DR SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL is the record-setting Broadway sensation which features the hit songs "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas" from the original animated television special. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is "two sizes too small," decides to steal Christmas away from the Holiday loving Whos. Magnificent sets and costumes inspired by Dr. Seuss' original illustrations help transport audiences to the whimsical world of Whoville, as this sparkling production breathes new life into this timeless story of the true meaning of Christmas. Don't miss what The New York Times calls "AN EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCE! 100 times better than any bedtime story."

This event was at the Hilu Theater in MSG. The performance of the Grinch was excellent. That is really the only positive comment. This was a 90 minute, no intermission, show. The scenery was mostly computer generated and the costuming was minimal. There were many scenes with the curtain closed giving itmthe feel of a high school production. This is the type of show I would expect a community theater to produce. The cost I paid was the same as an orchestra seat at a Broadway show. My three grandchildren though it was okay, which translates into boring. Very disappointed.
We chose to see the Grinch as the holiday show for our family this year. Fantastic acting, marvelous decorations and, of course, a wonderful story for the adults and kids alike has made it feel like a great choice.
We had a blast. There were 10 of us in our party. Walking the stairs to the top level was a little steep, but we made it. We were in the front row above the walkway, top level. The bar was hard for the kids to see over, but we were offered booster seats. The stadium seating from the second row was phenomenal. The show kept us entertained and had enough of the one liners from the original 30 minute movie to give us that feel good feeling.
A great play on a classic! My kids loved it, even my 13 year old! Look forward bringing my grandchildren!
Way too expensive for a play that doesn't last not even an hour and a half. So yes, take your kids once and never go back. Once is enough. And the theater is the most uncomfortable yet, just beg that an adult doesn't sit in front of your kid, you won't see anything. The old layout of Hulu theater is not appropriate for the show, another venue is a must.
Wonderful show. Excellent performance by all, especially the grinch. Children will love it, some audience participation encouraged, such as singing along.
The setting is nice and the seats are ok. Facilities are good too. Just not my favorite show. The actors were great, but again, it’s just the story itself is not my favorite
The live show was great. Lots of fun and great acting/singing.
We pre-booked tickets to see the Grinch @ MSG and we loved it!! i could not believe there was a live orchestra playing the music along with the show, just was an incredible thing to witness. all characters were portrayed brilliantly by the cast. 100% recommend this show to anyone heading to NYC
Everything was fantastic. Pre show activities were so much fun! Our entire family had a wonderful time.
My family went while visiting NYC. The theater is perfect, not a bad seat in the house. The show was amazing, we all loved it!
Small theater with an even smaller stage. The first 30 minutes was constant distraction of people coming in late and finding their seats. People up and down, my kids couldn’t see (we were pretty far back in sec 304). They ended up sitting on a step in the aisle to see better. Cast was great. Story was cute. I would not return to the Hulu theater
My family had a blast watching this musical! They had so much fun, we laughed and enjoyed ourselves very much!!
The production was great and the performance was well worth the price. Very entertaining and we had 5 teenagers ranging from 13 to 18 who enjoyed the show as much as all the younger children. Concessions and souvenir's were pricey so be prepared.
Lack of excitment, lack of props and special effects, lack of entertainment. This did not keep our attention and I couldn't imagine it keeping anyones. It reminded me of a senior class production. Keep your money and watch the movie.
I loved the show. I took my daughters to see it and they loved it as well. I would highly recommend to everyone to go and see. I loved the Grinch. Plus Max the dog was awesome.
The musical was spot on, based on the original Dr. Seuss book! Christmas in Manhattan, what's not to love! The show was most fun the acting and singing wonderful!
Who doesn't love the Grinch! Great family show and great music to get you into the holiday spirit.
Getting ontogeny was HORRIBLE. Had us going in the same enter an email as a college basketball game. Was mobbed and people were pushing and there was no one to ask a question to. Band was amazing but we were sitting closest to them so they hey overpowered the singing and it was very hard to hear the words of the actors. Also making it hard to hear was the disrespectful audience. Behind me was a toddler whoa parents who thought it was hilarious when he spoke loudly or crinkled his candy wrapper so they laughed out loud and took pictures with flash and videos of him before giving hi. Their phone to play with. This was just one example...and the ushers did not attempt to curtail the bad behavior of the adults whatsoever Show was very Disney like as opposed to Broadway. Overall it was “meh” for me. My 8 year old twins enjoyed it. Would say the target audience is 5-10
