About

Dirty Heads are a reggae rock band from Huntington Beach, California. Consisting of lead vocalists and founders Jared Watson (Dirty J) and Dustin Bushnell (Duddy B), along with percussionist Jon Olazabal, drummer Matt Ochoa and bassist David Foral, the band was formed in 2001 and immediately evoked the spirit of bonfire barbeques and summer road trips. Dirty Heads’ appeal is rooted in the infectious reggae grooves of songs like 2017’s “Vacation,” which became a viral hit in 2021 as the sound behind the #VacationTransition trend on TikTok. The band’s breakthrough hit was another “song of the summer” contender: “Lay Me Down” (feat. Rome of Sublime with Rome), which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs and Rock Songs charts. In 2021, the band released The Best of Dirty Heads, a compilation album featuring Travis Barker, Aimee Interrupter of The Interrupters, Matisyahu, Train, Tech N9ne and Rome. Dirty Heads have hit the road with artists such as 311, O.A.R., Gym Class Heroes and Lupe Fiasco, and more.

  • Great concert

by Aa on 7/22/24Jiffy Lube Live - BristowRating: 3 out of 5

The concert was absolutely wonderful, my only complaint is it was so hot, our drinks/beers were warm within 10 minutes. We asked for a cup of ice, and we were told no because they keep inventory on their cups. They wouldn’t even sell us a cup of ice. I think that’s a bit ridiculous . Do better jiffy line live venue!!!

  • Amazing!

by Ryan on 7/22/24Jiffy Lube Live - BristowRating: 5 out of 5

All of the bands sounded so great and I loved the collaborations that happened. The crowd was super chill and happy. Would have loved an encore. The sound was also just right. Not too loud, not too soft. Would recommend the bands and the venue.

  • Amazing!!!

by Nick on 7/22/24Jiffy Lube Live - BristowRating: 5 out of 5

By far the best concert I have ever been to. All bands were fantastic and Dirty Heads just blew it out of the water. Had such a great time we bought tickets to go again when they are in Virginia Beach this tour.

  • Solid

by 304 Goon on 7/22/24Jiffy Lube Live - BristowRating: 4 out of 5

Solid concert , loved the first 3 bands and Dirty heads was ok. Like last years Sublime with Rome and slightly Stoopid a little better. But all around good show. The security in the parking lot are definitely buzz kills as well

  • Enjoyable

by Ten on 7/22/24Jiffy Lube Live - BristowRating: 5 out of 5

This is the second time I've been to this venue and both times it's been extremely enjoyable. Better venue than some I've been to. Will definitely keep going even though I drive a 4 hour round trip to go.

  • Good times 🎶

by Amos on 7/22/24Jiffy Lube Live - BristowRating: 5 out of 5

We had a great time watching The Dirty Heads, The Elovaters, Common Kings and Slightly Stoopid!! All four bands put on a great show. My teenagers, 16 and 14, said they’d like to go to another show the next time any of the bands played locally, which is a HUGE compliment. Looking forward to next time!

  • Outstanding show

by KCJ on 7/22/24Jiffy Lube Live - BristowRating: 5 out of 5

This will be our third show seeing Dirty Heads and Slightly Stupid...I swear they just get better and better as the years go by. First time for us catching the Elovators and Common Kings... we were blown away...we've even discussed catching another show on this tour. Can't wait 7ntil they're local again!

  • Go back to Merrieweather or Secu Pavillion.

Bands were great. Jiffy Lube live is not. It's impossible to get to in rush hour traffic.

  • Great Concert!

    by Cmo622 on 7/22/24Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater - BridgeportRating: 5 out of 5

The concert from start to finish was amazing! A truly enjoyable experience... all the musicians were talented and they sounded exactly as they did on the radio. The venue is one of the best, if not the best, that I've every seen a concert at!

  • Great Venue, bad sound

by Cali-Reggae Fan on 7/21/24Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater - BridgeportRating: 4 out of 5

I thought the Elovators were the best! They sounded great, interacted with the audience and their music is awesome. I love Slightly Stoopid but they have terrible sound. This is my 3rd show seeing them and each show has just had the worst sound: can barely hear the vocals (Miles is virtually mute with their sound-people) and way too much reverb. There were only 2 horns this show and that was noticeable. It's a shame since the music is great and I think they're amazing musicians but they need a whole new sound-crew. Dirty Heads were great. A very tight band. Awesome staging. But Dudes: interact with the audience a bit, talk to us a little. And what happened to "Cabin by the Sea"?!?!?!? Amphitheater is a great venue. Other shows had better sound though. Drink prices are ridiculously high.

  • I came to see Slightly Stoopid and wish I saw more of them

Dirty heads were good but I came to see Slightly Stoopid and wish I saw more of them.

Beautiful, clean venue, all bands performed the their highest ability and were engaged with the crowd. All of tell bands played a well rounded amount if their songs. I had a blast!

  • Great show!

by Marc on 7/18/24PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 5 out of 5

Just an all around good time and great show, PNC is a fantastic venue without a bad seat to be found

  • Elovaters, Common Kings, Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads

by Anonymous on 7/16/24PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 3 out of 5

It was a good show, but I was pretty disappointed that I missed the elovaters. It was a few minutes before 6:30 by the time I had gotten into the venue and their set was just coming to an end. They were the whole reason I went to the show. Everyone else played a great show, but I had already seen all 3 bands in the past. I definitely left disappointed.

  • Best show ever !!

Seats. Performance. Everything about this show went above my expectations. Such a great night!!

  • Awesome energy from these guys!

by Brett on 7/15/24PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 5 out of 5

Had an awesome time here. Did not even know The Dirty Heads music too well, but they put on an absolutely amazing show and had the whole crowd revved up and participating during a bunch of high energy songs. Had 2 guys playing brass and 2 keyboards which really added so many layers of sound. Truly awesome show. Worth going to see.

  • My sweet summer is gone…

by Lisa Vecch on 7/15/24PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 1 out of 5

What the heck happened Dirty Heads? You started off strong and then it went downhill very fast all the way from there. I tried to stay for the encore. Kept waiting for it to get better. It didn’t. I unfortunately surmise that they are a studio band. I like their music and this is the second time I’ve heard them live and both times it was not good.

  • Great venue
