I enjoyed my experience. I didn’t like that a corner of the stadium was blocked off because I had to walk 3/4 around the stadium to get to the escalators. I also wish the second screen would have worked during the competition.
We sat on the end of a row of seats. They were good seats. So we were up and down so many times as seat jumpers would show up and then have to leave when the owners would get there. I get it if it was just the corps members but these were just people that probably bought cheap seats. There has to be a way to stop this without a big inconvenience of checking tickets all of the time. And also, the field DCI employees should stop chatting and wandering in their area during performances. It was obviously social since they didn't use the radios nor leave. Very distracting.
Great shows but you have to buy pricey tickets for each show ahead of time not knowing if your team is going to make it or if you only want to spend part of the day there. We had $400 worth of tickets for finals that we didn’t need. They don’t check tickets inside so people buy cheap seats and then go sit wherever so constantly telling people to move.
We bought 3 tickets and it turns out we were in the middle of a high school group, so they talked constantly throughout the event loudly and with crude language. I wish we would have known some sections are essentially group ticket areas and other sections were apparently general admission without large groups of teenagers. For the price of the tickets it would have been good to know this info ahead of time. As to the venue itself it is okay, but a lot of sound reflections with the roof closed, even with the extra baffling.
The bands were great. It would be helpful to have someone monitoring the stairways to keep people from entering and leaving during the performances. It became very distracting with the constant back and forth and having to get up to let people back in the rows during the performances. They block off the stairs to bleachers during high school band competitions so why can't they do it for DCI? I would think most people who attended this event would know that the expectation is to wait until a performance is over to enter the seating areas.

The precision and the sound of Drum Corps is unmatched. The show was wonderful, innovated, inspiring and excellent.
If you enjoy marching band, and even if you don't, this is a great event. The young adults involved have literally dedicated their whole summer to nothing but practice and performance. This is top-level marching and musical performance. Be aware that due to the popularity of this event it can be difficult to get tickets, especially good seats.
The actual performances were incredible! The sound was outstanding. Loved every minute of it. However there is never enough concession stands and having to stand in line and miss two or more performances is unacceptable.
Always love the DCI World Championship! 3 days of the top drum corps in the country. We had great seats and I enjoyed every minute.
I’ve been a fan for 45 years and the show gets better every year. 2023 semi~finals and finals were spectacular. All of the corps were entertaining, the venue was great. No complaints
I first marched Drum Corps in 1960. Have been attending shows almost every year since I aged out in 1967. I attended Friday Night's Semi Finals and felt it was the best drum corps show I ever attended. Top to bottom all the Corps had great energy and performed brilliantly. What a great Night of entertainment!

From Start to finish well coordinated, fresh programs, talented corps, powerful, BUT didn't care for the electronic with spoken word. Many times couldn't understand audio, should be eliminate on back to more music and visual experience.
It was wonderful from start to finish! You can’t possibly imagine the full in- person experience! The Corps, venue and city are off the charts! Everyone needs to experience this at least once in their life! So excited to see the talent and commitment displayed on and off the field! This was a very inspirational experience! You leave with such high hopes for humanity in general and for our next generations specifically!
Having multiple gates opened helped. I wish the signage was clearer on how to get to your sections. We felt like we had to backtrack several times because we missed it. Also more consistency with the food/drinks. I was dying for a hot dog, but all I was able to find open was pizza. Finally after walking forever I found a hot dog. I had a pretzel and it was stale and hard. I ordered a coke, ended up receiving a diet coke. I am allergic to artificial sweeteners. I didn’t remember what stand I used, so that was money wasted. I wish the souvenir cups had the DCI logo.
The event itself good. The fact that the DCI event is a long several days, you should have more staff that can accommodate the short breaks. Or allow attendees to bring in their own concessions. When you're paying such an expensive price for the event and there isn't the time to get food you should have a full staff of cooks, runners and cashiers. The turn around for the products you have shouldn't take so long. Also train someone on the type of event and the flow of the traffic.
I'll always love DCI. But semi finals would be SO MUCH BETTER if there were programs that explained the performances. I'd love to know the theme, the music, what the performance is about. I only attend semi and finals so without the program it's all still beautiful, but hard to get any concept or theme. It's just a lot of sound and running around. I'd be happy with just a QR code posted somewhere, and interested attendees could download. PLEASE bring back the program!
Ticket purchase was easy, and entrance to the stadium with the ticket master app went off without a hitch. Lost my phone during the event…someone found it and turned it in. All the employees that helped me locate, and then retrieve my phone were great. Staff were extremely helpful and kind! Will be buying tickets and attending in 2024! Holding DCI finals at Lucas oil Stadium is the best venue!
The entire experience was amazing and I enjoyed every minute! These young people are so talented and dedicated!
