  • D23 Ultimate Fan Event (2024)

by Amanda on 8/29/24Rating: 5 out of 5

I was lucky enough to see Disney Princess The Concert at the D23 Ultimate Fan Event (2024), and the whole show was absolutely phenomenal! The song selection was great and even included some non-Princess songs (such as “I Won’t Say I’m in Love” from Hercules and a medley of villains songs). I’m not sure why some reviewers thought the performers would be dressed as Princesses as the show is advertised as featuring Broadway performs and not “character” performances. For D23, the cast included Susan Egan (voice of Megara from Hercules / Belle in Disney Beauty and the Beast on Broadway), Syndee Winters (Nala in Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway), Courtney Reed (Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway), Adam J. Levy (Broadway), hosted by Benjamin Rauhala (Broadway) with special appearances by Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel from Disney’s The Little Mermaid), Paige O’Hara (voice of Belle from Beauty and the Beast), and Coco Jones (Disney Channel star and music artist). Even though admission to the concert was part of the D23 event, I would absolutely pay money to see the concert again, it was that wonderful. If you love Disney music and amazing vocal performances, definitely get tickets for Disney Princess The Concert!

  • No princesses

by Riri on 4/23/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 3 out of 5

While the ladies that sang during the Disney Princess concert had beautiful voices, myself, my daughter, and my granddaughter were very disappointed that they were not dressed as the princesses. That was what we expected. What we watched was a movie that we could have seen on tv, with young ladies on stage singing along. I think all those little girls that came to the concert were expecting to see live, on stage, Belle, Elsa, Jasmine…… I know we were. We would not have come if we had known the concert was going to be as it was presented.

  • Very disappointed

We thought the actors/actresses would be dressed up as princesses and instead they wore the same dress the whole show.

  • Great voices, every song’s a banger

by DerekaLyn on 4/23/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

If you love Broadway voices and Disney music, this is a no-brainer. Great talent, great songs. Too many kids singing was distracting, but that’s not the show’s fault.

  • Not geared to audience

by Dawn on 4/23/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 1 out of 5

I expected princess character singing. A ton of little kids who were annoying. For the hour of performance and cost very disappointed in show and audience

  • Perfomers very good

by Linda on 4/23/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 4 out of 5

The performers were very good. Enjoyed their music. Music itself was too loud overshadowed the singers. The audience was not good. I do not know who was worse the kids or their parents. One parent let his girl run up and down the isle while the singers were performing. This is very distracting to everyone and very rude. I understand this is a concert that kids can enjoy but there is a line that can be crossed and it was by many people. I will say that many were very good.

  • Not what I expected

by Jessp on 4/20/24Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 3 out of 5

Performers were awesome , however we expected princesses. It was just a screen and singers , my 4 y/o asked the entire time when the princesses were coming. This is purely a musical and hold the little girls interest!!!!

  • Great show for all Disney lovers

by Broadwaygirl_13 on 4/20/24Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 4 out of 5

The show was fantastic. The harmonies were unbelievable. I loved the villain medley too. Each singer got a chance to shine in her own way. Only down side was the audio was not great. It seemed they used only their own speakers and did not tap into the theaters sound system at all. I was in the very last row of the theatre and it was hard to hear when they were speaking. The speed at which they were talking also didn't help. Possibly if they slowed down it would be more easily heard and understood.

  • Not Good

by Kel on 4/20/24Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 1 out of 5

I am extremely disappointed with the show. It is advertised as a princess show and there was not one princess there! My 4 year old was very upset because she thought she was going to see all of the princess’s on stage and none were there. There should have been every princess there live singing with clips in the background on the screen.

  • you could not hear anything except the loud music.

by Adrienne on 4/20/24Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 3 out of 5

We were not able to hear anything, except for the loud music in the balcony seats. You should really have speakers up there. The show was beautiful though!
