Amazing experience - give and take
by Webbs on 8/20/25Rating: 5 out of 55 stars for the bands! New yearly tradition unlocked. We attended prelims on Thursday and Finals on Saturday. Thursday-We were in Section 143, 9th row. Great view, great sound, formation changes a little hard to make out. We arrived shortly after the doors opened and left before scores that evening. 12 hour day. We were able to exit and re-enter with hand stamp which is great for a long day. There were several band booths and other vendors which was awesome. My daughter was able to get plenty of swag. We were able to get through food lines and bathroom lines easily but that’s partly because we timed things a little more carefully. Food is expensive as per usual in arenas, be prepared for that. We did notice that most people stayed closer to the east side when finding food, however, we did find food stalls further down the other end that had no lines. For people who are sensitive to colder temperatures, come prepared. As others have said, it is cold. I personally have cold sensitives but was comfortable in jeans and a lite sweater. We enjoyed our time so much we bought last min tickets morning of finals. Section 633, row 12. What a hike that was entering at the east entrance, bring your walking shoes, and hope you’re not afraid of high places. The view was perfect for formation changes. However, the big screen to the right was obstructed by a large curtain so you couldn’t see close ups. The large screen to the left was not showing the field which is incredibly unfortunate. The audio from announcers was either off or not loud enough and was horrible. You could not hear anything they were saying up there. The food stall directly in from the section entrance was selling food that wasn’t ready. The lines had 2-4 people backed up who were waiting and had already paid. Take away from finals day, fix the audio, fix the visuals, and care a little more for the people in the nose bleeds. Highly highly appreciate the band vendors for staying open after awards. All in all, we will be back.
