Dogstar is Back & Better Than Ever
by RedSchadler on 8/15/23Rating: 5 out of 5I had to fly to Las Vegas for a conference, as one does, but as I was preparing for the conference I noticed DogStar was going to play at the Brooklyn Bowl during the Saturday night of my stay. I quickly snagged two tickets and searched my old CD collection for their original album, 'Happy Ending', from 1999 (still in a sleeve with no scratches). This was an all ages show with everyone from your 75 year old grandparents clad with oxygen tanks to the kid your kid babysits in attendance. The venue was standing room only, but the positive energy and rockin' music made for a great night out.
Dogstar's new music from the upcoming album 'Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees', which drops in early October, are now in my regular playlist rotation and like the guys on stage, their music has grown finer with age. Snag your tickets to the show, if you can. Most venues are already sold out, including my hometown of Nashville. Lucky to have been able to see the show in Las Vegas and enjoy it with a local colleague.
