This was a terrific event. We saw the world number 1 doubles team, the Bryan Brothers, play a 5 set match against Brazil. Great match even though the USA lost. Would highly recommend seeing a Davis Cup match whenever you can.
The Davis Cup doubles match between USA and Brazil on Saturday was really exciting. 5 sets and 4 hours long, except for the fact USA did not win, it was great! The venue was easy to find and access. Only wish they had Davis Cup memorabilia available right when you entered the arena, you had to hunt it down.
I loved the event. I thought it would be a USA blow out and it turned out to be a tight match. Congrats to the USA and Brazil teams for some great play! Also enjoyed talking with the Wilson Tennis reps re Wilson gear. Heard some criticism re poor marketing of the event. I expected a bigger crowd than there was. Overall, thought it was a great event. Go USA Davis Cup!
Loved it. The seats were great and the event was so much fun. The inclusion of music and Ace just made the atmosphere better.
If you have never experienced Davis Cup tennis...DO! Even if you are not a fan of tennis the experience is electric!! It is one of the very few times in tennis where the crowd can cheer, sing, dance or whatever else they feel like doing to cheer their countrymen on to a victory. It is a patriotic experience as well as a chance to see some very high level tennis....and it's super fun!
It was awesome to be able to see the highest level doubles play close to home. The arena was awesome and the tennis even better. Wish more folks bought tickets as it would be great for the Davis Cup to return to Jacksonville.

This should have been a sold out event. Instead, there were less than 2000 attendees for the last match, which was the deciding match and very very exciting.
I adore tennis and frequently attend professional tennis events (US Open, Indian wells, Sony Ericsson Miami, etc.) ; however, was disappointed with ticketing for this event. We should be able to pick our seats and should not have to purchase 3 days of tickets. The low attendance is likely predictive of how this ticketing method failed. It was embarrassing to be at a world tennis event with the arena only 1/3rd full.

The tennis was great! However the crow, or lack thereof was embarrassing. No wonder why this city has the reputation it does. Saying that the players were great, the staff at the Arena were friendly and helpful. Too bad we won't see another Davis Cup here in the foreseeable future.
The Davis Cup is always most exciting when it goes into the final day of competition -- no 3-0 wipeout after the first two days -- and we got it! Too bad that the Bryan brothers lost, but it kept the excitement alive.
This early round Davis Cup did not meet expectations. There was a small crowd and although the players certainly made an effort, it was not very competitive. It was cold in the venue and jackets were required. I would not plan another trip to a Davis Cup and think the format has lost its luster when compared with the major tournaments. Tickets and lodging exceeded $1500 for a party of two. Simply not worth it.
When the tickets become available for July 2011 Davis Cup quarterfinal tie between USA and Spain, we should fill the venue and show out support. Andy Roddick just broke the record with 11 Davis Cup clincher wins while the team was in Chile in March. The Bryan Brothers are the #1 Men's doubles team in the world, and Spain has the most top ten players of any country. This will be Epic. Gotta give our support. Venue TBD: Either Austin, TX , San Antonio, TX, or Albany,NY.
