  • Lovely

by Aveise on 2/16/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Distant Worlds was far beyond what I imagined. The orchestra was fantastic and Arni Roth made the audience feel like we were a part of the performance. The fact that Nobuo Uematsu was there made it all the better, I just wish that he would sit at a table (after the concert) or something so that people can get a chance at an autograph. I know you can meet him if you pay extra but most people cannot afford the extra cost.

I would highly recommend this to anyone weather you play the games or not. The music is amazing and beautiful! The orchestra nailed it! The choir nailed it and the game footage was amazing! I can't wait to go again!!!!

  • A great night of great songs!

    by Alita99 on 2/16/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

Choice of songs was great-really brought back a lot of good memories of playing these games. I was pleased to hear more songs from the older games, such as the main title from FFV and "Theme of Love" from FFIV. All three soloists for the opera from FFVI were amazing as well! Overall, it was a nice selection of songs and video, with actual gameplay footage mixed in with the animations from the games. Wonderful to see and hear! The only downside might have been the venue itself. Parking was not immediately apparent, and we were late to the beginning of the show trying to find it. Also, when we arrived there was an usher to scan our tickets, and she barely even acknowledged us. No one directed us to our seats, and it was a major challenge trying to find them in the dark. We also walked into the auditorium in the middle of a song, which I'm not used to being able to do at these concerts. The seats themselves were great, but a little help in finding them would have gone a long way! I would definitely go to another FF concert like this, though. Had a great time overall!

  • A powerful, fun trip through memories

by Xoinks on 2/16/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

Beautiful video, great arrangements. The whole performance was put to video, which is what was missing from Zelda. Great date night, hands down!

  • Distant worlds was great!

by Camerahead on 2/16/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

The show was spectacular the only thing I was annoyed by were all the late commers. So many times after the show started we had to get up and let someone in the row, or the people in front of us had to do the same thing it really interrupted the show.

Orchestra was amazing, the opera was beautiful, and the choir was awesome.

  • Worth it! Distant Worlds is an Experience

    by Mason100 on 2/16/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

I would say everything from the preshow gathering to the post show meet and greet was nothing short of Phenomenal. I would have to say that as a long time fan of the Final Fantasy Series that the VIP meet and greet is a MUST for any serious fan. Loved it Recommend it and WILL GO AGAIN!

  • A life long fan, not disappointed

by Mattheux on 2/16/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

It goes without say that I am a life-long Final Fantasy fan, but as my life has progressed I have fallen in love with Japanese culture beyond that of Anime and gaming. That being said, this show is everything I ever expected it to be and more, every favorite is performed and there are always a few surprises. Arnie Roth delivers an amazing performance and conducts the orchestra in a manner that feels as if we are playing the games in our early youth again! I loved every minute of this two hour show, I WILL attend again the first chance I get. A seasoned fan or a new generation gamer will not be let down.

Beautiful music and lively performance! If you are a true Final Fantasy fan, attempt to go to one of the Distant Worlds concerts.

  • Nobuo has done it again

by Mystile on 12/17/12Akoo Theatre at Rosemont - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

The event was incredible, the venue was spacious (a lot of people were there, but the lobby and theater comfortably held them all), and parking was easy. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

  • Unforgettable Evening

by coolikethat122 on 12/16/12Akoo Theatre at Rosemont - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely fantastic. The venue was stunning, but the music was definitely the highlight of the evening. Easily the best concert I've ever been to.

  • Iconic moment and will never be forgotten!

by ChocobolovesFF4 on 12/16/12Akoo Theatre at Rosemont - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

This concert can't be reviewed! There is nothing negative about it and all that can be said are praises. This is the 25th anniversary of a iconic game! There will never be another show like this ever again. I traveled from NYC just to see this.

  • One of the best shows!

by TifaL7 on 12/14/12Akoo Theatre at Rosemont - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

This is one of the best events I ever have attended. The music was beautiful, great energy and enthusiasm. I liked the presence of a screen showing various clips from the games. There was a lot to do in the lobby before the show, including a concert preview. Lovely venue, friendly staff. You don't have to be a Final Fantasy fan to enjoy the music. I definitely would attend another concert.

  • The awesomeness that was Distant Worlds!

by Sissalissa on 12/13/12Akoo Theatre at Rosemont - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

This was a total geek-out moment for me, I love the music (and game play) of several of the final fantasy games, I was so excited to find out that not only was there a Distant Worlds concert decently close to where I live, but also the composer himself was there! It was so much fun, I definitely hope to go again next year!

  • Distant Worlds continues to amaze...

by KwehKweh on 12/12/12Akoo Theatre at Rosemont - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was amazing and the music was performed phenomenally. The only thing I would've liked is if there were more merchandise to purchase. All the new items seemed to have limited quantities which unfortunately was a big let down.

  • Unforgettable show!

by gritz2m on 12/12/12Akoo Theatre at Rosemont - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing. A must see for any Final Fantasy fan out there. They did songs from every numbered game out there. Truly amazing.

  • Epic night

Epic, no words can discribe. Had to been there to see for yourself.
