  • Simply incredible

    by JoshTAnderson36 on 8/27/12Ohio Theatre - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was amazing. I would recommend it as a must for all Final Fantasy fans. It's just darn good music anyway too outside of the fact it's from video games. While there, it was like I was reliving my childhood. I was in a nostalgic ecstasy.

  • Outstanding show!

    by Katz05 on 8/27/12Ohio Theatre - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

We waited for several years for this concert to come close enough for us to attend. It was well worth the wait. The orchestra was amazing, and watching the video footage along with the music brought back the gaming experience. This show is one you cannot miss.

  • It changed my life forever

by ReikoHaru on 8/27/12Ohio Theatre - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

It started off with a bang, the overall performance was unimaginable but the singer that was picked for this particular location did not meet my expectations on the song "Eyes on Me". As half the song was missing as if she forgot the words during the start. When the three soloist sang the "Opera" it was just epic, there talent exploded through the venue and kept everyone clapping for more. The songs that they picked for this event was more than what I expected and covered an array of different games. I only wished there was more time, or other events surrounding this wonderful composer. The moment when the composer Nobuo Uematsu came up to play a song from Final Fantasy 4 and made it more interesting along with a small mini skit. It's a must see!

  • Tons of fun.

    by Nate1988 on 8/27/12Ohio Theatre - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

That had to be one of the most fun events I've ever been to. Getting to see Nobuo Uematsu was such a treat, everyone there was so friendly, the music was all excellently performed. Highly recommended for fans of Final Fantasy.

  • A Great experience for a Final Fantasy Fan...

by Guynolan on 8/27/12Ohio Theatre - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

The music that fans know and love plays while movie clips of gameplay and CG runs on a big screen above the orchestra. I've seen this show in 3 different cities and each time i'm captivated by Arnie Roth, by the cosplay of fans, by the great music and of course Nobou Uematsu's presence. Great show!

  • Great time!

by Silcharus on 8/27/12Ohio Theatre - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Pretty similar performance to their show in Grand Rapids... Until Nobuo and Arnie played with the orchestra on "The Dark World". That was truly a surprise and a great memory to take away from the show. I was disappointed in the missing Choir for "One WInged Angel", almost totally made up by the audience becoming the choir. All in all, a great show. I can't wait for the next chance to see this concert again.

by RUNSaMOUTH on 8/27/12Ohio Theatre - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was an excellent performance of Final Fantasy music. The selections were wonderful with very talented musicians and singers. Arnie Roth did a fantastic job directing and selecting the pieces. It was a treat to be able to honor Mr. Uematsu and have him in attendance, in addition to hearing him play.

  • Distant Worlds: music from Final Fantasy

by nakvball on 8/27/12Ohio Theatre - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

Having no knowledge or background of the game "Final Fantasy", I absolutely loved the music, it was dynamic & very pleasing to listen to. The young lady from Detroit, the vocalist was outstanding. As far as the graphics from the games, I could have done without, but there were fans there that did enjoy them. The composer was present, enjoyed his interaction with the audience at the end of the show as well.

Incredible. The female voice in Opera Maria&Draco couldve been better but the rest made up for this minor problem. Nobuo Uematsu's Music will never get old. He is a legend in music.

The performances of Uematsu-sama, the symphony, and the soloists were simply amazing. The venue was gorgeous and comfortable. Best $35 I have ever spent on a concert!

Definitely a great time for a Final Fantasy fan. Other folks might not really be into it. Two hours wasn't enough time to fit in all the music from twenty five years of games, but there was a diverse sample. Recommended highly to any fans of the games.

  • Absolutely phenomenal!

    by shuyin313 on 8/27/12Ohio Theatre - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

This was an amazing show and a must see for any fan of the Final Fantasy series. The orchestra was top notch and the vocalists were extremely talanted. And not only was the conductor amazing but the composer of most of the music took part in the show as well. It was an unforgettable experience.

Great music, great showmanship, interactive, moving experience

  • Decent

by DWregular on 8/27/12Ohio Theatre - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

The Ohio Theater is beautiful. The show was good, but not their best. I've seen them in Chicago twice and each time they had a chorus. This time it was just the orchestra and though they performed well it isn't the same without the numbers with a full orchestra attached.

  • Fantastical!

by SheshwanChicken on 8/27/12Ohio Theatre - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

It was perfectly mixed with nostalgia, talent, and humor. Thank you, Nobuo Uematsu for being there!

Distant Worlds was a great concert, Arnie Roth does a great sob as both narrator and conductor. The guest soloists were wonderful, as well as the orchestra, and of course nobuo uematsu himself was great.
