  • Fantastic Show

by BingoBongo on 12/6/10Paradise - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I saw Donavon at the Paradise in Boston 12/3. It was an amazing show. The price was right and we got a CD with the cost. Can't beat that! Keep doing your thing buddy. Love the new album!

  • Peace LOVE & Donovan

    by Boston04Kath on 12/6/10Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I love when Donovan comes to the New England Area, he's a great artist and wonderful performer!!!! It never gets old.... He has a great energy and puts a smile right on my face!! I enjoyed seeing him at the Paradise, the biggest indoor venue I've seen him at so far!!! And it was awesome to meet him & get a picture after the show! Made my night!

What can I say... AMAZING! It was my first time seeing him. Loved it!

  • Donavon was great!!

    by slv722 on 12/3/10Webster Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Donavon is a lot of fun for people of all ages. I saw people in their 20's and up to 50 years old. The band is awesome. They are so in sync with eachother and you can tell they are enjoying every minute of their performance. I was moving and dancing pretty much the entire time.

  • Frankenreiter Rocks

    by Skyy78 on 11/29/10Variety Playhouse - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Fast becoming a legend in his own right Donavon again solidified that his surf orientated, happy go lucky music has a firm place in anyone's music library. More than a repetition of some good songs though Donavon and his extremely talented band showed that over and over again they can put on a great show and exercise their skills on each and every song they take on.

Donavan put on a great show. He is genuine and you can feel the positive energy flowing from the stage. No need for flashy effects as the musicianship spoke for itself.

  • Another great show!!

by Madmes on 11/29/10Variety Playhouse - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This was my third Donavon show this year and he continues to get better each time. Each performance is very energetic and soulful. I highly recommend seeing him live if you're a fan. If you're not a fan, I doubt you will leave one of his shows that way.

  • so incredibly awesome!!

awesome show on thanksgiving night! small, intimate crowd. everyone really into the whole show. amazing band!! had a blast!!

  • Donavon did not want to be there

    by axl3 on 11/26/10Variety Playhouse - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

Venue is great but the sound system overpowered Donavon's unique voice as it was very hard to make sense of the lyrics. While right for some groups it did not work for his gig. Very few people attended which could have been due to it being Thanksgiving eve. Im a big Donavon fan but he just did not act like he wanted to be there. Its easy to get that vibe from a performer. Very little energy. Maybe all the one night stands he is doing is wearing him down. . Very little interaction with crowd. Overall his performance was a disappointment. The lead in act was great and really engaged the crowd. Ximena Sarinana rocks.

  • Donavon was fantastic!

An awesome show by Donavon! He has been a favorite for the last 3 years for me and he didn't disappoint. A laid-back show that was enjoyable every minute! He has a awesome band backing him too.

Donavon put on a very enjoyable show! Great set list. Plenty of fun, up tempo numbers along with his signature mellow tunes. Good crowd! High school girl at the end needs more exposure. Got a future!

  • Frankenreiter is it.

by Williamwel on 11/8/10McMenamins Crystal Ballroom - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Frankenreiter did not dissapoint. He was walking around Crystal Ballroom before the show and he seems just as laid back as his music. He made the show feel comfortable. There was a crowd but it wasn't overpacked. I will definately be on the lookout for another show. It felt like you were listening to good friends play and they seemed to like the Portland crowd.

  • Great Concert

by Wildstew on 11/8/10McMenamins Crystal Ballroom - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Donavon Frankenreiter was even more talented than I thought he was--didn't know he could play the electric guitar so well. His band really rocked. Everyone had a fantastic time. It was really easy to get a place close to the stage at the Crystal Ballroom, so this made the admission cost of 20 something dollars a real bargain. Open act, a teenager from Mexico City whose name I can't remember, valiantly tried to put on a good show, but she was sort of a curious choice for an opener--cute, though. All-in-all a really fun evening; I look forward to seeing him again whenever possible.

  • Donavon was AMAZING!!

It was a small show which made it even better! I was front row and that made it even more more amazing!
