  • Absolutely phenomenal.

by MerleBlue on 2/3/15New Jersey Performing Arts Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

This was absolutely wonderful. If and when Distant Worlds returns to the area, I will definitely be attending once more. If you enjoy Final Fantasy and you enjoy music, then this is not an event to miss.

  • One of the Best Orchestra Concerts!

by SonofDestiny on 12/11/14Sony Centre for the Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I never thought it to be possible to see a live orchestra concert for the Final Fantasy series! When I first heard about it, I was extremely excited for the two months that I had to wait for it, and now that I have seen it, I can definitely say that it was worth the time and the travel to see a concert so electrifying and nostalgic that I will surely attend future concerts that are hosted by Distant Worlds. What better way than for me to have attended the 99th performance, I know without a doubt that the 100th performance in Tokyo will be nothing short of awesome! I would recommend this to ANYONE that is a fan of the Final Fantasy series! Excellent performance!

  • Amazing

by IDeez on 12/10/14Sony Centre for the Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I thought this experience was amazing. I have always wanted to watch a symphony and live the music. This was a very memorable event!

As always at these things, the merchandise line was chaos. I also felt that the selection or merch was not as wide as other events. I felt that the first half of the setlist was kind of meh, would have preferred more up tempo songs. The theater was nice with fair prices for drinks, etc.

  • Absolutely Amazing

by AndrewBest on 12/9/14Sony Centre for the Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Having been a Final Fantasy fan for well over half my life this is a show I'm very glad I went to. If there were 10 stars I'd still give it 10. I'll probably go the next time they're in Toronto.

  • Great show! One thing though ...

by LegendaryMario on 12/9/14Sony Centre for the Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The sound quality was incredible. Everything sounded perfect and a perfect balance. Venue was a really great choice for this event. Merchandise counter was too small, too few items to purchase, limited stock, too few people working behind the counter. No lineup just massive crowd of people squeezing their way through cheating others to the front, I was lucky to get some things before everything was sold out. If the show was longer that would be great, mostly due to the fact that they can bring a more diverse playlist for us. Though they obviously should cater to the popular songs as most fans expect, they should play some of the more underrated songs that never get played. Especially if they plan on continuing the show, they can spare to skip the same songs they play every year, and pave the way for some of the other songs. Many great songs get passed over each time.

  • Distant Worlds - What a night!!

by MR82 on 12/9/14Sony Centre for the Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

What a wonderful show! I had wanted to see this concert for a few years, and was thrilled when it came back to Toronto! The show was about 2 and a half hours long, and was well-paced. I enjoyed seeing a few people in Cosplay, as well as observing people from all walks of life getting together for a night of fantastic music. Don't be afraid to express your love for your favourite game! My only complaint is how swamped the souvenir section was. They could have used a larger area with a few more staff members. Other than that, everything was great!!

  • Distant worlds was awesome

Loved this concert and will go again next year if they return.

  • Great show!

by thumbalinaus on 2/27/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing this show or really even listening to any of the final fantasy music. I really enjoyed the music and the event. It seemed like many of the people in attendance knew what was going on and recognized the music and even the composer. It was definitely neat.

  • Distant Worlds Swept Me Away

by crazypsychoanime on 2/24/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

The music was beautiful. The venue was clean, comfortable, and easy to find. It was very nice to have Nobuo there for the event. Loved the incorporation of video from the games to match the orchestra. There were some playful pieces that made it fun for the kids. Loved the Opera singing. Overall just a great way for the children to enjoy an orchestra performance.

  • A must-see concert for any Final Fantasy fan!

    by HelloLove825 on 2/23/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

It was AMAZING. For the 25th anniversary, they included a chocobo medley and a special battle-theme medley. And the opera for Maria and Draco from FF6 was so beautifully done. I did feel kinda bad when the director, Arnie Roth, excitedly made an announcement about Lightning Returns and some guy jokingly booed. It was a quiet boo, though. I could barely hear him myself, but a lot of the audience members on his side of the theatre started laughing, and the director was like, "Wait, I missed something, didn't I? What's so funny?" People still clapped, so it wasn't too bad. The concert was still very enjoyable. To top it off, they closed with Aerith's Theme. There were of course some great cosplays from fans, as well. It was just a really good night :)

  • Go if you can!

    by TheJMan92 on 2/18/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

If you're a fan of Final Fantasy do not pass up the chance to see these guys! It's an awesome experience, the live music mixed with the projected video to match. All the nostalgia earned from the hours you poured into the great stories the games told is present and seeing it live makes it even more intense. Even better, Nobuo Uematsu was there is person, which was also really awesome. Altogether it was an unmatched experience, one that I would love to enjoy again. If they come back to Milwaukee you can count on me buying a few seats!

  • Final Fantasy Fans eat your hearts out!

    by Tsunami314 on 2/18/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was breath taking. The orchestra was filled with many amazingly talented individuals as well as three guest opera singers. If you have grown up with Final Fantasy and SquareSoft Square-Enix as I have then this is a concert that You have to go see.

  • My First Concert!

    by OnceInALifetime10 on 2/18/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Surprised to see them in Wisconsin, I thought the concert was amazing and well-played by the symphony. Also, Arnie Roth, the composer, addressed that Nobuo is a busy man, had put a time into his schedule to come in Milwaukee and to see us fans!

  • AWESOME, Unforgettable Experience!

    by tomas683 on 2/18/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

This was the first time I had ever purchased a VIP ticket to an event and I am extremely happy that I have. I have gone to a few orchestrated concerts and sitting where I sat takes the cake.

  • Dessert for your ears!

by RonFonz on 2/17/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Had a great time! Orchestra was fantastic! Great renditions of all selections. Some i haven't heard for over 15year! Brought back great memories. *Bonus* Nobuo Uematsu was in attendance. A few rows up from us!

  • by Cieyrin on 2/17/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

The seats were good, the view and sound was excellent, it was generally pretty nice all around. Nobuo Uemetsu being at that performance was just frosting on the cake. Would definitely see again.

  • Enjoyable show but not for that price

by Unforgivable on 2/17/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 3 out of 5

I really enjoy Final Fantasy and their music. I am not sure if it was just the Milwaukee Theater set up but we were close to the front of the stage and we had to look through some of the orchestra to see the screen. I could not even see the choir. It did also seem shorter than I had expected. Without intermission it was only about an hour and a half long or so. For what I payed I don't believe I got my money's worth and I don't say that about a lot of things. I was really hoping for something better, which might have been part of the problem.

  • Distant Worlds was an amazing show!

    by MLanders17 on 2/17/13Milwaukee Theatre - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Distant Worlds Music of Final Fantasy was an excellent show! The music was absolutely beautiful and they chose to play songs from a variety of the games. There were humorous parts, and emotional parts, and overall was an outstanding performance! The only thing that would of made it better was to maybe have a light show along with the music. It would have just added to the atmosphere. Other than that, it couldn't have been any better!
