Saw in Houston 3 years ago. Even better this time around!!
Concert was fantastic! ! Amazing to see orchestra live!! Special guest were wonderful.
Everything about that night was perfect. It brought back so many memories. It was very well organized and not chaotic at all with the seating and crowds in general. Great job all around.
Was unbelievable. Got to see nobuo perform fantastically
I have been hoping to see the Distant Worlds concert for years now, but this is the first time it has come to the NY area since 2011. I had an amazing time and would recommend this show to anyone who has ever enjoyed a piece of music from a Final Fantasy game. Seeing the full orchestra perform pieces I remember fondly from my childhood was incredible! The performance was powerful and moving, and the sound at NJPAC is phenomenal. Conductor Arnie Roth does a fantastic job, and it was amazing to see him play the violin opposite Nobuo Uematsu on the keyboard. If you get the chance to see a Distant Worlds concert, don't miss it!
Love Final Fantasy Music and this concert was a treat. Many involve with the creation such as Nobuo Uematsu with music from different final fantasy concerts.
Amazing concert! I would love to see it again and again.
my fiancé and I have been wanting to see this show for years, and when we heard they were going to be local we did not hesitate to buy tickets. This show was absolutely amazing and they NEED to return to New Jersey. There was never a dull moment in during this performance.
Distant Worlds was amazing, beautiful music and setup. Definitely recommend NJPAC as well!
So much fun, excellent performance, amazing music, great surprises. So worth it.
I didn't know what to expect when I attended but I am glad I went, I've listened to those through the game and online so many times I've lost count but when I heard them played by the orchestra my jaw dropped, it was soo powerful that it brought tears of joy to my eyes it was for lack of a better word AMAZING. I would definitely see it again and again
Dream come true. This concert wasn't distant it was amazing. Something I'll remember for a life time.
NJPAC was a terrific venue for the Distant Worlds marathon. Both shows were simply amazing; Arnie Roth always does a great job; you can easily tell from his delivery that he loves doing Distant Worlds. Having Nobuo Uematsu, Rikki, and Susan Calloway all present was the perfect icing on greatest of cakes. The NJPAC staff was also very friendly and did a superb job organizing the meet and greet after the performance.
Although I never played FF, I've been listening to its music for years. This time I took my whole family to the event. My two boys Jay (2) and Max (5) were probably the youngest audience there. They really enjoyed the instruments, singing, animation and last but not least, friendly staff.
The venue was great and the floor seats were amazing. Everything about this event was amazing. Seeing Rikki perform Sutaki Dane was breath taking, this was simply the best time I've had in my life. I met Nobuo Uematsu!!!!
Uematsu-San makes wonderful music and a modern day Mozart.
Amazing show! Worth it for Nobuo Uematsu, amazing orchestra and visuals, and a fantastic venue!
The show is absolutely magnificent. This is the second time I've seen a Distant Worlds concert, and I already have tickets to see them again in 2 months. I've been a fan of the entire Final Fantasy Series for a long time, so I know all of the music very well. I went with a friend who had only played FF7 before. He LOVED the songs that he knew from FF7, but he was very impressed with not only the quality of the music from the other games, but with the visuals of those games. He said that being able to visually see some context as to what the music was representing for the games he had never played before made the whole experience better. He was able to make a connection even though he had never played the other games before. Everything about this show is fantastically done. Superb all around.
Anybody suffering from "Third-Life Crisis" will always long for the concluded "good old days" of yesteryear. It was a time where responsibilites were nil and discoveries were still fresh in the world. In this case, the world that Square Enix has created for decades was brilliantly showcased in this 2+ hr long event. Embracing every orchestrated melodies coming from Final Fantasy 1-14, one of the most arguably memorable moments was hearing "Suteki De Na" live from the original performer Rikki. In her first statewide appearance, her haunting voice and eloquence left me dazzled and utterly spellbound. I've been gleefully transported 10+ years back in time and honestly it's been a real struggle to return to the present. But why bother? Spreadsheets are a lousy substitute for a controller and unforgettable Final Fantasy music. This amazing event showcases what the power of nostalgia, red wine, and disposable income can do for you! Enjoy it now and look forward to what fun the "Mid-Life Crisis" can bring!
Fantastic music pieces from various FF generations, perfect for any FF fans. Seeing the legendary Nobuo Uematsu in person and Rikki's American debut performing "Suteki da ne" live on stage makes every penny spent worth.
