    Dracula

Wonderful Performance. San Antonio needs to wake up and realize they have a Professional Ballet Company in town and support them. I was saddened by the turn out.

    where is the blood

by Lancelot2112 on 10/29/12lila cockrel theater - san antonio

o.k. so i went to my first ballet the other night and it was good. i have alot of respect for dancers (i know its harder than it looks) the scenes were great and the fight scenes were awsome. the only complaint i might have is that there was no blood. how can dracula bite some pretty girl and no blood is shown hmmm. overall a great experience. i love that all the children that came to the show dressed in there costumes making for an even more fun experience.

Partners Dancing Lovely. Chorus Dancing Mediocre.

by meganlynn26 on 10/29/12Lila Cockrell Theater - San Antonio

The girl who played Lucy was phenomenal. Partners dancing was lovely. Chorus dancing seemed out of sync in almost every scene.

    Dracula ballet was excellent

by brian8428 on 10/28/12Lila Cockrell Theater - San Antonio

First couple acts hard to get into. After intermission, they showed of why they got their lead roles. Girls danced like true experts. Foot work was exceptional. Just beautiful!

    Interesting

by Andy1986 on 10/28/12Lila Cockrell Theater - San Antonio

It was a nice ballet, very organized. I thought there was too much story rather than dancing tho. I also missed seeing everyone in tights as well. When the dancers would do a move, you couldn't really see the body because of all the loose fitting clothes. Overall is was oaky tho, I expected much more. I think my friends felt the same. When the show ended we didn't talk about it.

Wasn't Sure What To Expect But...

by StokersGhost on 12/5/11Marcus Center for the Performing Arts - Milwaukee

I do not consider myself a ballet connoisseur but I do consider myself a fan of Bram Stoker's Dracula and this is one the best artistic renditions of the novel I have yet seen. The ballet was skillfully performed and followed the novel fairly closely allowing one to truly experience the emotion of the characters in the novel in a way that the book could not accomplish. The musical score was moving and the choreography stunning. Excellent show that my wife and I hope to see again.

    great dance company

by Kittwarn on 11/10/11DECC's Symphony Hall - Duluth

Duluth should be proud to have this company in its midst. Every aspect of this production was first-rate, from set to costumes to dancers. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

    Great Ballet

by Pottergirl1380 on 11/4/11Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - Milwaukee

As my friend and I were driving to see Dracula, we asked each other how were they going to do this as a ballet? Well to put it simply, they did it. It was amazing, the dancing, the costumes, the scenery, it was all great. I've read the book, seen the play, watched several of the movies, but the ballet was the icing on the cake. Great job!!

    AMAZING

by TheaterBuff87 on 11/3/11Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - Milwaukee

I LOVED this ballet, the music, the acts, the performers, everything was AWESOME. The story was told so well and it wasn't one of those done in an hour and a half nonsense ballets. I like that this particular show isn't overdone as well! All around it was just AWESOME. I would definitly go see it again when it comes to town next yer!

Dancing was good, but too long. Music was fine, but unmemorable. Sets and costumes were good. Intermissions were too long.

    Dracula was well done.

by mother82 on 10/31/11Peter Martin Wege Theatre - Grand Rapids

It was a very interesting and unique performance. The story line was followed by the performers. Amazing talent. It is awesome to have a professional ballet company in Michigan and well worth the trip.

Dracula the ballet was oustanding. The costumes, set, and choreography were amazing. I heard quite a few people say they were lost in the story and did not know what was going on. I'm thankful that I read the book because I would probably agree. However, you don't really need to have read the book to understand because all you really need to know is who Dracula, Mina, and Jonathan are. Overall it was amazing and I'm very thankful I went.
