Great show and amazing venue . Awesome performance! We had a blast!
Yes, Keanu Reeves is a huge draw, but for just a second forget about Neo/John Wick and listen to the music! These are actually really talented musicians and they have a great sound. Give them a try!
The crowd was there for Keanu. The band was clean, good, solid but, meh. A couple good mellow songs and a strong finish, but I was more impressed by the first band - their energy, lead guitarist (assuming it wasn’t the vocalist), the vocalist - what a performance.
I've heard of Dogstar for obvious reasons but was pleasantly surprised by how well they played and how their music sounded. I'd say they were similar to the Goo Goo Dolls but on different level. The sound system in Emo's was so so and could've been better. All in all pretty good show.
I was not expecting such energy to come from the show. The band was great, I love how personable they were with the crowd and their fans. If they happen to swing on back to Houston, Tx. I will definitely be there to support them. #LoveDogstar
Dogstar was really amazing live! They were all very nice when we met them! The soundcheck was fun and Keanu Reeves even played a little bit of Joy Division! It was awesome! I really hope they don't wait another 21 years to tour again! HOUSTON TEXAS LOVES DOGSTAR!🤙🐾⭐️🎵🙌🏻♥️
This wasn't about an actor and two friends, these were three musicians that rocked it. Wife and I enjoyed their music and could tell they were having fun playing. Tight, good levels, and exceptional stage. We'd pay to see them again!
DOGSTAR was absolutely incredible. They put on the best show and t was so fun. We had VIP tickets and it was worth every penny. Also the staff at House of Blues was excellent! Tyler Sorrell was so helpful and patient with us and our bartender, Brittany, in the foundation room was just great! She was sweet and funny. It was a perfect night.
I saw Dogstar on 9/25 at House of Blues! I bought the VIP Experience package and could not be happier!! Meeting the band was BREATHTAKING!!
Loved the venue and The Bands were AWESOME!!! The energy from the bands was enough to make me Dance and jump all night .
I saw Dogstar last night at House of Blues in Houston. Amazing show full of energy, fun and happiness. I love the band and their music (and have since the first album) but I was there to see Keanu play. He did not disappoint. You can tell he genuinely enjoys playing music. Seeing him smile while playing made me smile as well. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I went to two shows. I first went to the show in Phoenix and no joke I was so impressed, I drove to Vegas the next day to go see them again. Both shows were absolutely incredible. And I'm not one to usually write Ticketmaster reviews, but after seeing them, I just had to share the excitement I experienced with others. Dogstar is easily one of best bands I've seen live. They didn't need some fancy production to woo the crowd. Just the combination of the intimate venues and Dogstar's raw passionate energy and excitement creating an atmosphere that was unparalleled. I love Bret's voice and he sounds absolutely amazing live. And the emotion you feel when he plays guitar just illuminates the whole room - it's so powerful. Rob plays the drums with all his heart and you can see his enthusiasm displayed right on his face throughout the entire night. And when talking about Rob, of course I have to mention how impressive and soulful his drum and harmonica segments were both nights. And of course Keanu would have the natural ability to rock out and just look so effortlessly cool doing it. You can truly feel his sincerity through his playing and see the enjoyment it brings him. It's so special. And with this shared passion and immense talent, the three of them have the capability to create these beautiful moments in time and space that are just pure musical magic. From the bottom of my heart, if you have the opportunity to go see them - don't hesitate. It's been a month since I've seen them and I still can't stop thinking about it. I'm definitely going to try to attend another show this year. But until then, I'm so excited for the album release and I can't wait to listen to all of these songs again <3
I was lucky to have the chance to see Dogstar at the Roxy Theatre and The Observatory OC and they did not disappoint! I have their first 2 albums and was really looking forward to hearing their new material. Solid setlist of new songs- it would've been nice for them to throw in one or two from the past, I especially love their first album- but it was still magical. The love and energy these three give off made for a great show. Of course, Keanu was the big draw for most people, seeing him play the bass was very cool, but the band was really tight and Bret's lyrics are catchy and drew in the audience, and he's very skilled on guitar. Rob killed it on drums and harmonica. I recommend catching them if you are fortunate enough to get tickets.
I got to be up front it was so fun smelt clean and was cool inside
So I purchased the meet & greet sound check experience. well I can say it was the worst experience ever! sound check was fine. meet and greet…. let’s see the band sat on the edge of the stage, everyone lined up. they took us in groups of ten, we stood in front of them, had our pictures taken with a group of strangers. then rushed out of the venue. to go stand in line in the heat for over an hour. no interaction with the band whatsoever! we got a set of dog tags, and a lanyard (not autograph ) so disappointing. as for the show, I really enjoy listening to them, however live. Not so much. boring stage presence. no crowd connection. it felt like i was watching a garage band, that was performing in front of people for the first time. Keanu never smiled, ok one small grin. the drummer seemed to be the only one having fun. so not worth the money I spent. I definitely had more fun with the people I met standing in line.
Great Energy, good show, and sweet fans! I was fortunate to see them at The Observatory - LIVE (Santa Ana) - I enjoyed all the music! I do think a couple things: 1.) DogStar could tour with another back ground singer and harmonize. I think that would add to the dynamic of their sound. 2.) since so many fans love Keanu (quite obvious and he’s an extremely-high-energy talented bass player) it would be nice if Keanu spoke to the audience a little to connect and even banter with the other guys. Share and tell stories. It was a joy to witness their success! Go see them if you get the chance.
Absolutely terrific. They were amazing and Keanu ❤️ I could go to every show and still be in awe.
First time at this venue, loved it! Very cozy. There is no “bad seat” wherever you sit. Very friendly bartender and tasty drinks. The merch guy was super friendly and helpful. I met lots of nice people while waiting in both lines. Sounds system was just right. I loved that there was plenty of leg room for people to walk out without me getting up each time. Overall, I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Dogstar put on a great show and I hope to see them, again, at this venue, if they return. And, now that I’m familiar with the venue, I can’t wait to return.
I saw Dogstar for the first time last night in Napa, California at the beautiful Uptown Theatre! The Trims opened and they were pretty good. Dogstar went on and played the entirety of their new upcoming album plus some of other older tunes. All three members had great stage presence and played very well! I was impressed! Of course, it was very cool to see Keanu Reeves! I’m going again to the show in STL next month!
The vip experience was a little underwhelming. But it was great to meet the band. It’s been a dream to meet Keanu.
