Great event! Amazing Tennis Center and nice people around.

The seats were not good. For over $100/ticket you could only see part of the court, the whole alley was blocked from view. The doubles should haver been discounted as it was a shorter match than the first and third days.

    Tennis Live is Fanastic

by ShyAnne3 on 7/19/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

If you watch tennis on TV all the time like I do, you will never realize how fantastic it is live. The pros are so real. The play is so fast and loud.

    Maybe, Maybe Not

by Markholt on 7/19/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

The tennis match, or what we could see of it, was top quality. However, even though we paid big money to sit in the eighth row, we could not see the near doubles alley nor part of the far court. I estimate we were unable to see how 1/3 of the points ended. I believe this had something to do with how the court was configured for Davis Cup play.

Great close up of US Open champion Marin Cilic

by Zentennis on 7/19/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

Ticket master switched my printed tickets to will-call the day before the event on the phone. Good service. The event in Oregon was great in all ways, especially seeing US Open champion Marin Cilic up close twice, plus doubles of the famous Brian brothers. And it was 10 minutes from my home!

The atmosphere of being at Davis cup was enjoyable. Parking was easy. Everything felt laid back, maybe too laid back. Security wasn't very strict. They said no backpacks, yet I saw many people with backpacks. Including police officers needing to come into the stands to collect a backpack left behind. In this day of age, I prefer security measures be enforced. My seats were more expensive to sit closer behind the USA bench but from our seats less than half the court was visible. We were constantly moving to other seats in order to see. It was a nuisance to bounce around on many changeovers as people returned to their seats. It was a team sport yet we never saw the team bench. Poor design since the court was already in a sunken bowl. The food carts were excellent.

Good tennis; event needs better planning

by 10SBuff on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

The event was fun--we saw some great tennis--but the organization was a little lacking. Nobody checked parking passes, some security personnel required us to dump out our water (water!) upon entering while others did not, and food options were limited which led to *very* long lines for food. If we wanted to see the match, which was indeed why we were there, we had to skip the food. After 5 hours of match play and being required to throw away snacks and water upon entry, we were hungry, thirsty, and disappointed with the food service.

Poor Court Visibility, Not Enough Info!

by kd3232 on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

The venue was constructed specifically for this event so there was no way of knowing the quality of the seating ahead of time. It was physically impossible to see the entire tennis court from about half the seats in the stadium. I had a very tall guy with a big head in front of me that blocked a full 25% of the tennis court (luckily it was just for one of the singles matches, because in doubles we could also not see one of the alleys at all!). The first day they were adamant: no backpacks, no food, no water (water bottles OK). It took me 20 minutes to find water to fill our newly emptied water bottles-- nobody knew where the water fountains were (there were fully two of them for 6,000 people). Had to stash the backpack in the bushes all day. Cost $20 for parking- all good info to know beforehand, but not available. Did not know the venue was outdoors without calling the facility! People, we can do better than this!

Great tennis - view not great

by jenpz on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

This is an intimate venue which should have offered only great viewing. But, in my seats we couldn't see one alley at all, and the guy in front of me obscured the middle of the court. It's too bad as I've been in tennis venues larger than this and did not have this issue.

    Fine job by all

by jmlbaer on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

USTA, City of Beaverton and Tualatin Hills Tennis Center deserve a lot of positive praise for a job very well done. The whole event was smartly organized, and we felt very safe in these turbulent times.

    Amazing pro tennis in Portland!

by BarbarellaPDX on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

Great venue and amazing event! We opted for the least expensive tickets as the stadium was only 6000 people. Turned out to be the best decision as we could see all the lines. We moved down near friends that had more expensive/closer seats and you couldn't see if balls were in or out because the lines weren't visible.

    Great spirit at Davis Cup

by BaldEagle16 on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

The viewing was terrific as was the level of the spirited tennis played by the USA and Croatia! The venue could have been organized better with more bathrooms and more conveniently located food.

    Davis Cup well done

by mespaldo on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

We thought the venue did a great job with this special event. Parking was easy. Restrooms were adequate. Seemed like all seats were good seats in the temporary stadium. Food vendors were a little disappointing in variety and speed of service. The folding chairs were horribly uncomfortable even with a seat cushion as they had no low back support at all. The other irritation was that the 3 day parking pass was not clearly promoted at time of ticket sales. On site parking was twice what the pass would have been.

    Bucket List

by DallieDog on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

So glad I spent the money for a 3 day pass. Lot's of sitting but worth it. Venue was small and personable. Great tennis - wish I could play even remotely like that! Always fun to see the pros in person. There were NOT enough food carts/vendors for the amount of people. Way too long lines. Some folks said they waited an hour in line. No place to get water without paying for it at $3 a bottle. I spent $12 on water just the first day alone. Parking at $20 a day was waaaaaaaay too expensive. BUT - I'd go again for sure!

    Unfortunate seating experience. Awesome tie!

by svarma25 on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

We got the 3 day package for all the matches. The positive was that all 5 matches were relevant to the tie since Croatia pushed US all the way and then won the final match. However, we had an extremely poor seating experience. I paid $140 each per person for the 3 days but got seats that was flush right behind the railings and people entering. Unfortunately the seat map doesn't show you actual seats to select from, so we got stuck with the wrong ones. I now learned my lesson to not take the pre-sale tickets through USTA and buy specific tickets only later when available to the larger audience. This doesn't discount the ambience and experience in the stadium. It was amazing and totally enjoyable. The concession stands need improvement. People waited sometimes 45 mins to buy their food items which meant they missed that part of the match One of the ushers in front of us was totally annoying, calling out to Jack each time when he was about to serve (C'mon Jack!, Its ok Jack!, Focus Jack!).

Davis Cup was an incredible event!

by PDXCharlie on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

Great Davis Cup experience! The atmosphere was incredible! Got to see my favorite players practiced up close! Loved the Bank of the West/BNP Paribas booth! They gave us free stuff every day! Davis Cup please come back to Portland!

Great tennis but stood in line all day

by OregonPlatypus on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

The tennis was great. We came to watch Isner's big serve, but the speed gun didn't work most of the time. We didn't know how fast his serves were. But the worst was how poorly planned and laid out the event was. There were lines for everything. Lines to get in, lines to get out. Lines for restrooms, beverages and really long lines for food. They only had 6 food vendors and one ran out of food. We missed 2 sets just getting food and eating it. The parking was handled well where we came in and left easily. The other frustration was the ushers letting people walk through the stands during points and during games. It disrupted the players where they had to wait for people to sit down. I would recommend seeing the Davis Cup but not there unless they get their act together.

    5 Foodcarts for 6,000 people?

by Moscatochoc on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

Tualatin Hills Rec is a beautiful facility and most aspects of the event went well. However, while not allowing spectators to bring their own food, they failed to provide facilities to get food. I missed the last 2 sets of a 5 set match waiting in line for food for my cousin who had a medical condition requiring that she eat. Also, the sound system was configured in a way that caused an incredible kickback, making it almost impossible to understand anything being said through the speakers.

    Seat location awesome; seats/chairs horrible!

by AVIDTENNISFAN on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

The venue was fine and the seat location was good. The cheap, flimsy and horribly uncomfortable folding chairs were hideous. So bad in fact that I was not able to enjoy the three day tickets I purchased because after day one I suffered terrible pain and muscle spasms rendering me unable to attend days two and three. Food carts were poorly run, unbelievably slow and unprepared for the size of the crowd. All in all a serious disappointment to a much anticipated event. I would like a refund for days two and three including Lot A parking which I prepaid.

    Davis Cup

by Local10 on 7/18/16Tualatin Hills Tennis Center - Beaverton

The matches where great. Friday was some of the best professional Tennis I have ever had the pleasure to see live. The venue was not set up properly for the fans viewing enjoyment. We paid for premium seating a six rows back near center court, about half the court was obscured by people and railings. The stands where simply not constructed vertically enough to accommodate full vision of the tennis match. The final day we stayed home and watched the last to matches in our living room--with an unobstructed view. Loved the matches -- Hated the venue.
