About

Dirty Heads are a reggae rock band from Huntington Beach, California. Consisting of lead vocalists and founders Jared Watson (Dirty J) and Dustin Bushnell (Duddy B), along with percussionist Jon Olazabal, drummer Matt Ochoa and bassist David Foral, the band was formed in 2001 and immediately evoked the spirit of bonfire barbeques and summer road trips. Dirty Heads’ appeal is rooted in the infectious reggae grooves of songs like 2017’s “Vacation,” which became a viral hit in 2021 as the sound behind the #VacationTransition trend on TikTok. The band’s breakthrough hit was another “song of the summer” contender: “Lay Me Down” (feat. Rome of Sublime with Rome), which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs and Rock Songs charts. In 2021, the band released The Best of Dirty Heads, a compilation album featuring Travis Barker, Aimee Interrupter of The Interrupters, Matisyahu, Train, Tech N9ne and Rome. Dirty Heads have hit the road with artists such as 311, O.A.R., Gym Class Heroes and Lupe Fiasco, and more.

  • Dirty heads rocked it once agann

This was my third time seeing DH but first time at the grove. When I found out GCH was not going to be there, it did bother me at all. Theyre a great band but I was going for DH strictly. Brought three new people with my husband and I and they said they would definitely be back to see DH again. Amazing vocals, performance, crowd pleasing, atmosphere and music.

  • Freaking amazing, as usual

As far as the openers go, Pacific Dub generally steals my heart. I love those guys so much. Although, I must say that I was highly disappointed that Bryce (their ab-tastic guitarist was not sporting a yellow tank which we have a love/hate relationship with). Wallpaper was a pleasant surprise! They seemed to turn the entire crowd into a house party with just one song! The second we got home, we downloaded their album. The Dirty Heads rocked the house, for sure. They exposed us to some of their new music as well as playing the songs we all love. Meet some nice girls, rapped with my best friend and some strangers. The Dirty Heads always provide the perfect situation for meeting new people. Kudos!

The Dirty Heads put on a great show!!! They played a lot of new material from an upcoming album, so the crowd wasn't into it as much as usual, just because they didn't know the songs. The new stuff sounded great though. This is my 4th time seeing the Dirty Heads and I will be back for more.

by mommababb on 11/11/11Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

This was an amazing experience beginning to end. Meet and Greet proved the guys are as laid back as you might believe. After that the show was incredible, there where lots of songs from new album. Still looking for a release date on that! AND ... obviously ... Dirty J make ya' tilt your head to the left and let his rhyme time fill it.

  • Amazing Show!

This was my 3rd Dirty Heads show and it was the best yet. Because they love Colrado so much they put on a great show here. They are so much fun! They played many new songs that haven't been released yet.
