About

Dirty Heads are a reggae rock band from Huntington Beach, California. Consisting of lead vocalists and founders Jared Watson (Dirty J) and Dustin Bushnell (Duddy B), along with percussionist Jon Olazabal, drummer Matt Ochoa and bassist David Foral, the band was formed in 2001 and immediately evoked the spirit of bonfire barbeques and summer road trips. Dirty Heads’ appeal is rooted in the infectious reggae grooves of songs like 2017’s “Vacation,” which became a viral hit in 2021 as the sound behind the #VacationTransition trend on TikTok. The band’s breakthrough hit was another “song of the summer” contender: “Lay Me Down” (feat. Rome of Sublime with Rome), which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs and Rock Songs charts. In 2021, the band released The Best of Dirty Heads, a compilation album featuring Travis Barker, Aimee Interrupter of The Interrupters, Matisyahu, Train, Tech N9ne and Rome. Dirty Heads have hit the road with artists such as 311, O.A.R., Gym Class Heroes and Lupe Fiasco, and more.

  • Great Venue/Vibe- Slightly Dirty Summer 2024 @Daily's Place

by Gia on 8/5/24Daily's Place - JacksonvilleRating: 4 out of 5

I really loved Daily's place because it was so hot and they had fans, as well as seating. Honestly, I would have loved to see The Elovators with an expanded set, but they stole the show for me. Common Kings were great, as I had never seen them perform before. The Dirty Heads/Slightly Stoopid set had amazing production, but the mics were off at times. They played so well, video was great, pyrotechnics and other theatrics were also really good for setting the tone. It was a great show overall. Would love to be able to pre-order merch for shows and wish the feature acts had more merch or even music for sale.

  • nice venue except for acoustics, band was awesome

by Bobr on 8/4/24Daily's Place - JacksonvilleRating: 2 out of 5

Acoustics really bad, felt my sternum vibrate with each precision. Could not recognize the words or the tone of voice of the artists I know well. Bands were awesome and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Great facility otherwise.

by Food / Gluten Free Options on 8/4/24Daily's Place - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Concert amazing. The band is awesome. Only downside is the food at the venue. No gluten free options. Need more gluten free options.

  • Awesome show!

Had an incredible time at show at Daily's Place. All bands had great energy. Awesome vibe throughout whole show. Can't wait to see them again.

  • Awesome!!

by Zoo on 8/4/24Daily's Place - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

All I can say is this show was a banger! Highly recommend these bands to any one. Play all types of different genres but mostly reggae rock

  • Poor Audio

    by Starscream615 on 8/4/24Daily's Place - JacksonvilleRating: 3 out of 5

I don’t know if this is more the venues fault but the sound quality was horrible. Most lyrics could not be heard and there was so much distortion it was hard for my wife and I to figure out which song was playing until 20 or 30 seconds had passed.

  • So much fun!

  • Great show

by Kevin Byrd on 7/29/24Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

Went to Coastal Credit Union Amphitheatre at Walnut Creek In Raleigh and was pleasantly surprised! Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads, Common Kings and the Elovators were all great, sound quality and cleanliness of the venue were impressive to say the least! We had early entry and VIP tickets, which was a great experience! The Live Nation host, McKenna and staff were professional and knowledgeable, and we will definitely be back to Raleigh for a future show! Thank you!

  • Great venue ok show

by Matt on 7/29/24Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - RaleighRating: 4 out of 5

The venue at Walnut creek is amazing. Very well organized and easy to get out at the end of the show. The fans above the seats helped keep air moving and was very comfortable even in the heat and humidity. The show itself was OK. I am a big Dirty Heads fan and wish they wouldn't have so many openers. The first two bands were not that great. Dirty Heads has such a large song library that they should just do a double set show, or at least trim down the openers so we can vibe out to a longer Dirty Heads set. Other than that it was good.

  • Best eva!

by Kelly on 7/29/24Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was the best I've nbeen to in a long time. Slightly Stoopid was amazing as well as Common Kings and the Elovators. And when the all collaborated it was phenomenal! Dirty Heads killed it! I've seen them 4 times and this was by far the best. Keep getting better every time. Can't wait til the next one!

  • Dirty No-Show!!

by They were a NO-SHOW!!! on 7/29/24Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - RaleighRating: 1 out of 5

No-show!! Didn't say anything during concert! I should really ask for some money back! And do a sound check while concert is on in middle of stadium! Very bad! Can't hear words to music, as music was overpowering!

  • Dirty Heads rocked the house!

by Bridges37 on 7/29/24Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

I see Dirty Heads every time they come to town, and they did NOT disappoint! Given the time constraint, since there were so many bands, they performed all of my favorite songs! If you every get a chance to see these, guys take it!

  • Dirty Head in Raleigh

by Alicia on 7/29/24Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

This is the 2nd time I’ve seen The Dirty Heads! They always put on an amazing show!! This time I took my son for his very first concert. We had lawn seats originally but met this wonderful woman who upgraded our seats to front row!!! It was an amazing first time experience for my son and he hasn’t stopped talking about the concert! Thank you Live Nation & Dirty Heads for a great night (:

  • Unforgettable Shows

by Katlyne on 7/29/24Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

The amount of energy that Dirty Heads bring to the stage is incredible. When they play, it’s like the rest of the problems in the world goes away. I’ve been lucky enough to catch 2 shows this tour and the 2nd show I took my father to who never heard the band before. He walked away impressed with the quality of the show and the atmosphere that the fans bring. The line up for this tour is incredible starting with The Elovaters. For anyone else going to this tour, please make sure to get there early and check out the other musicians, you will NOT be disappointed.

  • 2024 Jiffy Lube Live

Seats in section 305. Great view of the stage. Employees at venue were kind and accommodating. Show was fantastic!

  • Amazing

by Heather on 7/24/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - CamdenRating: 5 out of 5

Everything was great besides the merch and beer being to expensive to afford.

  • Delays on Sunday

by Heather on 7/24/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - CamdenRating: 4 out of 5

Hi - the concert was lots of fun - but, there seemed to be a long delay before Dirty Heads started - none of the other acts had a delay between them. This pushed the concert back longer than most people would want on a Sunday night - maybe more mindful of this especially for Sunday shows. Also, the food and beverage costs are astronomical at the venue - and we can't bring anything in - not cool and will likely deter people from attending in the future. $16 for a basket of fries is insane.

  • Always amazing concerts

by BC on 7/23/24Jiffy Lube Live - BristowRating: 5 out of 5

Always love going to Dirty Heads concerts! They always put on a good show and keep it hype with good energy the whole time!
