About

David Nail grew up in a small town in Missouri, the son of a former high school band director whose musical collection included Stevie Wonder, Elton John and the Beatles. Nail turned to country in the 1990s, then started going back into its history and became a big fan of Glen Campbell. He moved to Nashville right after high school but returned to Missouri after a year. Two years later, he gave Nashville another try. He completed an album for Mercury Records, but it was not released. After taking a break from the music business to help coach a baseball team, he was introduced to music publisher and producer Frank Liddell. Their musical partnership led Nail to sign another record deal with MCA Nashville. His MCA album, I'm About to Come Alive, is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2009.

    Great show. Intimate venue.

by RoadkingKC on 11/25/15Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park Hard Rock Live - Northfield

David Nail was great. The sound was good.. a little heavy on the drums but probably due to the small venue. He played for an hour and a half. We had great seats... center of the house about 15 rows back. We enjoyed it very much. Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park is a great place to see a show. Not too large or small. Plus, before and after the show you're in a casino. What could be more fun than that!

    David Nail was lame!

by Anonymous on 11/24/15Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park Hard Rock Live - Northfield

The best part of this concert was the opening act, and I have no idea who they were! It was 3 guys doing an acoustic performance, and they absolutely blew David Nail away! Overall, this may have been the worst show I've ever seen!

David Nail @ Eight Second Saloon, Indianapolis

by Musk84 on 3/28/158 Seconds Saloon - Indianapolis

Honestly, I don't understand why these guys are not bigger than they are. They have a modest following by today's standards, but their music, melodies and lyrics are heartfelt and profound. David's range from ballads to rock is broad with a voice that carries him through. The supporting members are incredible musicians in their own right. What occurs to me is that I hope these guys don't get "too big" because I want to continue to experience them in more modest surroundings. My wife and I saw them at Bogarts in Cincinnati a year ago and now at the 8 second saloon in Indianapolis. This way they are as accessible as their music, and I kinda like it that way.

David nail and carter winter's was awesome

by Jodye08 on 3/25/158 Seconds Saloon - Indianapolis

Love the job they both did. I saw David nail at the cma festival last year fell in love with his music then and was even better than when I saw him there. It's nice to see him and his band enjoying playing and performing together. And carter winters was very good can't wait to see him perform at the cma festival on one of the free stages. Thanks for a great show both of u.never been to 8 seconds before loved it

    David Nail was awesome!

by Sbowen628 on 3/24/158 Seconds Saloon - Indianapolis

The concert was awesome. Every time we ordered drinks we got them quickly. The only thing about the experience that I didn't like was that it said it started at 6 pm but the opener didn't even start until like 9 , and the headliner didn't start until after 11. Overall a great concert!

Other than security not paying much attention to people taking reserved stools, the event was fun.

    David Nail was fantastic!

by Anonymous on 3/24/158 Seconds Saloon - Indianapolis

David Nail was awesome! But we're new to Indy & 8 Seconds Saloon, so it would have been helpful if the venue had provided some details, such as; 1) Time the show actually begins. Tickets & 8 Seconds website only showed doors open at 6 pm. Tried to call, didn't get through. 2) Name of any opening artists. We were told by the door attendant that the opening band was Cornfield Mafia; had heard of them so was looking forward to seeing them, but the opener was a solo guy on acoustic guitar. He had a great voice but became a bit boring as he was just covering other artists' music. 3) 8 Seconds' website doesn't mention food. Called but didn't get through. Otherwise, looking forward to going back for dancing and/or other shows.

    great concert

by darlagi on 3/24/158 Seconds Saloon - Indianapolis

Great concert, and David Nail was a much better "performer" than the last time we saw him. We love his music! The only negative comment is that any time he spoke we couldn't understand anything he said, and we were in the front section. Not sure if it was a problem with the location or just the sound system. We will see him again !

To be honest, our tickets said 6, so we got there then and waited till almost 10 before anything started, seating was awful and I was not impressed not happy. We left and don't even see David nail. I doubt I go another concert at 8 seconds or a David nail concert.

    Not allowed to stand up

by Ewright12349 on 3/24/158 Seconds Saloon - Indianapolis

My Wife and I had a great time until about 5 songs in We were told we were not allowed to stand up at the concert, only because a select few people around me didn't want to stand. Mind you I paid good money to sit or stand at the concert and wanted to participate. Not sure if I will ever go back!!!!

    David Nail @ Harrah's....very forgettable

    by trbrocks69 on 12/17/14Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort - Maricopa

Have never seen David Nail in concert but love his music so we went. He's NOT a performer. It was almost like his feet were "nailed" to the stage. "Performing" is not what we went for, we went for his music, but it was hard to stay focused with his shifting back and forth from one foot to the other. He played mostly new songs but did do a few of his popular older ones. At one point he announces that the band will be right back. We were a bit confused if they were just taking a break or what was going on. They returned for a couple songs then exited the stage without a "thanks for coming", "goodnight" or anything. The soundstage music and lights came on and the "roadies" started taking down the equipment. We realized these last two songs were the "encore". Overall, not dissatisfied, just not a great experience.

David sang well and my wife and I enjoyed the concert. Too bad it was a little chilly . Might have had a bigger turnout.
