Demetri was fantastic! His material was hilarious, and his improv was great. Even when a fly attempted to upstage him (iykyk) he just seamlessly integrated it into the show. He was so memorable and delightful, I'm already looking forward to when he comes back to Seattle!
Bottom line: he gives his all to the audience. His humor is deeply intelligent as well as spontaneously zany. Love the lens of funny through which he views the world around us. He is a genuine comedian!
Demetri was absolutely historical and I felt like the entire show was unique to our city and showing. There was a fly buzzing around the stage and what followed was 20 minutes of hilarity as he battled it out trying to get rid of it. He was effortless in his delivery and best of all I was able to take my teen with us without having it be overly crude. Highly recommend and I will be seeing him in another city soon.
I will try to see Demetri anytime he comes to Seattle. His shows are always great. He even did a bit about the annoying fly that kept making a cameo throughout his set - his "smallest fan". It was hilarious.
I have admired Demetri’s comedy for a long time and finally got to see him live. It was as good as I expected and fun to see him interact with the crowd! Great job
First of all, I love the Humphries on the bay theater. It is an excellent venue. Demetri Martin was as always hilarious love, him. Love him love him!
Demetri Martin was great as expected! Venue is clean, parking is very easy and seating is good at any spot. Only cons are price of alcohol, way out of control - $21 for a mix drink and $41 for a double. Also, seats are not the most comfortable to sit in.
A unique and hilarious show, for sure. The way he incorporates art and music into his act… genius. I can’t wait to see what he does next.
Demitri Martin was great. Super funny, clever, and very likable guy. Will see him again next time in town. Humphrey's is a great place to see a performance, outdoor, on the bay, under the stars, etc. Only complaint is that they really need to upgrade their seats to something a little more than plane white plastic chairs (at least a cushioned seat?), and their stage was a bit boring. Some updating/modernization would really make this the go to venue.
The accommodations at Humphreys by the Bay are terrible. Cramped and uncomfortable chairs that seem like they were placed there in 1963. How about spending a few shekels on improving the seating. We've been attending fewer and fewer show every year for the past 10-15 years, and will likely not attend another. Too many other venues to choose from.
Great comedy show and venue. He joked about the lighting as well but it was easy to see his accessories used.
It was great except for the seating so close to everyone
Dimitri Martin was a lot of fun. Lots of moments that make you go “hmmmm” and then chuckle. Would see him again, but ideally at a different venue. Love the general setting at Humphries (by the water, palm trees, sunset, etc), but hate hate hate those darn chairs and the too tight of rows. Yes, I’ll still go to shows there, but it is always with a bit of a grimace and a prayer that the person next to you is chill, bathed and didn’t overdo the cologne! I’d give Dimitri 5 stars, Humphrey’s 2.5 stars.
One of our most cleaver and smart comedians of our time ! A true American treasure ! Great set and great delivery of intellegiant humor . Had a great opportunity to chat after show , a sincere and super engaging human being ! Don’t miss this show but also don’t miss the opportunity to support this great comedian !
The best comedian out there. Nice, kind, nothing heavy, just pure light hearted comedy.
Wow!! Demetri did it again. Never laughed so much. A genius!!
Demetria show was hilarious. We never stopped laughing and had such a fun night! I hope I can see him again.
Demitri was in full form at the City National Grove in Anaheim. I was laughing, or at least chuckling from beginning to end. His strange and hysterical observations make me feel more normal about mine.
Demetri Martin gave a great performance. He has a unique style of comedy, and it was a lot of fun. I was laughing the entire time. He played his guitar, did drawings and had a lot of one-liners and spins on common words and phrases we use every day. It was everything I expected it to be. I will see him every chance that I get. I was surprised that his opener Ryan O'flanagan was a high-quality performer. Usually openers are obviously just openers, but he was very funny. Started the night off well.
