The introduction by Elizabeth Ruiz was way too long. One goes to this type of event to hear the guest speaker, who should be properly but briefly introduced. Mr.Chopra's appearance was disrespectful to the audience (blue jeans and a dirty shirt?) He didn't talk about the subject that was announced. He gave us a canned speech. It took to long for him to get to the subject. His presentation was too long.
Deepak is a transformational person and more people need to really listen to what he has to say. It is awesome and right on.
i have read his books and watched DVD. i was hoping to feel his existance and receive his wisdom by sharing the space. Well, i feel i did. As several reviews mentioned in other location, the group meditation was very interesting. His comments such as "do not blame others for what happened to you", "do your best and wait for the outcome which is beyond your control" stayed with me. I hope i can be as spiritual person as he is some day - plan to help community with what i can offer for now. I feel that advertisement for this special evcent was not spread out - my friend did not know about it till she read it on Suday paper... It was for a good cause and i wish more people could have join us.
My favorite part was the meditation. He made it easy to understand and t follow. He was very informative.
It was a very nice evening and I would try to see him again if he was in town. His theme that evening was very similar to what you find in his books, almost verbatim. He lead the audience through a meditation. I really enjoyed that.
The talk from Deepak was exceptioal (as always), very stimulating. I am extremely disappointed in the VIP reception. The food was unhealthy. For the price I paid for the VIP reception, I should have had a well thought out healthy meal. There was also not real opportunity to communicate with Deepak. Deepak seemed to be only there for a book signing. I bought two VIP tickets, my guest was also not happy with the reception. it seemed you guys made alot of money of that VIP---you should have put at least one third of it into the reception.
We paid a lot of money for a one hour meet and greet buffet. This was a huge letdown. It was some greasy finger food and a cooler of drinks. We even had to stand--no chairs! The meet and greet consisted of him coming out at the end to sign books and maybe you could take a quick picture. So this was a total rip-off! The lobby was filled with all kinds of books and merchandise you could buy. His actual talk was excellent but it was supposed to be two hours, and it was just one. Furthermore he had a slide show which could have been much improved. He did have a lot of amazing ideas which gave us a lot to think about, but we wanted more.
Deepak Chopra is always amazing, no matter the venue. However, considering the cost of the tickets, I was disappointed that he spoke for less than half the expected time and appeared unprepared for the lecture as evidenced by his lack of familiarity with the slideshow he presented. He did a book signing, but appeared to take it with a bored, rote manner, not at all positive and refreshing, rejuvenating or inspiring. He's great, this seminar was less than unforgettable.
My friend and I gave this event to each other for a Christmas gift. We traveled after work for 2 hours to hear and hopefully be enlightened. Deepak changed me. He spoke to my heart, mind and spirit. I meditate and feel connected to the universe. Thank you! Happy Holidays.
Unforgettable. I suppose I expected a more uplifting if not interesting presentation from Dr. Chopra. I'm certain he could have shared more interesting excerpts of his life than he did. The slides presented made me feel like I was in high school again. What is our consciousness? Not enhanced after that show.
Deepak was his usual gifted self, and he presented an informative, helpful lecture. I was very pleased that he came to our area, and his remarks on his early experiences in New Jersey added color and humor to his presentation. I would like to see more events like this, and would be happy if Deepak came again. My husband liked him, too.
It was very nice to be able to bring my husband along and introduce him to what is going on in my spiritual journey. Dr Chopra is an excellent speaker and we were both fully engaged for the evening.
The fist half of his presentation was beautiful, clear, funny, and so enlightening. The second half was a slide presentation and discussion which was a little dry and felt rushed.
Deepak was delightful. He spoke non-stop for 2 full hours. What stamina! The audience stayed right wth him the entire time he spoke. Deepak spoke on many of the themes from his spiritual healing books. He is bright, very funny, and a thoroughly enjoyable speaker. The TD Arts Center is a wonderful facility. It's a surprise gem inside Washington Township High School. I will be going back there in March for Riverdance. I highly recommend this facility.
Dr. Chopra is an outstanding speaker and a great scinetist.
Absolutely incredible!! It was such an enlightening experience. I can hardly wait for the next time I will be able to see Dr. Chopra!
program was excellent. I would recommend this program to any of my friend and family. I would attend his program again in th e future. Very in formative.
Overall, this was good. He touched lightly on many topics. As a long time Deepak follower, I would have preferred something a little more deeper spiritually. More Ah-ha moments. It would have been nice to have had more CD's of his books,meditations,etc, for purchase instead of mostly books.
Deepak Chopra lecture was filled with many many life changing ideas to ponder on. Recommend for anyone that is searching for a life of fulfillment, and happiness.
Enjoyed the content and was left wanting more! Awesome! For the type of event it was fine sitting on the side...all seats in this auditorium even if on side face forward and you can see the performance very well.
