David Spade on Tour

David Spade is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, talk show host, and television personality with razor-sharp sarcasm that will leave you in stitches. He's best known for his performances on "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) and hilariously endearing role in Joe Dirt (2001) -- a film he both starred in and co-wrote. Other box office hits from Spade's film career include popular titles like Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (2003), The Benchwarmers (2006), Grown Ups (2010), Grown Ups 2 (2013), and The Do Over (2016). In 2020, he was a People's Choice Award nominee for Favorite Comedy Movie Star in the film The Wrong Missy (2020). On the small screen, Spade received one Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations for his work playing the wise-cracking assistant, Dennis Finch, in the American sitcom "Just Shoot Me!" He also starred in the beloved CBS comedy "Rules of Engagement," joined the cast of "8 Simple Rules," co-wrote the screenplay and performed voiceovers on MTV's "Beavis and Butt-Head," and hosted "The Showbiz Show with David Spade." Later, he became the host of Comedy Central's "Lights out with David Spade." Over the years, Spade has entertained viewers with his self-deprecating humor and outrageous wit as the host of the Teen Choice Awards and the Spike Video Game Awards, and made guest appearances on sitcoms like "The Goldbergs" and reality TV programs such as "Bachelor in Paradise." Now, you can enjoy a no-holds-barred night of laughter with tickets to David Spade live on tour as he returns to the slapstick stand-up comedy that first made him famous.

David Spade Live

A natural prankster born on July 2, 1964, Arizona native David Spade started doing stand-up while he was young with his family and friends urging him onto the stages of bars, theaters and campuses across the country. He performed in Arizona State's long-running sketch comedy show multiple times, where he attended school as a fraternity member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He also got experience delivering laughs at Greasy Tony's Pizza during the Monday night comedy shows in the mid-'80s. In 1990, Spade took his comedy career to the next level when he joined the crew of "Saturday Night Live" -- first as a writer, then quickly making his way up to cast member. Shortly after his television debut on SNL, Rolling Stone dubbed him "Hot Stand-Up Comedian of the Year." Over the next five years, Spade would become a household favorite, well-known and loved for his comedic persona. He built his unique brand of sarcasm through skits like "Hollywood Minute" and "Total Bastard Airline" until eventually leaving the cast in 1996. His venture into film and television thereafter was immediately successful, earning himself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by 2003.

  • Nikki was fantastic!

by Jules on 9/12/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Nikki crushed it! We were belly laughing for her whole set. David came out with note cards and spent a lot of time looking at them. It was disappointing to sit there while he figured out his (new) material. He had three or four good laughs, but otherwise a fairly bland set. Not sure if the hecklers got him off his game, but he didn't seem to have his heart in it.

  • Not worth the time, much less the money

by Three ladies on 9/9/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 1 out of 5

The first opener was pretty funny. Nicki Glasier was funny for 5 and then disjointed, crude, insulting and a hot mess. David spade was only on for maybe 20 minutes, kept having to look at his notes and was generally just not there.. even if his material would have been funny (which I don’t think it was) it just was poorly presented and delivered. The venue being freezing didn’t help either. Just wish I had gone to a different show instead of wasting my night and 3 times the cost on this one.

  • Don’t waste your money

by CB on 9/9/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 1 out of 5

The opening act was boring. Nikki Glaser was good and SHE should be the headliner. David Spade told some regular stories of his life and they were far from funny. I’m sad I spend time and money on this show.

  • Half Disappointed

by BB on 9/8/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Nikki Glaser was great. Spade mailed it in. No preparation, no pace. Looked at notes. Seemed like trying out new bits.

  • Glaser on fire/Spade Meh...

by AJ on 9/8/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Opener that was not on the bill was funny. Glaser was on fire and funny as hell. Spade looked like he didn't want to be there. Funny at times but reading off a paper and saying things like he's trying out new stuff or whatever is not what I want to see at the Venetian Theater. Try out new material in smaller venues first, not paying what we paid for at a top-notch Vegas venue.

  • Nikki saved the show

by Rob Z on 9/8/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Spade opens with insulting an audience member because he's wearing shorts. This is Vegas, not LA. Why does a seasoned comedian have to refer to his written notes to keep the monologue going? It seemed that Spade phoned in the show. Nikki saved the entire show. She has very original female comedy with great timing. Three stars for Spade, and that's a gift. Five stars for Nikki, all day long.

  • I flew to Vegas for this?

by Devo on 9/8/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 1 out of 5

Mr Spade gave off a sense of not wanting to be there. His jokes didn’t get laughs, and it seemed like he cut his act suddenly short. He was not on stage long at all. We flew 4 hours to come and see this and we were VERY disappointed. Have seen him in the past and he was much better.

  • Getting a bit tired

by Paul on 9/8/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Pretty bad show. I get the whole Nikki Glazer schtick about being a dirty little girl, but enough already, get some new material. Spade was a complete waste of time, not funny in the least. Opening act was the best of the night.

  • C+ (So So)

by Josh A on 9/8/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Show was just ok. Lots of options in Vegas and I wasn’t really blown away. I feel like I’m a pretty decent judge of standup sets and both were pretty average. Both Nikki and David felt like they were both up there to do exactly 45 minutes, get off stage, and collect a paycheck. I’ve seen funnier, I’ve seen worse. C+. Passing grade.

  • An evening with David Spade

by Coli97 on 6/30/25SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center - SacramentoRating: 4 out of 5

We were actually very surprised when we arrived that night. We actually caught a glimpse of David exiting his vehicle! Awesome. It was a pretty great show, too. We were not impressed with his two opening acts. They were terrible.
