    Show Was Great!

by Scott on 2/4/22Paramount Theatre - Seattle

We had no idea what this show was going in, ended up loving it! Kept us engaged. There was enough interesting content, funny content, and witty banter between all to keep anyone interested. Bill Gates was a great surprise as well.

Amazing show! Exactly what you hope for from Dax, Monica, and David. Feels like sitting with old friends! My cheeks hurt from smiling so much.

    Glad to support Armchair Expert

by Jenn on 2/4/22Paramount Theatre - Seattle

It was nice to support Dax & Monica. It was a little boring to watch. And the venue was cool, but we got one drink with a refillable container you had to buy to bring it in the theatre @ 8:00 right before the show… went to get one more drink at 8:55 and all the bars were closed already… kind of dumb. I will also never do that parking garage again. There’s only one elevator entrance & we were parked on Level E… the had a person checking everyone out so we were stuck in there for 40 min waiting to get out.

by Stacey L on 2/4/22Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Totally lived up to expectations. Love Dax and Monica! Love David and Wobby Wob! Bob's music rocked and Bill was an excellent surprise guest. Can't wait for the next time they are in town!

    Absolutely fantastic

Dax, Monica, Rob and David were even more delightful in person than on the podcast. This show filled me up!

    Heartfelt and Entertaining

by Lisa on 7/9/19Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I'm a big fan of the podcast and I attended with a friend who's never heard it. We both had a great time! Bob Mervack played a great musical performance at the beginning and got the crowd excited for the show. As always, Dax was vulnerable at times, hammy at times, funny, and genuine. The guest was good. I was disappointed by how infrequently Monica was an active participant in the conversation—without a fact check to balance things out, this was very noticeable. I'd give this show a 9 out of 10!

    Minneapolis Podcast

by Sharorama on 7/3/19Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Loved the introductory live music playing homage to our late, great, Prince. It was a perfect warm up to the anticipated theme, "He's an Armchair Expert." The crowd went wild as Dax emerged on stage with his signature bib overalls and flat cap. Monica's introduction met with equal applause and yells from the audience. Their guest was local culinary daredevil, Andrew Zimmerman. Dax asked great questions and delivered some great improv. This must have been quite challenging as Andrew tended to be a bit "long winded" at times. There was a quick Q&A between Dax and the audience where he answered about 5 super silly questions that got some laughs. The show lasted around 90 minutes. The general consensus of the audience around me was that they were wishing for a bit more Dax and a little less Andrew. It was awesome for this "arm cherry" to see Dax and Monica live in what is blossoming into a legendary podcast.

    Amazing Event!

The live podcast of Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard did not disappoint! It was everything I hoped it would be and more! I hope they come back to MN next year!

It was a great experience at the theater!

by Jackie OG on 7/2/19The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

We had great seats in the balcony but it didnt look like there were bad seats! We lucked out and had good neighbors to talk with before the show (her husband didnt listen to the odcast but came along like mine.) And the guest and conversation was exceptional! Thanks for providing a great (rare) date night for us!

Dax and Monica are amazing! AZ..meh

by HF on 7/2/19Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Dax and Monica are amazing. I wish Andrew Zimmerman would have allowed them to get a few words in. Still 100% worth it.

    Slow entrance

by Blair on 7/2/19Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

New security measures take a very long time to get everyone in. It also created a lot of congestion in the lobby. Long lines for merchandise and at the bar. Once we got in the show itself was fantastic.

    Disappointed

    by Dax fan, but . . . on 7/2/19Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

I'm a super fan of the podcast and was excited to hear Dax and Monica do their amazing standard interview LIVE in a huge theater full of fellow Dax fans. It was disappointing that they chose someone local. With a free set from Lazy Boy they certainly could have used some of the ticket sales to bring in a guest. It would have been fine to have someone local if it had been a good interview, but Zimmern talked over Dax and Monica the entire time. It was frustrating and unenjoyable.

Who did I pay to see?

    by B. on 7/2/19Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

I love Dax and the Armchair Expert podcast. His banter back and forth with the guests is entertaining and informative. This guest didn’t let him get a word in. I paid to see Dax and learn from a guest, instead I got an Andrew Zimmern monologue that nearly put me to sleep. Ugh. Come on, Dax!

    Awesome awesome awesome!

    by Gracie5290 on 7/2/19Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

I am a huge armcherry so I was so excited for this podcast and it lived up to the hype in my mind! Andrew Zimmern was a great guest, even if he didn't leave Dax much room to talk, but he was very interesting. His life story was fascinating! Dax is a great storyteller and does a wonderful job weaving his stories in without taking the spotlight away from the guest. Monica made the best joke of the night. The only downside is the Orpheum allowed people to get up and go to the bathroom or get drinks in the middle of the show so people were constantly getting up and falling because it was dark and they couldn't see. The guy next to us got up 3 times in the 2 hour show to go and get drinks and double fisted every time he came back! Ridiculous! That was distracting but the show itself was excellent. As was the Armchair Cocktail, even if it was $14! All in all a pretty great evening!

    Unfortunate Guest

by Mplsfan on 7/2/19Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

The only thing getting two stars is Dax and Monica, the ones who we all came to see, for the two words they got in the entire evening. Unfortunate guest choice in AZ, so arrogant and quite frankly boring.

Armchair Expert— great podcast but guest wouldn’t share time

by ebram on 7/2/19Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

This was a fun show, and I love the podcast, but I badly wanted Andrew Zimmern to let Dax get a word in!! Sometimes Dax does that to guests a bit, but here it was painful that there was very little give-and-take— which is usually the best part of the show! Made for a less interesting show than I’d hoped.
