The Fox Theater is not only gorgeous, but the sound is spectacular! The Dirty Projectors are incredible harmonizers with angelic voices. One of the best shows I've ever been too!

Rating: 5 out of 5 Tickled my brain!
by Nickolass on 7/29/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandWye oak's performance was much better than I expected after having listened to a couple of there songs before the show. The drummer/keyboard/bassist was very talented. The Dirty Projectors were AMAZING! Holy mother of god that music moved my soul. The harmony's and straight musical talent that bands has. The band is a billion times better live. There new album is awesome. Highly recommend watching this band. I was talking to the security guy who was heavily into metal music and even he was blown away. The atmosphere was great too.
Rating: 2 out of 5by Anonymous on 7/29/12Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland Hadn't listened to them before. I could tell they were good musicians, but it seemed sloppy. The sound set up was optimized for pure noise, so it was difficult to understand what was playing when. Started with the most well known song, then continued to increasingly esoteric songs. Very little interaction with the audience. If you know them you might've enjoyed the show, but unfortunately I did not.

Rating: 5 out of 5 too good to be true!
by greatbalddanny on 7/12/12Celebrate Brooklyn at the Prospect Park Bandshell - BrooklynI love all of the Dirty Projectors albums, but hadn't heard them live until this. The week before the concert, I was hyping to anyone who would listen about how awesome it was going to be. Thankfully, they lived up to the hype and more! Go see them and don't think twice about it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 A perfect evening.
by palacemuse on 7/12/12Celebrate Brooklyn at the Prospect Park Bandshell - BrooklynAll three bands were fantastic, each one sounding better than last. Prices for drinks and shirts were very reasonable. I even got a free 7" from The Dirty Projectors. The crowd was kind and relaxed - a line for the bathrooms was just spontaneously formed. I loved the venue and the show.

by Anonymous on 7/12/12Celebrate Brooklyn at the Prospect Park Bandshell - BrooklynGreat show, chill crowd. Surprisingly good sound for an outdoor show. All topped off by great weather on a relatively cool summer evening.m
Rating: 5 out of 5 Dirty Projectors killed it
by arrjcee on 7/12/12Celebrate Brooklyn at the Prospect Park Bandshell - BrooklynThese guys were spot on all show. Incredible guitars, unthinkably complex drumming, and of course jawdropping co-ed harmonies. Dirty Projectors are one of the best live acts going right now. FYI you don't need to know their music well to have a great time.
Rating: 4 out of 5by Anonymous on 7/12/12Celebrate Brooklyn at the Prospect Park Bandshell - Brooklyn Dirty Projectors were amazing!! Not sure why Purity Ring only played for like 30 min in the beginning. Got there a little late because we expected them to have at least an hour set.
Rating: 5 out of 5 perfection in the park
by philosophicalninja on 7/12/12Celebrate Brooklyn at the Prospect Park Bandshell - BrooklynAs though even the heat needed to give pause to listen, the night brought in a gentle breeze. Dirty Projectors put on a show to raise spirits, generate awe, and inspire even the most dejected. This group of supremely talented individuals are taking influences from across myriad genres and creating a sound all their own, pushing popular music into corners that they are then bursting into open, brightly colored canyons. In a word, Incredible.
Rating: 5 out of 5 great band, great show
by breadstick on 7/12/12Celebrate Brooklyn at the Prospect Park Bandshell - BrooklynThey're so much more incredible live than on the album. Everything they do is flawless, the harmonies were heaven sent
Rating: 5 out of 5 Goosebumps aplenty.
by Kateeeeee on 7/12/12Celebrate Brooklyn at the Prospect Park Bandshell - BrooklynThe concert was beautiful, moving, exciting, and inspiring. The lights -- which I've never before cared about at concerts -- were really intelligently coordinated with the music. So much energy and brilliance in their music. I loved it!
Rating: 5 out of 5by Anonymous on 7/12/12Celebrate Brooklyn at the Prospect Park Bandshell - Brooklyn Un--believable. The new album is even better live.
Rating: 5 out of 5 (Second) Best Concert Ever
by dzpow on 7/12/12Celebrate Brooklyn at the Prospect Park Bandshell - BrooklynSecond to the previous night at MHOW, which was undoubtedly the best show I've ever seen. These guys are INSANE live. Tightest thing I've ever seen, energized and exciting. The fans all know all the songs, too, and the crowd is so stoked for every song, even the ones they haven't heard before.
Rating: 4 out of 5by Marquessaid on 7/11/12Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn One of my favorite venues in NY for its intimacy. Dirty Projectors owned the whole space playing classics from their last album and songs from their new album.
