Death Cab for Cutie was formed in Bellingham, WA in 1997 and almost immediately entered the ranks of the era's definitive bands, fueled in large part by the remarkable power of co-founder, lead vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist Benjamin Gibbard's complex, often bittersweet songcraft. The band made their worldwide popular breakthrough with 2003's RIAA Platinum certified Transatlanticism, later named by NPR as one of "The Decade's 50 Most Important Recordings." Plans, their 2005 Atlantic Records debut, saw Death Cab for Cutie ascending to even greater heights, earning RIAA platinum certification and a GRAMMY® Award nomination for "Best Alternative Album" while spawning the chart-topping singles, "Soul Meets Body," "Crooked Teeth," and "I Will Follow You into the Dark," the latter of which was honored with a GRAMMY® nod for "Best Pop Performance By Duo Or Group With Vocals."

Great shows, energy by DCFC and they do not disappoint. A must see band live.
Deathcab for Cutie was fantastic! The venue was over packed. Way too many tickets sold. People were standing in the hallway leading to the actual venue/GA section. They couldn’t even see the stage from there.
Great band, great show, great venue, zero complaints. Support Rock 'N Roll!
It was so over crowded and packed all the way to the back of the room the only way to see anything people would have to pay an additional $100 for seats built 5 feet above the ground so people can see. It was really terrible and a waste of money and time. I’ll never go back there.
Last time we tried to see Death Cab was at the Innings Festival in Tempe. Ben was able to sing about 3 1/2 songs & couldn’t continue. We were thrilled to see them perform a whole show this time!!! So glad Ben was well enough. His voice is like magic. And the energy was contagious. It was so nice to see them in a more intimate setting. We had a great view from the spot we picked. We thoroughly enjoyed the show.
House of Blues Anaheim was awful. GA was over sold and VIP was under sold so unless we wanted to pay an extra $225 each for VIP seats we were packed like sardines, no walkway at all, yet behind and above seats were empty. The ticket desk response to our complaint was “oh well it’s a sold out show and that’s what the fire marshal has allowed us” so they didn’t care at all. We left after the opening act played 2 songs and there were still people coming in, cramming in, so we didn’t feel safe at all. Waste of money and time and so sad not to see the headlining band we came for. Will never go there again.
Ben Gibbard and Death Cab For Cutie band never disappoints. I’ve seen them a few times now and they sound as good live as they do on their albums.
Nice venue but no seats and very crowded. I guess if you don’t mind standing shoulder to shoulder with the crowd for hours your ok.
The show was great, at least what I saw. I take full responsibility for missing a lot of the show but I had been following the tour start times which were consistently 9 pm on the regular (non festival) dates so showed up around 8:30 pm and they were playing their 10th song. Not sure what happened to the opening act but it couldn’t be too hard to send an alert email or text with the change. Great venue, great band and great crowd.
The show was incredible, and as always Desth Cab really poured everything they had into the show. The new material is really good, the old material will always get me. They did a great job of mixing the new and the old. Always love the Van Buren as well 💗
The venue is a good one for music, but it took forever to get in and we missed the first few songs. The band even started late to try to wait for people to get in. There needs to be a better system for entry here. And parking was a total nightmare!! Lots charging $40 to park, garages charging $25 and up. Ridiculous! Makes us not want to go to any more shows in downtown Phoenix. The band was wonderful though and it's always a fun show to see. I'd definitely see them again, but hopefully they pick a different venue or there is an option to buy parking passes ahead of time that are reasonably priced.
It was an unforgettably majestic night spent with an individual who has earned my love and respect by seeming to understand me on a very deep and personal level! Oh yeah... my wife was there too;) Love you hon! Ben Gibbard puts on an amazing show!
Concert was phenomenal! Venue was soo great! I will go again!!
Such an amazing concert!! Of course loved the band and the venue such a fun and positive experience!!
The music was absolutely awesome but that’s what I would expect from this great band. What really made it over the top good as the light show. It was perfectly timed and kept you mesmerized. Had an absolute blast.
It was our 1st time seeing Death Cab live. Fantastic show, great music! The new album asphalt meadows is really really good, especially live. The band has a lot of energy onstage. Loved it!!
The Factory venue was excellent for sound quality and comfort and service. DCFCutie put on an excellent show as well.
Great concert. Their new album is awesome. Played the classics as well. Would have preferred it stayed at Red Hat but was still great.
I've been a fan for 20 years. Tried to see them twice in LA when I lived there. Got the flu once. Moved across the country and missed it a second time. I was over the moon when they announced this show in Charleston, and they did not disappoint. Fantastic show. Great live band. Firefly Distillery is an awesome place to see a concert. It felt like the crowd was getting to know DCFC, kind of quietly listening rather than screaming and yelling, and that was just fine! I sincerely hope they come back!
Best show I’ve ever been to. The venue was amazing too! The only thing I would change is to have separate vendors for beer and liquor so the beer lines might move a bit quicker!
