guitar that is the greatest show i have seen in a long time, Young,Talented,Hot and brash just the way I like my rock music. and to top it off the quickwitted eyeplay, and that gorgeous hair is eneogh to make me always be a fan of Dragonforce. KEEP RAWKING

the venue was great because we could get really close to the band. Sonota Arctica was awsome and Dragonforce played all of my favorite songs. I scored a five from ZP and Hermin

  • Very good event

    by Fred32165461465 on 9/30/09Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Despite only 500 people or so attending this show, it was great. The fans that did come were of the best sort. They knew the lyrics, responded well to the band, and were very friendly to each other. All three bands preformed professionally doing what I believe was as good of a show as could be possibly expected of them. Lots of energy, light heartedness, and fan participation.

  • Sonata + Dragonforce + Taking Dawn =MASSIVE DAMAGE

by RellikEvol on 9/29/09Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Open gig: Taking Dawn Taking Dawn is a newer band and they are very energetic. They will definitely go far in life. It seemed as if the bass was too loud at times and sometimes you could not even hear the singer screaming into the mic, but that is easily fixed with a good sound crew. Tons of potential and i will definitely look into their cd in January. Second gig: Sonata Arctica. Sonata is a great band to watch. Very energetic and also love to play pranks on either other mid concert. They add a great amount of humor into the show to make it the perfect balance of humor and music. Seeing the keyboardist at work is amazing and getting to hang out with after the show makes for a unforgettable evening. Final gig: Dragonforce Dragonforce certainly does not like to pull out any of the stops in their concerts. Their music is fast paced and so are their concerts. Many times the ending of one song will immediately start the next. Makes the concert go by too fast, but you certianly get your fill of Dragonforce by the end. Whether they are jumping all over the stage, singing and drinking Corona at the same time, or just play pushing each other around while playing they certainly know how to keep the crowd entertained either by their music or their antics.

  • Dragonforce is INSANE!!!!

by Philocrates on 9/29/09Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I had no idea what to expect at this concert. Starting out with Taking Dawn, I was impressed. I thougth, "Wow, these guys are good, and it's REALLY loud". Then Sonata Arctica was even better. I had never heard them, and I am now a big fan. Then Dragonforce. I have heard all of there albums, but hearing their stuff live was amazing! They absolutely blew away my expectations and I definately plan on going to their next concert in the KC area. Long story short: Dragonforce was unbelievable!

  • DRAGONFORCE was AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    by godzilla99 on 9/29/09Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Dragonforce was even better than I expected. ZP has great vocals and with Herman and Sam on guitars with the rumbling from Daves drums it was a show I will remember for a long time. I will be at the next DRAGONFORCE concert in KC where ever they play. Beaumont Club is getting some great bands, MEGADETH on Dec. 5th.They are turning into a great venue.

  • LONG LIVE DRAGONFORCE!!!

by WolfofAvalon on 9/29/09Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

all three bands performed very well, and i got 2 sit up close. the only bad thing was that a woman took off her shirt. no security responded

  • Awesome show!

by misshulagirl on 9/29/09Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

Sonata Arctica and Dragonforce were both amazing! Taking Dawn was ok. I could tell Sonata Arctica and Dragonforce were having fun on stage and that made the show that much more enjoyable!

  • Sonata Arctica made the show

by Arails on 9/29/09Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

Like the title states, Sonata was the real winner for me. Taking Dawn wasn't terrible, and they had a surprisingly good stage presence, but they weren't amazing either. Sonata Arctica delivered a truly amazing set, even though it was short. They had great communication going with the crowd, and were very solid with their sound. Dragon Force was another matter. They had a light show that was blinding, not metaphorically either...literally blinding. My friends and I had headaches afterward. As far as their performance goes, it was better than what I've seen of their past live videos, but it still wasn't great. To be fair, they did do a great job wooing the crowd with their flashy moves.

  • Dragonforce was really good.

by KCPunk on 9/29/09Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

The opening bands played awhile and were good. But when Dragonforce came onstage the place erupted and they played for over an hour! Their guitar skills and vocals are amazing, I will see them again!

  • dragonforce & taking dawn sucked

  • Dragonforce rocked!

by SuperHarley on 9/29/09Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Great show!!!!! I have never gone away from a concert with my ears ringing, but this one I did. They put on a great show, and so did Taking Dawn and Sonata Arctica. I would definitely go see them again and again.

  • Dragonforce Rocks!!

by Niems on 9/29/09Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Beaumont is a great venue for an intimate show. KC disappointed in only bringing 200-300 people for the amazing guitar display that is Dragonforce.
