About

Don’t miss the strictly limited engagement of The New York Times CRITICS’ PICK that the Associated Press calls “guaranteed laughs and side-splittingly funny” and Entertainment Weekly declares is “delightful and ingenious!”  It is "the funniest show since THE BOOK OF MORMON!” (Z100)

Set in the wildest decade ever, DISASTER! delivers earthquakes, tidal waves, infernos and unforgettable hits like “Knock On Wood,” “Hooked On A Feeling,” “Sky High,” “I Am Woman” and “Hot Stuff” with a cast of Broadway Tony® Award winning stars of Rent, Rock of Ages, Hairspray, Xanadu, Guys and Dolls and The Producers.

Don’t just take our word for it. See for yourself why audiences and critics are wild for this hilarious homage to the era of bellbottoms, platform shoes and the hustle. From the moment the glitter ball starts spinning you’ll be dancing in your seat…and rolling in the aisles.

    Tons of Fun!

by Tracie255 on 5/3/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

Disaster! was so much fun! I was rocking in my seat, laughing and singing along. I didn't know much about the show or or the storyline, which I was nervous about because I like to know what to expect, but it didn't matter because we were to busy laughing and singing.

Not your average Boredway musical; Thank God

by JimboOfOld on 5/3/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

Do youself a favor. If you crave Rap music, don't see Disaster. If you crave, meowing cats, do not see Disaster; if you crave musicals based on Disney characters, do no see disaster. If you are musical snob, stay with something else. But if you wish to be completely entertained with side splitting laughter, spend the money. Where else can you see a nun be so raunchy? (Dont' answer that!).

    a potential theatrical disaster

by davidinorlando on 5/2/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

Number One: I started the evening angry that Roger Bart (formerly a favorite) was a no-show, just like he was the night I saw "The Producers" many years ago. My FULL price seat was terrible; although it was an aisle seat, there was a handgrip bar attached to my seat, making it even tighter than it was already. This show is ok, so similar to the former "Forbidden Broadway" series.

    Cried laughing!!

by Renthead621 on 5/2/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

I saw Disaster in previews in Feb and I had to see it again after the opening and I have to say that it was funnier the second time. I laughed so hard, I cried. The entire cast really nailed it. Faith Prince was, as usual, hilarious. Adam Pascal showed another side of him than we are used to and I loved it. His voice was on point as usual. Baylee Litrell really stood out as twins Ben and Lisa and Jennifer Simard killed me as the gambling addicted nun. Seth Rudetsky not only wrote an amazing show, but put together a killer cast. Brava.

Very cute. Ensemble cast was terrific

by Wagsalot on 5/2/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

Really enjoyed seeing faith prince again. Hadn't seen her since I saw her in guys and dolls. The show was a big spoof with lots of 70s songs woven into the scripts. Seats were excellent - front row center

    Nothin Like It

by ropeburns57 on 5/1/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

We thought we loved The Book of Mormon, but after seeing Disaster this is the most outstanding musical comedy my spouse and I have attended. All the singers had fantastic voices and performed superbly. Creativity was at it's highest with Disaster! Everyone should see this musical.

by Luretta on 5/1/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

    Laughed til it hurt

by DannysCousin on 4/29/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

Disaster was absolutely perfect! Light hearted and fun. I laughed so hard I cried...so many times, my mascara was gone. If you love the 70's party music, it's perfect. If you love subtle, sarcastic humor, it's perfect. If you always suspected your nuns were far from perfect, it's perfect! Such a great time...just loved it.

    Not quite a disaster

by Capejj on 4/29/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

This show was packed with talent and great vocals. The show itself was very amateurish and would not be in local theaters, never mind Broadway without such a strong cast and Seth's influence. There were a few fun moments, but could have been hysterical with better writing and staging. I suggest" Something Rotten" for brilliant writing and great entertainment if it's a comedy you're looking to see.

by WendyR9323 on 4/28/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

This is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen on Broadway. It was so clever and listening to the music of my youth was so much fun. Seth Rudesky is a marvel. Would see it many times over.

    Disaster

by Catroina on 4/27/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

Had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The play was intelligently written, had amazing wit and the production was top notch. The music was incredible and the songs had you moving with the actors on stage. Everyone in the cast did a wonderful job and I have to say what a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

    "Disaster!" was far from one!

by Whittler on 4/26/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

I laughed convulsively at this show! I was born in the early 1960s, so all the songs from the 1970s took me back to my middle and high school years. If you enjoy campy humor at all, you will be delighted at every turn. Book your tickets NOW!

by SunflwrGirl on 4/26/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

The writing, acting brought the house down. One of my favorite Broadway shows by far. A must feel good play you must see that takes you back to your favorite 70's tunes.
