About

ALADDIN, one of Broadway's most extravagant spectacles, is on tour in a production that’s dazzling audiences across North America. Like the hit musical comedy that opened at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre in 2014 — and broke 14 New Amsterdam box-office records — ALADDIN’s touring production has been a runaway smash. Since launching its second national tour in October 2022, the touring production has perfectly embodied the Broadway show’s eye-popping illusions, glittering-gold costumes and stargazing rendition of “A Whole New World.” With music by Academy Award-winner Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and costuming by Tony Award-winner Gregg Barnes, ALADDIN is “Exactly What You Wish For!” (NBC-TV).

Great spectacle, a lot of fun

by IainK on 9/26/17Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Had a great time seeing Aladdin live. Anyone who enjoyed the animated movie is likely to also enjoy the play. There are some minor changes of course but the same general story and characters are there as well as the familiar songs. Several of the song/dance numbers are amazing, especially "Friend Like Me" set in the Cave of Wonders, an incredible set. Definitely worth the ticket price and I recommend checking it out.

    More humorous than expected

    by archer246 on 9/25/17Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Thoroughly enjoyed Aladdin at the Orpheum Minneapolis. The sets were amazing. Favorite moments were Friend Like Me and when the three friends go to save Aladdin. I laughed so hard so many times. My mother and husband enjoyed it as well. My 12 and 9 year old children had a great time. 9 year old was literally on the edge of his seat. My 12 year old laughed out loud with me. Only drawback was that the kids missed Abu and some of the new songs were a bit too sentimental for the kids' taste.

Beautiful show with unbelievable stage effects and costuming - extremely impressive. Would've liked the vocals to have been better - not the best but not bad.

A Whole New World of Excitement and Romance!

    by Phoenixstar92 on 9/25/17Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

For three years, I dreamed of seeing "Aladdin" on Broadway and when my wish was finally granted, I was overjoyed to find that it was far more splendid than I had ever imagined. It far exceeded my expectations. The stunning performances by Adam Jacobs and his fellow cast members really bring life to the characters and their singing is phenomenal. If that isn't enough, the special effects and background sets for the show are beyond spectacular. I loved every moment of the performance and I promise I will never forget it. Five stars!

    Fantastic Show with Incredible Costumes!

by nllarsen on 9/25/17Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

If you've ever seen the movie, you'll love this stage adaptation of the hit Disney musical Aladdin! It doesn't disappoint, and I would recommend it without hesitation. The scenery and set changes are remarkable, and the use of the entire stage was truly mystifying.

    Aladdin - A Spectacle You Won't Forget

by MeggieMouse on 9/25/17Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

The minute the musical starts, you will find yourself unwinding from your busy life. You can't help but have fun in this energy-filled, dazzling, laugh-out-loud musical. True to the movie but with new and fun twists, the musical follows charming Aladdin (thoughtful and honest), spunky Jasmine (an empowering figure for women), the absolutely incredible Genie, and all the other lovable characters we know (like the hilarious Iago - seriously, you will love him). And just wait for the unbelievable sights - the sets and "magic tricks" will blow you away.

    Fantastic!

    by gymjock86 on 9/25/17Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

My daughter and I went to Aladdin on 9/21. The show was fantastic. There were a couple songs not in the movie, which was a nice surprise. Anthony Murphy played the genie, which I think was the most difficult role, since he had to compete with what Robin Williams did in an animated film. Anthony pulled it off with great flair, humor, and fun. I would recommend this for anyone who likes musicals, Disney or not.

    THE MOST AMAZING PERFORMANCE

by BlackLeather on 9/24/17Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

The actors were so talented, both acting and singing. I loved the humor of Genie. The costumes were stunning. The set design was unreal. This is one of, if not the most, amazing performances I've ever seen.

    Girls Night with the Smalls

    by Folly1961 on 9/23/17Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Deciding to go was simple. Schedules however, were very busy. Date set & the 4 of us made it. The costume, choreography, MUSIC & acting met Broadway expectations. Disney is truly innovative in their background sets. There is s portion of set & sound design that failed our night. However, I am very impressed with Disney taking challenges like this!

    FABULOUS!!!!!

by berombe on 9/20/17Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Aladdin was amazingly FABULOUS!!!!! I am a long-time theatre goer and Aladdin is right up there with the best I have ever seen. It had it all! Music! Quality singing voices! Sets! Costumes! Dancing! Nuances! FABULOUS!!!! To quote me at intermission: "The second half of this musical could be awful and I would still love this production." As it turned out...the second half was as dynamic and entertaining as the first half. I was truly surprised that Aladdin was so great! My one child is grown and there are no other children in my family to bring to the theatre (I did call my 41 year old only child to tell him he HAD to get tickets to this production) In spite of having no children to bring to the theatre, this production was a complete entertaining romp for ALL adults.
