Dirty Dancing Tickets

After being so disappointed in the tv version of our favorite movie, we were apprehensive about this version. But hold on... They did a bang up job. From the casting, the music and especially the dancing, we loved it. They nailed the final scene beautifully. Www

Dirty Dancing was so disappointing! Acting was poor and the dancing was mediocre.

The actors were very good, good singers and actors. The story line was very close to the movie. The music was not the original music from the movie, overall the experience was mediocre, after all once you see the movie no stage production will hold a candle to it. Sorry I would not recommend you run out to see this show.

The actors, actresses and dancers were great. I loved it.

The musical was awesome, I was singing with the music but not out loud, very nostalgic. It was on point especially the last dance.

This show was pretty cool and almost exact to the movie, very enjoyable.

The dancers' talent and the excellent vocalists were amazing. I've emailed out of town friends to be on the lookout and buy tickets early. I'd go again just to see what I might have missed!

Dirty Dancing is my favorite movie, so I was obviously SUPER excited about seeing it on stage. I’ve seen it a thousand times, so I noticed every detail that wasn’t exactly like the movie, but they got the important things right. I loved how they expounded on the relationships amongst the family and added more internal conflict with Neil. Nobody puts Baby in a corner!!! Loved, loved, LOVED it! Really enjoyed myself.

I was afraid this Dirty Dancing production could not live up to the movie! Wrong! My daughter and I LOVED it! The music kept us singing...the dancing was awesome! Would go see it again!

It was so bad we left at intermission. The sound system was so poor we could not hear the spoken words. The music was awful. The sets were terrible. If I had not seen the movie I would not have been able to understand the plot. Worst production I've ever seen.

Since 1975, I have attended shows in theaters across the country. New York to Las Vegas, Memphis, New Orleans, Jackson. I love Broadway and have a deep appreciation for the cast and musicians and producers and directors. That being said, it is difficult for me to give this review but this production was terrible. I couldn't find a person sitting near us that felt different. Let me also say, I did not expect the movie. Just as I did not expect the plays for Grease or the Sound of Music to match the movies. The cast was bland.The dialogue was forced. The new civil rights portion was out of place. And giving the mother dialogue was ridiculous. She was meant to be a 1960s housewife that stayed home and kept house and remained oblivious to what was going on outside of her eldest daughters search for a husband and honeymoon destination. There was little to no emotion portrayed by the cast. They seemed bored and uninterested. The dance numbers lacked enthusiasm. The acoustics in the theater were terrible. I truly am sorry to say all this but, for me, this was a complete waste of money and time.

Was even more than I had expected! Dancing was awesome! What a great production!
