  • Disney on ice -

by iokalena on 10/22/13Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 3 out of 5

Passport to adventure was an entertaining show. It had its moments but not quite as spectacular as the ones past. Perhaps it is because the others were centered around one specific theme, e.g. The princesses. I also felt the skating was average nothing grand as anticipated. My niece enjoyed it but she is looking forward to the next production "Rockin' ever after."

  • Looked more like a school play rehersal

by heredero on 10/22/13Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 2 out of 5

I was really excited to take my 4 year old son to this event. During the week I rented the movies that were going to be portrait so he was familiar with them and he could enjoy the show. My son did enjoy the show. But I had to keep him engaged. I had to tell him to look at this and look at that. After the show I asked him about it and he told me that Peter Pan was flying with wires and that Ursula and the Crocodile were balloons. He was not excited or pumped up. The ice skating was very basic nothing spectacular. The acting was terrible. It feel like going to a school play but more expensive. Some of the performers looked really bored and no into what they were doing Honestly I am very disappointed. For a production that tours all over this was very low quality. Before the event I read some of the reviews and there was one that sounded like this and I thought that the person who wrote it was bitter but actually I have seen local theater presentations better than this one.

  • Vintage (ie: old) Disney show

by MyraL on 10/22/13Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 2 out of 5

If you're looking to watch a Disney show with older characters, this may be your cup of tea. I didn't think the whole show would have all new Disney characters, but I was hoping for a few more recent ones than lilo and stitch (which was from over 10 years ago). The show had the mickey mouse clubhouse characters, little mermaid, lion king, lilo and stitch and peter pan. There may have been a few others, but those are the majority. The lilo and stitch and peter pan segments were by far the longest. I don't know if it was because these were the movies with characters who had an easier time skating, but to me, it was a bit boring, and my 3 year old son got bored with them also. I wish the mmc characters would've skated around for longer than 10 mins, but I guess the show creators didn't think that would be fun for the audience. I know for my son, he would've enjoyed seeing mickey and his characters more than peter pan and the extended lilo and stitch segment. I also wish they would've had characters from toy story or cars; though I can imagine having cars skating around would've been difficult. Rapunzel and any other princesses would've been nice too, but there were none! I felt bad for the kids who were dressed up as princesses or as toy story characters and didn't get to see them at all. Disney/Ticketmaster needs to give a better description of this show, so parents can decide if they want to go. In the future, if there is no description, I don't think my family will attend. Also - as with anything related to Disney, parking was ridiculous. $35! and Popcorn was $13! highway robbery. I am disappointed in the show and also disappointed in the cost of all the extras (though I really shouldn't be surprised). If you want to take your kids to a show with 'vintage' (and not in a good way) characters, this is the show for you.

  • Not worth it

    by EGS2012 on 10/22/13Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 2 out of 5

My daughter and I have been going to Disney On Ice for the last 5 years and this last one was disappointing. It was shorter than usual and there were no new characters or presentations. It a little bland and boring! The other major issue is parking, $35 to park at Oracle Arena! Seriously, I'm not sure we are going back next year.

  • It could have been better.

I have been to other Disney events and they are exciting! This one was ok, not very entertaining for adults, I personally couldn't wait for it to be over because i was bored. The characters also didn't seem like they themselves were very into it. seemed like they were just going through the motions. Won't be going to that one again if it comes back.

  • Great show, wish it was a bit less "adult"

by SanFranciscoResident on 10/22/13Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 4 out of 5

Great show, kids loved it. But I and I think the kids as well were a bit taken back by some sensual scenes between the actors. Some scenes during Lion king or Little mermaid felt uncomfortable being next to your 8 and 5 year olds.

  • Disney On Ice Passport to Adventure was great!

by Brtzmom on 10/22/13Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 4 out of 5

10 of my family members and I went and had a great time! Love the costumes and stories. Peter Pan was a little long though and started losing the kids interest as well as mine, but other than that it was great!

  • Great, but ...

    by Iria00 on 10/22/13Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 4 out of 5

Great but all the souvenirs and food were totally overpriced. So was parking. $35 for parking? I don't pay that much for Cirque! And BART was shut down, too. $12 for cotton candy???? I also wished they had picked something else aside from Peter Pan. My daughter began getting bored as the old school finale rolled out.

  • We always have a great time

by DebbNevv on 10/22/13Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 4 out of 5

The kids had a wonderful time. Our seats were great. It's always fun to see the kids dancing and involved in the moment. It wasn't packed and overcrowed... because of the Bart strike here... and I actually liked the fact that we could get in easily and get out. We will always go to Disney on Ice.

by Cheriela on 10/21/13Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

I love the show. There were a lot of classic Disney movies in the show. I love The Little Mermaid. It is my favorite cartoon since I was young.

  • Disney On Ice : Passport was outstanding!!!

by ladiidynastii on 10/21/13Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

Every scene was filled with great performers. They were acted out just as in the movies. The music, the dancing, the light effects were all performed and coordinated properly. My daughter and I had a blast, She loves Disney so much and I look forward to taking her and a few others again next year!

by abri on 10/21/13Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

my grandson had a WONDERFUL time, as did I. the talent, the colors, the way the stories were presented, were outstanding.

  • by Anonymous on 10/21/13Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 3 out of 5

The show while entertaining, did not keep the interest of the children. The portion with LIlo and Stitch was boring.

  • A Truly fun adventure!

by DiwonderNana on 10/20/13Sleep Train Arena - SacramentoRating: 4 out of 5

Although it wasn't the best Disney on Ice that I have ever been to, and I have gone once or twice a year for as long as I can remember, it was a fun adventure. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with young children. Both my grandson and granddaughter enjoyed seeing Mickie and Minnie and their friends introducing each new part of the show. We are already planning on seeing the new Disney on Ice with Merida from Brave as my granddaughter will be her for Halloween this year. Thank you.

  • Disney on ice was good.

by Diyakaur on 10/20/13Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 4 out of 5

The show was good. I noticed that when the show covered recent characters or princess and movies the audience were very happy and engaged. On the other hand when the show covered Peter Pan and LILO and Stitch the. The audience lost interest. And we're board. I wish they would just stick to the popular princesses.
