    Dawn Richard gives me lifeeee!!!!!!

    by Incog9 on 3/1/13Howard Theatre - Washington

The show was amazing. Aaron Camper opened and had great stage presence and energy. Bridget Kelly was next and kinda boring. Nothing drawing me in to her stage presence. She reminds me of Keri Hilson. I think they lack the It factor although beautiful. Dawn Richard ended the show and set the place on fire! Her energy, vocals, dane routines, everything, was on point. I'm not just saying this. She gives a great show. And this is coming from someone who has seen almost everybody in concert from Paul Simon to Drake to Alicia Keys and Beyonce. Dawn is an amazing performer with incredible stage presence. She puts you in a trance. Go see her.

    From New Orleans to DC

by Fleurdelislibra on 2/26/13Howard Theatre - Washington

When I first realized Dawn Richard was coming to DC I knew it was a no brainer since we are both from the same city although I reside in DC now; I felt the need to show some hometown support. Although I was a big fan of Dawn I became a fan of Aaron Camper after seeing his performance. Having already established himself in the music industry this is def a split artist to look out for. His smooth transition of medleys and amazing voice gave me chills. It was amazing to see a new artist but seasoned songwriter bring a strong presence to the stage vocally and performance wise. As soon as I got home I immediately downloaded his mixtape and new single. Another good act on the bill was Bridget Kelly. Her catalog speaks for itself being under Jay-Z's wing. After seeing her previously I already knew she would kill it nonetheless and she didn't fail me. And the last person to come to the stage was the amazing Dawn Richard. I swear this girl's vocals are like being touched by a spirit each time you hear it. And you can definitely tell she is seasoned in the game vein able to give exquisite dance moves while still holding her vocals in tact. There was not one complaint I could give her. I would definitely go see Dawn wherever she is on the east coast.

I was so inspired seeing these young, driven performers WORK for it! They are each exceptionally gifted and have such powerful stage presence. You could tell they are doing what they love. It's refreshing to watch a show and see passion and FIRE. Loved it!!

    concert

    by songbird86 on 2/26/13Howard Theatre - Washington

The start time was 8pm but it didn't start until about 8:20 which is quite good for concert knowing that it can linger for hours sometimes. Each artist started their sets in a timely manner, ample parking was available (very good for d.c.), and the artists were interactive with the crowd and they were amazing. The MC was also pretty good as well. Highly recommend!
