Even though the concert was rescheduled, Demetri was totally worth the wait! He was charming, witty, and wildly talented. He handled the hecklers with class. Why would anyone heckle Demetri??? We love you in Saint Louis, Demetri! Please come back soon!!!

    Seriously Funny

by dsamanne on 7/14/09The Pageant - St Louis

Demetri Martin was great. He had some favorite jokes from his show sprinkled in to a set of hilarious observations. Unlike a lot of standup I've seen, he kept firing with really good material throughout the show so there were no dead spots. He was able to engage the crowd and maintained a show that felt spontaneous. The flow was remarkably smooth and the material was all seriously funny. I'll hit his shows whenever he's in the area!

by Pitstop on 7/13/09State Theatre - Minneapolis

He put on a fabulous show and his encore was great. It was terrific that he came back on stage and took requests and answered questions. I would go back to see his show again in a heartbeat.

During Q & A : "What about an alligator?"(DEMETRI) "No! What are you doing later?" (LADIES SHOUTING FROM BALCONY) "Oh. It would have been so much cooler if you would have said something about an alligator." (DEMETRI)

    Modern Day Steven Wright

by ERotten on 7/13/09State Theatre - Minneapolis

We thoroughly enjoyed Demetri's show. It is refreshing to watch a commedian whose material is mostly "family friendly" and doesn't rely on vulgar humor. The many brief observations of life vs. the long story-telling keeps the show moving. I would highly recommend this show to others!

    Martin was Awesome!

by BornToLaugh on 7/13/09State Theatre - Minneapolis

I went to this show expecting to hear the same old Demetri Martin I had heard a thousand times before (a few friends of mine are fanatics) but he delivered an assortment of clever, new jokes that had me laughing in my seat the entire time. His impromptu comments and interaction with the audience provide him with an unlimited number of original jokes. Will definitely see if I have the opportunity again.

    Demitri = Funny

by manoftheday on 7/13/09Uptown Theater - Kansas City

At one point, I stopped laughing because it was too funny and I was overwhelmed. I'm also pretty sure that my date that night was turned off by my uncontrollable laughter...

by brainmapper on 7/13/09The Pageant - St Louis

After starting a bit late, Demetri came out with no opening act, and proceeded to crack the audience up for over 90 minutes.

I bought the tickets as an Anniversary gift for my parents (the three of us went) because my dad loves Demetri's sense of humor. It was worth every penny spent. Demetri was hilarious as usual and put on a great show. I will definately get tickets again the next time he comes to MN!!

    A lot of enjoyment

by KLane on 7/13/09The Pageant - St Louis

Really enjoyed this event! He arrived on stage a little late, but when he did, he made up for it. He used some of his older material but was great at improving with items in the room, people and more! There were a lot of laughs.

    Demetri Martin was hilarious!

by Elizlovessomejokes on 7/13/09The Pageant - St Louis

Demetri Martin was very funny. You will laugh from the moment the show starts till it's over. Everything was wonderful from the regular stand up jokes, sketches, and the music too. There were some of the classic sets that were featured on Important Things With Demetri Martin, tons of new stuff, and some audience inspired improv. This show was pee-in-your-pants funny.

    Loved Demetri Martin..Duh

by Stac110 on 7/13/09Uptown Theater - Kansas City

I had never been to the Uptown Theater before, but I can say that after watching Demetri Martin's performance that I will never forget it. I went with my best friend and after the show the remainder of the evening consisted of remembering as many jokes and quips from his comedy genius. I loved how he allowed the audience to ask questions after his show, but the only annoying part was a few females kept bugging him about his personal life. "Are you single?!" "Where are you going after the show?!" Stay out of his personal life. Enjoy his show! His ability to entertain so easily!

    What a treat!!

by muggleshiedelbarbie on 7/13/09Uptown Theater - Kansas City

The venue was old and beautiful and for that fact I forgave it for not having the best acoustics. We were in the balcony and could not see Demetri's drawing pad at all, but he described everything pretty well. I took my brother and 11 yr old daughter and was a bit apprehensive that his live performance might turn vulgar, but he was a class act.

Demetri Martin is old school great

by perch on 7/13/09State Theatre - Minneapolis

We are not Martin's target audience; we brought our thirteen year old son to the show as a special treat to celebrate finishing 7th grade - we knew nothing about Demetri Martin, but our son loves him. We thought Martin gave one of the best stand up shows we had ever seen and we have see a lot. We have tried to convince our son that not all standup is as good. He'll learn.
