  • Garrett and friends deliver!

by VMpls on 3/22/10Fitzgerald Theater - St PaulRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. The venue was intimate, which was perfect for this performer. Even though I had only heard him perform with a live orchestra before, you didn't feel cheated or that something was missing. He balanced fantastic music with just the right amount of story-telling in between songs. His band mates were just as impressive as David. They were all phenomenal musicians. From Metallica to Bach to Bernstein and back—there was something for everybody in this show. I have a feeling that I will never be able to see him at this price or at such a small venue again—this star is definitely rising!

A most amazing night, including classical music and rock, performed by incredible musicians!

  • David Garrett Rocks!

by BarbiC on 3/21/10Park West - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

What an AWESOME concert! David Garrett is very gifted on the violin and was very charming and entertaining. He played for over 2 hours. The setting was intimate and personal. We got front row seats and didn't miss a thing, but every seat in the theater looked like a good one. The venue was easy to get to with convienent parking. I guess the only draw back was a 12 oz soft drink was $4.00. I think that was a bit high, even for Chicago. Even with that, I'd go back to see him again the next time he's in town!

  • David Garrett is a great showman!

by Beachdog on 3/19/10Park West - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

David Garrett is a great showman. I loved his music and the stories he tells about them. His music is unforgettable. I'm not the least bit surprised that it was sold out all three nights! We drove down from central Wisconsin just for his concert and it was well worth it. The only thing I didn't like was people constantly getting up to get drinks, walking back and forth in front of us. It seemed disrespectful to him. There's time before the show and during intermission to get what you want!

  • David Garrett was outstanding

by MRFIRE on 3/19/10Park West - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent show, great pace, good mix of songs kept the show moving. Having an artist interface with his audience like David does was a breath of fresh air. The "band' is talented and the execution was flawless. The ticket prices were below market value and made this the best "value" for your entertainment dollar. We attend over 20 concerts a year and deem this show as a must see for everyone of all ages.

Great variety of music. David and band seemed to really have fun together on stage. Enjoyed the stories behind the songs and why they were written or chosen.

Park West - great theater. David was amazing and a wonderful host. His playing was so emotional, but the drums were way too loud to hear much of the music....lose the drums

David Garrett is a genius. He appeals to all age groups, plays music that spans centuries from 1700s to present, and who incorporates every musical genre from classical to rock ...peppered with musicals and folk. Simply incredible.

  • David Garrett will be as big as the Beatles

by SBonner on 3/18/10Park West - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I saw David Garrett on his last visit to Chicago and he was just as extraordinary on St. Patrick's Day at the Park West. He has legendary talent, a fabulous personality and is deliciously handsome. He is going to be my future husband but he just doesn't know it yet. There will be no one bigger fiddler and he will take the world by storm like Elvis and the Beatles.

Loved it. He was magnificent. We need more concerts, like this. Do not forget to bring kids, my 10 and 6 years old really enjoyed it. By the way, great place for the concert. Thanks, Val

David Garrett is sooo beautiful and sooo talented and plays the violin with such passion and compassion that it takes you to another place in the world, no one can really appreciate his music until you get the lucky chance to see him in person, so I really recommend any time you get a chance to see him in concert go!!!! He is someone so special.

Unbelievable concert. His talent is phenomenal and he has truly figured out a way to combine the passion of classical with the heart thumping sound of modern rock. This show appealed to an audience of all ages and has inspired my youngest daughter to take up the violin.
