Donavon is amazing live! Loved the show, loved the crowd, loved the venue! Everybody got a copy of his new CD FREE! He gets the crowd involved, which is great!

Great dancing and wonderful music. We tend to stay in the back so we have room to move. And guess who came out to hang with us ... Donavon himself! Wondered around greeting the fans in the back!

Great concert at a classic venue. It always a fun night at the Roxy. The set list was a good mix of old and new. Everything off his new album Glow sounded amazing! Was excited to hear lovely day. I have never seen that one live.

  • Awesome show!!

by Madmes on 9/16/10House of Blues - Myrtle BeachRating: 5 out of 5

I caught Donavon at The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach and it was one of the best shows I have been to. Mishka opened up with an all acoustic set and joined Donavon for a couple of songs at the end. Great music and a very high level of audience participation. You can tell that he enjoys his job and really tries to put everything into his performance. I will definitely be catching another show, hopefully sooner than later.

  • Donavon was awesome

being a Maui girl I loved the slack key & uke he introduced at this show - I've been listening to "Revisited" ever since - best live shows ever have been the last 2 with him at The Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale - small venues just make the whole show even more amazing!!!!!!!

  • American Bandstand?

by WSPANIC on 7/7/10Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 1 out of 5

I always liked Donovan and will continue to listen him via CD but seeing him live was excrusciating. First off the venue is terrible. Now for the show, It felt like I was on date night and watching either and episode of American Bandstand or VH! Storytellers. The show had no energy or "pop". The crowd was weak and the calling up girls to the stage was so "cliche". This guy "live" is actually "dead". Bottom line just a boring, hot(temperature), crowded, limp show.

  • Donovan in St. Pete

Great venue and awesome show! Easy to get in and out of Jannus Landing and the show was perfect!

As always he puts on a great show. Can't wait until he comes bak to St. Pete.

  • Great to see him as a headliner!

by roxykat on 7/4/10Jannus Live - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

Donovan started off slow but finished with a bang! Covered all his old songs, which in my opinion are his best. Involved the audience and rocked the place. I first heard of Donovan in Australia while studying abroad. I got to see him open for Jack Johnson in Sydney, and was so happy to see him as a headliner!

Donavon and his band are flat out amazing...his music always puts me in a walking on the beach kinda mood! Can't wait to see him again. Firestone is a very nice venue as well

Amazing show he and his band had the room enthralled, if you have a chance to see them don't hesitate. The opportunity to see him in such a intimate setting will not be around for much longer

  • An Evening to Remember

    by pbgx2 on 1/3/10Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

I took my husband who had never heard Donovan before and he is now a true fan. There was never a dull moment and Donovan was a true showman, keeping the audience entertained and involved. We only wish he had played at a slightly larger venue with better acoustics.

  • First time I saw Donavan

by Brivon on 1/3/10Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

I had never heard of this artist (sorry Donavan fans!) and had actually gone to see the opening act, B-Liminal. B-liminal was good as usual although the vocals could have been stronger. The band had lots of good energy on stage. Donavan came on stage and the crowd just loved him....and now I know why! His music is mellow and then just jumps right into a full on rock jammin' session! Totally recommend his show to all!
