  • Solid Performance

by ShinShin on 2/21/10Berklee Performance Center - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen his performance on YouTube and caught his concert broadcasting on PBS prior to the event but still did not expect the actual performance sounds so good. The Berklee Performance Center is a small stadium but the sounds are very good quality. Seeing him immerse into his music world and all the melodies spinning off the string is quite something. Hopefully he will return to Boston again with more orchestra based performances or some collaborative projects with crossover musicians such as Maksim Mrvica (another musicians should definitely come to perform in America). Overall very worthwhile experience and looking forward to see him live again soon.

David is an incredible talent and gorgeous to look at and sweet to watch. As are the members of his band. I would like to see him whenever he comes to MA. I'm looking forward to David providing us with new material though. I've seen him do this material a couple times now.

We didn't know what to expect at this performance as we had never heard of David Garrett. He was remarkable, very warm, genuine and a pleasure to the ears.

  • David Garrett was AWESOME!!

One of the best concert choices I have made in recent history! David Garrett's performance was incredible. Besides the fact that he has incredible technique, technical skill, and artistry, he is geniunely engaging person that kept all of us in the audience enamored by his charm and antecdotes. The concert was a full two hours with 2 encores and an intermission. I loved his mix of classical standards with edgier rock riffs and soul ballads. If you are a fan of classical music and like a modern twist, I would definitely recommend that you go see David Garrett in concert. What a great show!

  • David Garrett...phenomenal

by Anonymous on 2/18/10Baton Rouge River Center Theater - Baton RougeRating: 4 out of 5

David Garrett was an incredible artist and accompanied by a very accomplished drummer, base player, guitar player, and keyboards. The guitar player was especially talented. The performance I give 5 stars...Garrett was wonderful, was entertaining but didn't talk too much, and had a very balanced set. I would have liked to see a symphony accompany him but his show was spectacular regardless. The event itself I thought could have used a little more effort...a screen behind him showing close-ups for those not seated close, better thematic elements (lighting, etc...) but overall a great experience!

Absolutely wonderful! There was a wide array of musical genres--all done in unique and compelling ways. From hard, driving rock to soaring sentimental strains--it was great.

This was a terrific concert with a great balance of rock and classical music. The musicianship was great and the audience enjoyed it (maybe not some of the older attendees). Highly recommended!!!

  • Extraordinary Artist

by jingnu on 11/1/09Berklee Performance Center - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

David Garrett is a fabulous violinist in his own right and the surprise is the quality of the musicians he plays with. Great mix of classic and rock. He engages his audience with humorous stories and connects on multiple levels. I feel lucky to have seen him in the springtime of his musical career in a small and intimate music hall. And then there is that fabulous instrument that he plays . . .

This concert was incredible. As I type this I am on hold trying to get tickets for the next time he is in town. David Garrett played several pop songs as well as traditional classical music. He is an amazing violinist and his band was great too.

  • An Awesome Talent

by rcjld on 10/29/09The Midland by AMC - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

David Garrett and his musical crew were incredibly talented. We loved the music, particularly those pieces David had arranged or written. Hope he'll include Kansas City and the Midland (great venue) again.

  • David Garrett is amazing!

by Katissa on 10/29/09Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

I had seen David Garrett on PBS in August and immediately went to the internet to see if he'd be playing in DC. The concert at the Birchmere was wonderful. I've been gushing about it to friends ever since. If the concert on the second night hadn't been sold out - I would've gone back! I already own his new CD and the DVD, but just ordered Virtuoso. If you love music - classical and rock - and want to see and hear an amazing violinist, you must see David. On top of being a marvelous musician, he genuinely seemed like a very very nice person. The music, David's stage persona, his down-to-earth manner, his humor and his rapport with the audience made for an exceptional performance. Have I gushed enough?

David Garrett could have played all night and I still wouldn't have wanted him to stop. The man and the music were beautiful. I would go see him many times if he came back to the US.
